been dealing with a samsung ducted the past few days. all i can say is stay away and find something a bit more user friendly if any issues arise.

    • This is a split, Ive had one for years and never had an issue

      • yeah this is an $8000 system thats about 5 years old. cant even get anyone to look at it with how busy they all are in qld.

I can attest to this statement. Same issue when dealing with Samsung AC. Also has the same experience when deal with them for phone warranty also.

      • I honestly think there shady tactics should be exposed. my story is i cant get anyone to even book me in on the sunshine coast there all to busy. so took it into my own hands i had an error 123 which was a simple sensor. online it shows you how to test the sensor by removing it and using a multi meter. it has to range from -20to70c it seemed ok but i couldnt get it to them ranges. next step was replace the main pcb. replaced that. spent 2 days finding the option code, had to pose as a samsung tech who worked for one of these companys to get the code via there tech support. put the code in same error e123. called the samsung tech up again and asked what i should do. that sensor can be tested from the wall panel/remote. he told me how to test it and in 30 seconds we knew the sensor was fked. so in my eyes now all these company's are just withholding simple information to get call out fees and more work. fk em im now a samsung tech with their service manuals.

        • so in my eyes now all these company's are just withholding simple information to get call out fees and more work.

You have to remember that the general public wouldn't know how to use a multimeter much less change a pcb or sensor. It is pretty standard for companies to refrain from instructing the untrained general public to stick their fingers into electrical devices.

All it takes is one accident by an inexperienced person giving it a go and suddenly you'll probably have a new set of laws making even more basic things illegal - like crimping your own network cable.

          • @eug: thats understandable and very true. but my point is the dangerous none user friendly methods were regularly available just by a simple google search. while the simple safe user friendly method is was being hidden behind being a certified Samsung technician. If id know how to test the sensor via my wall panel i could of had this fixed 4 weeks ago and been $400 better off.

    • Is that an installer problem or unit problem?
