    As always F HN

Thankyou for sharing that you don't want a soundbar.

        • +11

Cool story bro.. the fact is you can get the entire soundbar set for the price of just a receiver alone. So yes, a 9.1.4 does sound a lot better than a 0.0.0.

@[Deactivated]: Price is everyone's issue you fool. You're on ozBARGAIN

Ok, good to know. People like soundbars because it is simple and affordable

BRO. WHAT THE F ARE YOU SMOKING?

No, I'm a male but I earn little, rent a room in a sharehouse, don't have much space, and soundbar works perfectly fine for me. I literally cannot fit a dedicated audio setup in my bedroom. Stop thinking everyone has the same circumstances as you do. And bringing sexism, wtf?

        • +9

I would reply but the downvotes are doing it for me.

        • +3

I had a 5.1 with amp and got sick of the complexity of it so I got a new Samsung TV and sound bar and I'm extremely happy with the result. It sounds good and it's simple to use.

@[Deactivated]: At no point in this thread has anyone made the argument that soundbars are better than a full surround sound setup 🤦🏻‍♂️ No one. Not a word. But you've just rambled out the same argument in almost every comment saying the exact same thing, as though everyone's trying to convince you that soundbars are better 🙄

We get it. You're an AV jock who believes he's always right and knows it all. But blabbering on and arguing your position on a topic that absolutely no one has countered is just ridiculous.

If you’re a man and choose a soundbar over a separate audio component setup, you’re essentially saying that you are a bit on the feminine side preferring the aesthetics of your home over performance, or your woman wears the pants in your relationship and controls decisions more than you do

Are you actually for real right now? Calling out soundbar owners as being feminine or not wearing the pants in the relationship is chauvinistic, sexist and downright pitiful. You need to get out and touch some grass as it's clear no smart woman would let you touch them. Every time I stumble upon your comments in a post it's the same dribble. And yes, I know by now that you need to get the last word in like every child under 10 must do… so by all means, go ahead. But I've already moved on ✌🏻

                  • @hvbarg: I think you have misunderstood what I meant by winning the previous arguments with the member. I didn’t mean that my point of view in those previous arguments come out on top, I meant that I have clearly succeeded in pissing off/annoying/get under the skin of the member, for them to care about me and the things I say on this site to the point that they’re now following me around the site and turning up in many threads I have commented in to quote me since we first clashed in another thread. Other than the interactions I’ve had with the member I have no idea what their other comments say in other threads, and I’m certainly not fixated on the member and stalking their comments showing up in threads they post in to continue arguing with them like the member is clearly doing with me. Therefore that and the member obviously hating me enough to do this is an indication that I beat them to me.

I don’t know the other member and have no interest in what they say on this site, the member is not important to me at all and I’m not interested in being their friend or anybody else friend on Ozbargain… The member to me is an insignificant nobody, they’re just a number on a forum on the internet whose feeling I don’t care about one way or the other, I don’t know them and never will know them.

                • @Suspect420: I'ma just say that this is all a lot to wake up to…

If only you had some friends to listen to your amazing sound systems with. Or maybe you do and I completely understand what you're saying, a soundbar just wouldn't do the job, you need a separate audio component system to drown out the dribble coming out your mouth from all directions.

Whats wrong with you? Are you hearing yourself? Go away pest… i just bought this yesterday.

    • No one asked you to? Good job having a full system though. I bought a soundbar for my TV because it is easy to setup. Plug in power, plug into TV, and instantly the movies sound amazing (compared to the TV speakers).

  • how does it compared to sonos playbar or beam with sub and one?

    • This has a lot more speakers, including rears in the box. Also includes a subwoofer and is wider with a better soundstage. Also has atmos speakers on the top. More comparable to the arc

Costco was doing 769.99. sold out in half day. lol

  • That's wild.

  • How does this 930D compare to the 990D?? Samsung website shows the only real differences are (930 vs 990):

    9.1.4 vs 11.1.4
    17 vs 22 speakers
50% more cost on the 990D

    What am I missing?

    • The 990 is much larger too

The subwoofer looks slightly different too. It seems the 990 has stronger performance compared to 930. Not sure of the specifics though.

      • 930 is fine for most rooms, the bigger sound and more powerful subwoofer makes more of a difference in larger rooms. I’d say apartments/units/townhouse would be fine with the 930 while anyone with an open plan living/dining/kitchen in a freestanding house would probably want the 990

    • HDMI 2.1 pass through

  • Dont mean to hijack.. just after thoughts on the best soundbar option for 1x Soundbar and Sub, no rear speakers. Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

    • Get the Samsung Q800C or Q800D.. they regularly go on sale when a new model comes out.

  • Yamaha is a better option

    • What model and based on what?
