Cashback terms and exclusions

What will stop me getting my cashback:

  • SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase, and must not be deactivated until your cashback is payable. If the SIM is deactivated prior, Boost may decline cashback.

  • Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. If there is more than one SIM in an order, it will result in an untracked purchase and the purchase will be ineligible for cashback.

  • Cashback is ineligible on eSIMs, recharges, phones, bundles, accessories.

  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.

  • Cashback is ineligible on purchase of gift cards and/or use of gift cards for payment.

  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential:

  • Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.

  • Always return to TopCashback and click through via the pink cashback button to the retailer's website for each new transaction. Ensure the TopCashback link is the last one used to visit the retailer's website prior to completing your purchase.

Good to know:

  • Ensure you disable plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole & VPNs prior to clicking/tapping from TopCashback as they will prevent your order from tracking.

  • If you cancel / return / exchange / modify your completed order, it will no longer be eligible for cashback and will be declined in your account.

What to do and when:

  • Missing cashback claims must be lodged within 90 days of purchase.

Enjoy!

Great deal! too bad we need to activate in 30 days, I'm only half way my 12 month plan

    • So the sim expires after 30 days?
      The seems odd

      • +2

No, you need to activate the sim no more than 30 days after purchase, otherwise cashback will be rejected

  • +1

I'm coming back on the 20th of October when probably be 110% cash back!

fyi I ordered one yesterday and that tracked within about 3 minutes

    • Only problem with that plan is- you won’t have time to activate the sim by 21 October!

Better come back on 16th when it’s 90% cashback.

      • actually IIRC you can purchase a $2 sim & activate that on your account? last time Sim got lost in the mail. the guys at boost help desk told me to do exactly that but it was a few years ago.

  • Any cashback deals for 28-day SIMs ?

  • -2

    Catch connect better deal

  • I have never signed up with TCB? Is it reliable? Also, if I signup with this purchase through referral, will I get $70+$35?

    • Yeah, been reliable for me! Got the referral too last time

    • +4

You've got TA for any potential hiccups to resolve which is more than I can say for other companies..

  • Also, what’s the best $2 sim for port out and port in from boost currently?

    • I use aldi

      • Thanks. Do they sell in-store or online only? I am worried if I receive it before 21st Oct since I am not in metro.

  • Wonderful

  • I keep getting

    Sorry, something went wrong.

We're sorry but we're experiencing technical issues. Please try again later.

    Anyone getting the same message?

    • Yep, as an existing customer I imagine they are blocking the transaction in order to increase the likelyhood of a recharge vs port in port out collect cashback.

      Are you exisitong customer?

      • Nope.

        • +1

Reply from their team via chat:

Please wait for 24 hours to purchase a sim card again in our website as our technical team are already working on fixing the issue in our website. They will post a notification in our website once it's good to order again a sim card.

Nothing to with blacklisting people speak of.

          • @Makaroni: So they claim…

          • @Makaroni: It's a load and of BS, they'll remove their bar since you contacted

            • @spy: but why would I be barred if I've never been a customer…

          • +2

@Makaroni: It looks like they still haven't fixed it. I just tried it and got the same error:

            "SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG

We’re sorry but we’re experiencing technical issues. Please try again later."

Edit: And yes, I am an existing customer. When I spoke to them over live chat, they said they couldn't see any evidence of a failed transaction on their end. They suggested I check with my credit provider to see if they are blocking the transaction with Boost, or try again in 24 hours time. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

            • @fring: Weird, waited 24 hours, still doesn't work for me…

  • HODL for $80 cashback!!!

    • +1

      hold till after expiry right

      • Nope, I already set some reminders

  • Last chance, SIM unavailable from 21 October 2024. Other recharge options available.

So does this mean the cheapest option will be the $300 one then? That’s gonna draw more customers in lol Buy a few on the 20th then flip for profit the next day.

  • my Telstra 12-mo plan is up in a few weeks this is a solution i need

    thanks OP

Might just go back to Aldi $19 if no cheaper
Can’t justify extra $72 a year for something I may not notice.most of the time I stay local

    • Which plan is that with aldi?

