$230 170GB Prepaid SIM will be unavailable from 21 October 24. Activate by 21 October 24 for 170GB data for new customers.

What will stop me getting my cashback:

  • SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase, and must not be deactivated until your cashback is payable. If the SIM is deactivated prior, Boost may decline cashback.
  • Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. If there is more than one SIM in an order, it will result in an untracked purchase and the purchase will be ineligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on eSIMs, recharges, phones, bundles, accessories.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchase of gift cards and/or use of gift cards for payment.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential:

  • Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.
  • Always return to TopCashback and click through via the pink cashback button to the retailer's website for each new transaction. Ensure the TopCashback link is the last one used to visit the retailer's website prior to completing your purchase.

Good to know:

  • Ensure you disable plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole & VPNs prior to clicking/tapping from TopCashback as they will prevent your order from tracking.
  • If you cancel / return / exchange / modify your completed order, it will no longer be eligible for cashback and will be declined in your account.

What to do and when:

  • Missing cashback claims must be lodged within 90 days of purchase.

    "SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG"
    "We’re sorry but we’re experiencing technical issues. Please try again later."

    Same error I got when the Cashrewards $60 cashback deal was on.

      Probably been put on the Boost Mobile “blacklist” for buying/having too many services.

      I know a couple of fixes that can help attempt to resolve this error, such as manually adding your address (based on other people, they track that), your email and your payment method. In addition to that, try buying on a new browser so the cookies aren’t saved!!

    Just bought the $50 cashback from previous deal, hasnt tracked yet.. how can this offer come so quickly. looks like Boost needs to clear out all sims before 21 oct

      Ditto that, I haven't for mine tracked either. I've always found their tracking to be slower and more problematic than Shopback and Cashrewards. Not sure if it works better to use the internal browser from their Apple app (they're android app doesn't appear to have the internal browser).

    • Hey @irmalik, reach out to TA via messages with proof of purchase (invoice) and your TCB email. He’s an excellent rep and I’m sure can help resolve this tracking issue if it hasn’t yet tracked, otherwise you can submit a missing transaction claim with them after the “cooling” period has ended!! Make sure to do this before the 100 days limit!

  • Would porting out from Telestra to Boost mean that I am ineligble for cashback?

    • possibly, but it's also likely that you can't port from BigT to littleB using a starter kit. Unless it's changed recently you need to poured out to a totally different network i.e. Optus or Vodafone

        Not correct, last October I ported to Aldi (Telstra network) and back to Boost within 24 hours.

    Cashrewards has $45.50 cashback. Hopefully they increase it as TCB has been terrible with tracking. Between the misso and me we done 8 purchases and 6 have needed claims, including neither of us having that woolworths deal tracked, which has some ridiculous waiting period.

  • Whats the go with porting out and then back in? Any limits?

    • Not for me, but others have had issues. I port every month so that's 6 boost sims per year.

      • Do you port them to something non-Telstra supported before going back to Boost? I'm wondering if it will work with let's say Boost > Aldi > Boost

      but I believe you still need to pull it out Of the Telstra network and back in again.

    Needs to be marked as targeted or unobtainable. There’s a poll on pzbargain that over half of the respondents couldn’t check out. I’m not even a gamer of sims. I’ve been with boost once before and now always get "SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG"

    • Sorry mate, it's not unobtainable, just bloody frustrating. I bought 4 of these sims last month.
      2 went through no issue with my visa, then the third failed. I waited 12 hours and tried again, and another went through, then the fourth failed. waited overnight, the same visa failed again, changed to a different visa, the 4th card went through.

      just some messed up crap in Boost validations.

          • @BargainsGrabber: Tried all that. I actually believe it’s a system error with Telstra. The staff tell me to use a different computer etc. nothing works. As I said. There’s a pool on here we’re 50% of ozbargainers can’t check out. I know it’s not user error

  • Curious when this cashback deal will expire, i couldnt see a time on the cashback page. If its not until later this month when the plan is discounted, it might be worth waiting to see if another deal pops up.

    It feels like top cashback fails to track 70% of purchases on the hope that people will just forget. They are quick to respond to missing cashback claims, but I reckon this business model is questionable.

  • For those that don't know, Boost are removing the 170GB sim entirely. The cheapest yearly will be the 260GB. I don't even use 100 myself, so a massive waste. Not sure who I'm going to go with when the 170 sim expires, but it won't be Boost.
