Always use the Aldi powder and Aldi white vinegar as a rinse aid. 99% of the time the dishes are perfectly clean. On the rare occasion maybe something will be left behind but that’s most likely due to poor stacking. Single door 20+ year old Miele dishwasher still going strong. Aldi tablets are also excellent value for money and outcome. Crazy to think what people pay for the ones heavily advertised 🤦♂️

(Some) Older machines are actually better than the modern ones because of recent energy and water saving regulations. The "eco" modes of recent machines are basically crap. You can't clean anything using those modes. The only program that does anything is the most intensive one (highest temperature, or pots and pans program).
I used the Aldi powder for a couple of years and it got the job done, I have some in the cupboard as backup which I sometimes also use. However the 18 in 1 tablets from Aldi are great, they work perfectly for my needs along with some cheap brand rinse aid.
Can't believe I used to throw 18 tablets in for every wash
Now I only need 1Waiting for the 50 in 1 to be released next year (reminds me of mp in cameras).
switched from finish quantum to costco (kirkland) tablets which is similar price per tab to this one - works great.
So what is the DEAL isn't this a place for bargins and deals not regular supermarket priced items. ???
has gone down 50 cents actually
Damn and I thought you guys hadn’t entered the chat yet, welcome, there should be a PS5 back in stock post soon for you to shoot down
The sky is blue. Post coming up very soon
I miss their basic tablets that were like $4 for 30 pack. Using the last one I had in stock. They were pretty good.
They still do them as per my post above. They have just changed the pack size to 45 and increased the price accordingly.

Oooh thanks for that.
These have a 10% chance of dissolving correctly for me. Very disappointed
Best to use powder or something that doesn't introduce even more microplastics
Is there more plastic in a container of powder or the PVA covers on tablets in a box of them? I remove the PVA before using the tablet and bin it personally and wish they didn't use them.
I'm glad this is back, been using it for 12 months now and every load comes out sparkling clean. The standard tablets does not clean avocado off ceramics for some reason and leaves some residue on plastic. The newer $12 platinum packs work the same but is almost double the price.
Avocado..humble brag? In this financial crisis
Surprised they even have a dishwasher. I thought their plates get binned after every feed
Pretty sure the water is fed from a case of sanpellegrino
Oh man I thought they did the bait and switch and forced us down the fairy rip off capsules they just released, could only find these in regional locations, thanks for the post. In b4 PS5 comments around in stock items not being a bargain
Wait until you break them in half and see they still do just as good a job as a full tablet!
Where are you all finding these tablets. All i can find is the newer soft pouches of platinum
Our local store doesn't have any. They only had the newer pouch of platinum version.
Can't find them in my local either. Asked staff showing them the image and they had no idea what I was talking about 😒
Double checked my local Aldi. This must be old stock. As far as i am aware, the platinum tablets are no longer made and no new stock for about 5 months now. Now it's just logix all in one, 45 pack for $6.29 and not as good.
These are $11.99/40 at my local. This might be specific to your store/area?
I bought these twice and both times the tablets inside plastic wraps started developing molds (black dots), any ideas why as I store them in a dry place and they should be fully sealed
We had that too! Still worked fine though. So strange that mold could live on them.
FWIW, I have a Miele G 7114 SC with AutoDos.
https://www.miele.com.au/domestic/dishwashers-2510.htm?mat=1…
I refill the AutoDos powerdisks and for a bit of fun I have tested the following powders/tablets:
Coles Ultra Dishwasher concentrate powder;
Bunnings Exonic Dishwasher powder;
Aldi Logix 2 x dishwasher powder; and
Fairy Platinum tablets. If I'm honest I've found a gnat's whisker of difference between any of them using them on a variety of soiled dishes.
The powders are my long term daily drivers due to cost, if I were to lean towards any of the products I've tested it would probably be the Aldi Logix powder, it 'might' be a smidge better in performance 'might', 'might', might'. lol
If you think the different coloured liquids in an all-in-one tablet/capsule are being dumped into your wash at various times during the wash you have seriously been mislead.