    • $19/month?

      • Yes $19 a month sorry
The boost $300 works out to $25 a month

        • +1

Im pretty sure this is a better deal after cashback since youd be paying around $13 a month for 14gb. Its also 5g which is a plus

          • @Bigbanger666: Well mine ends in January so not sure how that will go
I guess I can buy it October 20 then activate it November 20 and I’m only 2 month off
            Still work out cheaper

  • Thanks OP, bought 1x SIM and used referral link :)

  • Pretty sure that I can't, but just in case i am missing something…… I want to buy this today adn activate it tomorrow - just found out my partners 2 year $49/month optus contract is up tomorrow. Is there any way I can take up this deal and still activate it tomorrow? Like order it physically and then use some nifty eSIM changeover trick even though it says cashback is ineligible for eSIM?

  • Anyone else unable to get to the boost mobile site from the topcashback link?

  • My boost 260gb 365 day plan ends on 27 November. Should I port out early and then port back to boost to take advantage of this noting must be activated within 30 days of purchase?

    • Mine expires exactly the same day and I'm definitely porting out early and porting back in. Worth it I reckon, only losE about 5 weeks.

  • @tightarse are you able to assist?

Thank you for confirming. Please be informed that Boost does not affiliate third party websites. For this we highly suggest to contact Topcashback to check their reward link if there is an issue as our Boost website is not under maintainance.

    From boost mobile rep Remy.

  • Hi All, could you let me know when the $70 cashback offer expires? Thank you.

    • Today in 5 hrs.

  • +1

Getting error "Sorry, we are unable process your order. Please try again later", tried multiple times.

    • Same… Anyone know why this is the case?

Also another question, does it matter what name and driving license details I have to use to complete the order? IE. I am buying for wife and noticed it asks for driving license details. Do I have to use my wife's details for the order or can I use mine and during activate process use my wife's details?

      • Do you have to give them driver's licence details just to buy the SIM?
I thought all the personal identification details were only required to activate the SIM.
You don't have to give any personal details to buy the same SIM at Officeworks.

        • it asks for driving license details just before paying screen.

    • Same, I've tried multiple times Saturday, Sunday, today with multiple different credit/debit cards, 2 different addresses, 3 different browsers, and I'm not an existing customer.

Boost is trying to absolve all responsibilities saying its not their problem. I feel this is poor customer service and false advertising. What's the point of offering cashback through a third party if you can't make a purchase?

      • Well.. I see now that on TCB it says ends in 4 days… is the fault on boost end or TCB tho?

      • Thanks for your reply Makaroni, I ordered one.

      • Hi Makaroni, you might try again, I just ordered one without any issue. Good luck!

  • Need to activate by 21 Oct or within 30 days is ok?

    • +2

I believe you need to activate by 21 Oct if you want the bonus 10GB of data, that takes you from 160GB to 170GB. You need to activate within 30 days of purchase if you want the cashback. So, if my understanding is correct:

      • activating on 22 Oct means you get 160GB of data and the $70 cashback if 22 Oct is within your 30 days of purchase.
      • activating after 21 Oct and outside your 30 days of purchase means you will get 160GB of data and no cashback.
  • +1

I've tried multiple times since yesterday. Still error "Sorry, we are unable process your order. Please try again later"
Reported mods, received a response that the deal is valid. Technically this deal is unobtainable since yesterday afternoon.

if this helps, I just made a purchase 10 mins ago, creating a new TCB account using on of the referal links and then went ahead with the boost sim purchase. I used my mobile, a browser which has no adblockers and mobile data to make the purchase. It went smooth and 2 minutes after the successful boost sim purchase, got an email from TCB about this purchase getting tracked.

  • Yeah i tried multiple ways, using mobile as well with no luck :(

  • The cashback is still appearing on the TopCashback website, hopefully it stays for a few more days so everyone can get it

  • I'm not familiar with Top Cashback or other Cashback deals. How do I take advantage of the offer?

  • Tried again with process as stated by @santomaharaj still no luck. New tcb account, new delivery address, new card details :-(
