I guess that price is just for the rolls only

      • +1

ah damn didn't spot that on mobile

    • I believe this is just for extra rolls.

$60.49 at checkout for the actual printer

  • OOS?

  • Cant add to cart

  • Got a blue one; thanks OP.

  • I cant see a coupon sorry ?

  • Bluetooth would be painful.
    Are there any Wifi versions?

    • +3

I have a dymo 4xl and setup a raspberri pi as a wifi print server for it. This should support same thing

      • How'd you go with drivers, all my devices need to have dymo software installed even after compiling cups drivers

      Why painful?

Wi-Fi is not power efficient and would chew through the battery very quickly.
They know what they are doing using BT.

My AAA powered Wi-Fi door sensors disagree…

Besides this is a printer, the printing function uses much more energy than the wireless communication protocol.

        • Your wifi door sensor doesn't sit idling in AP mode waiting for someone to open the door - it sleeps until you open/close the door.
A battery wifi printer that size would only last a few hours at best. Also imagine the support issues.

BT is the most appropriate protocol for this device.

        Yeah, maybe 10 years ago.
        That is not true anymore

    • I have the M221 (switched after got sick of Niimbots RFID DRM crap) and the Bluetooth has been quick and reliable. Given the generally intended use of quickly printing out random labels it's quite fitting I would have thought?

If creating labels on your phone isn't your thing you can also use these on desktop via its USB connection.

      • I'm confused between their different models and which is the sweet spot! Will have a closer look tonight - could be useful to have.

Comparing the Mxxx models they all give the same results I think and features are pretty similar between them. Pretty sure all these models can also print via USB.

The M1xx do 20-50mm labels and have a smaller 1200mAh battery.
The M2xx do 20-80mm labels and have a larger 2200mAh battery and slightly faster printing (not that you'd really notice)

I went with the M221 as I wanted the option for wider labels and preferred that it doesn't require a spindle for the roll like their others, just drop in and adjust the slide. I see the M221 going for $77 sometimes on Amazon, maybe a little cheaper on AliExpress.

If you just want skinny labels like a Brother P-Touch then the D30 or any of the other brands are a much cheaper option (but again watch out for those that use RFID like Niimbot or you'll be locked in to using their labels).

another dodgey Amazon seller getting caught out by activating the 50% discount before doubling the price.

    • Isn’t that half the sellers on there anyway

    • Now they cancelled and refunded the order (orange printer) 🤦‍♂️

  • Damn no deal now

  • damn, really wanted one

  • +1

they use these tactics to become #1 in their category on amazon

    • Others should do it too

  • OzBargain'd

  • Won't these thermal prints fade over time? Like old supermarket receipts?

    • Thermal print tech is pretty good these days. Looks like the labels are waterproof(waxed) so shouldnt have dramas. It all depends on the label quality

  • +1

    Wow that's cheap for a Rabbit R1! Oh…

  • seller cancelled the order by saying no more stock
