Stock Clearance Sale - Limited Units Remaining.
Coffee Machine Specialist Brisbane has dropped the price of the Bezzera Domus Galatea from $3300 to $1999 with shipping included Australia wide.
This seems to be the cheapest price for this espresso machine anywhere, which is rated 4.3/5 on Product Review. Super aesthetic, and makes great coffee. I don't think that Black Friday sales will even reach this low - could make for a great Christmas gift or addition to your home brew setup/cafe.

Yeah but to use these coffee machine need bit of skill as well, $3k coffee machine doesn't bring you next level coffee without correct settings and actions. Maybe little bit of placebo effect based on your spending.

Prior to buying this I had a Delonghi Dedica and was looking at upgrading to a Breville Barista express. If I had done that, I then would have likely looked at upgrading to a Barista Pro within acouple yrs. Then I would have looked at upgrading to a Breville Duel Boiler, and then I would have looked at upgrading to an italian or german made consumer machine. Basically, I bought this and haven't looked at espresso machines since and hopefully I won't need to for another 10yrs (its already been 6).

Yeah you've saved yourself a lot of time energy and money. Well done 👍

      • Can you outline your worikflow? What's this temp surfing stuff. Coming from a BDB.

Basically its as simple as letting the group head run for 15-30secs prior to brewing, if the machine has been sitting for awhile to purge any overheated water. It's not absolutely necessary, it's something I heard about back when I was looking at machines and I've just done it ever since. For someone like myself who only drinks milk based coffee, the difference is taste from any temperature fluctuations is likely not noticeable anyway.

If you've currently got a BDB, I'd be sticking with that thing until it dies. Great machine that would make just as good if not better coffee.

          • @OzAmore: thank you! what grinder do you have?

            • +1

@bogstation: Macap M2M. It's a pretty basic, no nonsense, entry level italian made grinder. I have considered upgrading it over the yrs and could never really justify it. I still might though if an unreal deal pops up on here that is considered a big upgrade.

  • Is this an upgrade if I have the Profitec Pro 500?

    • +1

      nope

      • Equal?

        • probably pretty close, I'd prefer the profitec if I had to pick between them personally.

          • @Bargain Slut: Yes, my Profitec is already making excellent coffee and is now 6 years old. Consistent grinding is so important.

A Breville Dual Boiler 2023/2024 model with updated/revised design parts for au$900-$950 (which is the price the BDB could be purchased locally for around this time last year between the end of October and early December), plus a DF64 gen 2 grinder for au$500-$580, is a better choice… Tell me something that will beat this/make superior coffee at this equivalent price, and amounts to even cheaper than this supposedly $2000 machine bargain that certainly won’t quite match in terms of quality.

Received the machine. Built in dec 2021, must’ve been sitting in a warehouse for a while. Makes great coffee, notably better than my old Rancilio Silvia. Looks amazing, so far very happy with it.

    • How long did it take to receive your order?

I ordered on the 11/10/24 but have not heard back with an order update yet and directly replying to the order confirmation email yields 'Address not found'.

      • Not fast, about 10 days. Give them a call maybe?

  • Nescafe $16 a tin + kettle $20. Job Done. :D
