read through some of the neg reviews, may not be new or right item, pay the extra buy elsewhere

  • Thanks Rogue. Hopefully it is exactly how it’s described in the advertisement. BRAND NEW

i'd avoid, dodgy seller selling refurb as new

Seller is committing fraud by stating tv being sold are brand new when in fact they are refurbished with no warranty. This seller should be barred from eBay. eBay itself was great in getting refund.
      BRAND NEW TCL 75C845 75 INCH 4K UHD Mini-LED QLED Google TV 144Hz VRR RRP;$2.999 (#225952854677)

      • How are they allowed to still be selling?

plenty of dodgy sellers on ebay, though just saw they have a warehouse in Braeside probably better to go their sus it out, that helps a bit

@RogueWolf: Exactly, it’s pickup so any ordinary person should notice if the box has been opened. I think this a great deal!

@RogueWolf: I've been to the 'warehouse' and it convinced me to buy a TV elsewhere.

EBay has gone to the dogs, so many fake sellers, crap items, dodgy returns and refusals, not sure why people still shop on their.

    I got excited for a moment…. then realised it's for a 55".

Well…. I've been hunting for an 85" TCL
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/868733?utm_source=searchal…

means an 85" TCL 85C755 if bought with a $185 sound bar meant the TV cost was about $1650, with a $150 good guys gift card thrown in…. so final effective price $1500
That's a helluva lot more tv for the buck than $830 for a 55".
Unless a brilliant deal comes along in the next while… I'll probably have to wait about 2 years until the normal best price for the 85" comes down to $850ish

Been looking for a nice 55" so thought I'd take a gamble on this.
Worst case scenario I used 28 degrees so have merchandise protection

    • Congratulations! Hopefully everything will be okay

Bought a TCL C835 on behalf of my mum from these guys a few weeks ago. Picked it up myself and the vibe of the place felt dodgy as, like I was buying something that had fallen off the back of a truck. That said it was fine, they've been around for years and that wouldn't be the case if they weren't legit.

The TV had signs it wasn't new. All the bits were sealed up in plastic as if they were straight from the factory but the box had been resealed and there was a torn label from some recycling mob. There are some very faint imperfections in the LCD panel near the right edge visibly in certain scenes. So I'm pretty sure it's actually a refurb unit they're passing off as "brand new".

That said, it was a very good price and my dear old mum won't ever notice the imperfections so I'm happy. If I wanted to get any other TV for the same money it would be crap compared to the C835.
