If you price match with jb hifi from scorptech, use $10 perks, and 20x TCN gc from woolies

    • I’m sure there are a lot of people out there who got $300 gift card through this deal.

lot of mucking about to save $5

Dherai Sasto, $25.25 each is awesome for it. I have one and looking to buy more as the tracker is pretty good. Shame that it will not support google's find my phone network otherwise would have been even better.

  • How do you make a goodguys commerical account?

  • Is that a carabiner clip or solid loop?

  • Last time I tried registering a TGGC account for Dad, they never sent him anything. Lets see if it works this time around.

Mum: "We have Airtags at home"

    Airtags at home:

    • You should try these, you'll be pleasantly surprised (assuming you own a Samsung phone/tablet)

      …. these have replacable batteries.

      • You sure bud ..it says x number of hours ?Well that could indicate battery life but I'll check … thanks for replying ..

Edit : I checked and I ordered … thes have replacable batteries…Thanks OP

Are these any good given they rely on a Samsung device nearby which seems like a big ask for a low density country like Australia.

I'm waiting for some google's find my phone network ones to drop.

    • +2

It's fine. It's a better density than you think, and due to googles security settings (opt in??), there's more devices to pick up and ping it. You'd be better going for these TBH, especially with an Samsung phone that makes use of the UWB.

Overall they are excellent to use.

  • My friend has a few and told me the battery died in a month. Is that how long they last in practice?

    • +1

No. It's typically a year on normal settings. You can go longer in battery saver mode (~700 days??), but I didn't bother.

Used all 4 on my recent trip to Taiwan and tried to use it every chance I got (planted one in the car, luggages, and another with a family member), tried em in shopping malls and they work as advertised. A bit slow than what I would prefer but then in the end they work, just need to give it by standing around getting signal (esp. using search nearby function)

I've got a Galaxy tablet but use a Pixel - can you set these up on the tablet and still track them on non-Galaxy devices afterwards?

    • No, I have the same problem. Use the tablet for tracking or my partner's Samsung. Check out the Moto smart tag. I will get one when Google makes default tracking better.

      • +2

Thanks. So frustrating - am keeping an eye out for the Moto tag - hopefully Google improve the network as early reviews aren't great.

        • It's because it only tracks in crowded (whatever that means) places on the phones and you have to switch it manually. Makes it not that great in baggage handling areas where only a few people might be around. Once they fix this, then I will check out Moto tags.

    • Would like to know too, was thinking about getting the Chipolo but sounds like they have a bunch of issues… I don't want to have to carry an old Samsung device just purely for SmartTags…
