  • Is this the absolute ducks nuts of robot vacuums?

    • More like the Bee’s knees

    • -3

No. The Roborock Qrevo Master is the top of the line.

      https://vacuumwars.com/best-vacuum-cleaners/robot-vacuums/

      • it says "offering many of the advanced features found in their flagship model, the S8 MaxV, but at a more affordable price point."

@noise36: lol. Not enough sleep for you or something? Simply pointed out that the info provided by you contradicts the answer you gave. They are clearly saying the S8 MaxV is the flagship and the Qrevo is the more affordable option. Whether that's true or not, who knows.

              @seamonkey: lol zzzz

              • @noise36: Be me .gen X'er. Feel like I'm awake 2 hours a day max these days. Enjoy your week. 🙂

            • @seamonkey: Unfortunately, Australian pricing is a bit weird and as of right now, Qrevo Master IS the most expensive Roborock robot vacuum on sale currently here.

              • @keejoonc: if we were offered a free one…do we take the Qrevo or the S8 MaxV?

  • One of the Amazon reviews claims theirs stopped working after 15 months and the seller told them it's out of warranty and $500-600 to repair. Anyone own this that has had any warranty claim issues like that?

    • S8 Pro Ultra has 2 year warranty so there's more to that story than what the reviewer is letting on.

    • buying from Amazon even the device is out of warranty they will still help you out.

  • They release a new "flagship" every 3 months or so

  • No thanks, I am way too cheap to buy a $2000 vacuum cleaner! I grabbed a Viomi S6 off marketplace for $300 (has a dock, mapping function etc) and its fantastic. Best part is, if it dies after 1-2yrs, i won't be too fussed

  • Hey ..

The S8 Pro ultra is for $1499 ( refurbished though) from the official Roborock Australia website ..
$250 saving but donno if refurbished is the way to go.
Comes with 24 months warranty though !!

    Cheers

Are people really paying $1500 for higher suction but a useless mop?

At this price you should at least have a proper mop function.

    • I have the Qrevo and mopping is still terrible (doesnt clean unless floors are clean & leaves robot tracks everywhere on my floorboards, My old S5 sucked just as well was just noisy compared to the new model

      • I guess mopping in general just isn't there yet for robot vaccuums.

      • That's interesting. What exact model do you have?

    • We have this and mopping is fine. What are you expecting from a robot Vac.

      • Something better then a $200 robovac with a mop if I'm paying $1500

        • What $200 robovac has vibrating mopping with autocleaning, filling dock?

          • @zductiv: Lubluelu

No the mop doesn't "vibrate" but I doubt its much better.

  • It only $600 in China, but you can't use it outside of China. The machine detects network IP addresses as well as location information.

    • a VPN would work but a pain to set up.

  • I have the S7 MaxV Ultra for the last 23 months. We've got 2 kids and used to have a dog, the vacuum and mop has been fantastic. We had a motherboard issue around 12 months which was replaced under warranty. Turnaround was 2-3wks from memory. I do think it is worth the price because it does mop well enough such that we only require a proper mop once a month or so. We're 23mths into our warranty but if this one dies, I would not hesitate in getting it repaired or buying a new one.
