  • I have t8520 with Rechargeable battery. Excellent deadbolt replacement

  • Any idea if these can be used for apartments? I remember reading somewhere they needed to be fire rated?

    • following, I'm still waiting for my bodycorp approval lol

    • The apartment door plus lock is owned by strata. They might be ok (with pre approval) with replacing the lock with another certified fire proof lock. But it's a lot of messing around. And fire proof doors are expensive.

      • Cheers, just another thing that strata needs to approve. Thank you

      Unfortunately deadbolts are not approved.

A few fire rated options are Schlage Omnia, McGrath Hamilton, Carbine CEL2.

Heads up, there's a new one coming out (just released in the US), the E30 (https://www.eufy.com/products/t85f1111?variant=4417033230764…)

    New model supports Matter.

  • I have an older digital lock that has stopped working (i.e. the electronics no longer work). Is it easy to just replace with a new one such as this?

    • Usually yes. But some locks have offset key holes so may require some effort.
I replaced an old deadlock with one of these and only required a slightly wider bolt hole.

  • No wifi?

Does it require a bridge for connected features?

    • T8520T11 is the WiFi version
no you dont need a bridge for the Wifi

  • If i have a mortice lock already in place like the one below, can i still use this digital lock?

Not as a direct replacement with this lock. This one's for a deadbolt lock.

    • Got a link?

      • my bad, was a doorbell not a kepad thing

    • Which one? Couldn’t find any

Seems like Headless poster thought it was a doorbell camera not a smart lock

        • Correct, my bad

      • Cancel! thought it was something else