Try things out for yourself, buy a 'cheap' powder but dump a bit of it in the pre-wash compartment or directly on the door prior to switching your machine on - if you have residue on your dishes try cutting down the amount you are using.
**edit: All my testing above has been on the automatic setting with no other variations of the wash cycle changed.
**I have moderately hard water and use dishwasher salt with the dishwasher set at the appropriate setting.
** I use a variety of rinse aids with no perceivable difference - currently using Bunnings Exonic rinse-aid.Has anyone actually been able to find these in an Aldi other than OP? I went to 2 different ones and the staff know anything about these even after showing them the image.
Have seen them on sale at Orion Qld 4300.
Bought some today at the Firle (SA) store
I’ve only seen them in the regional areas of NSW such as Grafton, Bega etc
Did you have to get the cliff climbing equipment to get this special? You're nearly at the roof!
Costco Kirkland gang represent! Best dishwashing tablets to go with my Bosch. Arrived at this after years of trial and error.
Amazing the amount of comments on this every time!
Get these, better deal 100 @ $12.80
https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/184248Or just get the cheapest powder and you don't need much (Coles etc).
0.13cents each. Good price. How’s the performance though?
Good, seems fine. someone recommended them in another thread a while back.
The only problem is they don't really fit in the compartment of my drawer dishwasher (wondering if can rip in half as probably don't need much anyway!)
They’re on my list to try next. I’m currently using Aldi, but their whole shopping experience is frustrating to me. No self serve/always stuck behind someone with 100 items when I have 2-3. No way to check their stock online. CC fees. No rewards program.
@1989jdm: Yeah Aldi is my preferred but only good if you are near a store I guess. Colesworth only for 1/2 price specials and stuff Aldi doesn't have.
@G-rig: I’m near a Aldi, only been using them for washing powder/dishwashing tabs because of the points listed above. Looking to disconnect completely.
@1989jdm: Fair enough lol.
I'd rather boycott Coles and Woolies price gouging and ripping people off, like most Aussies.
Aldi is about 25% cheaper for the staples.@G-rig: As much as I’m on the anti Coles and Woolies profiteering train as the next person, I feel after taking advantage of their specials/and rewards programs, I’m ahead of Aldi in regards to weekly spends.
That and the quality of some products Aldi has IMHO isn’t as good.@1989jdm: Yeah, just get whatever - I don't think it's worth all the time and brainpower. Even the Coles powder (or similar) is fine for under $4.
The only problem is they don't really fit in the compartment of my drawer dishwasher (wondering if can rip in half as probably don't need much anyway!)
I break tablets (even the smaller ones) in half, but put the other half in the bottom of the dishwasher for the prewash cycle, so I still use one tablet per wash. These are bigger, though, so probably 1/2 of a tablet per wash would be enough.
@bio: That's a good idea. Yeah I was thinking half would be heaps for a half sized dishwasher, and rinse dishes (don't like having grubby stinking dishes with food stuck on them). So half would be enough.
I did research it briefly (not meant to throw the whole tablet in the main compartment as it will dissolve too quickly during the pre-wash).
@G-rig Yes, those Shine tablets are very good. I got my first ever dishwasher about a year ago and have never used anything else. Dishes clean, no residue.
Good feedback, that's great. I also think they are fine, cheap and don't need anything better.
I like the Shine powder from Woolworths.
Works fantastic. Advantage over powder is being able to pre-wash the dishes (1 teaspoon) and control the amount of powder- 1 teaspoon of powder for light loads. 2 teaspoons for normal loads.
Negative is that it’s made in China (and from Woolies).
Oh, scrap dishes but never pre-rinse dishes.
These tablets are great. Gives me very good results every time. I have tried Aldi's powder but in both dishwashers I tried it leaves a gooey residue around the filters are just a couple of washes.
Do these leave any smell behind? I really dislike the smell that Quantum/Fairy leave behind, and have been using Earth Choice.
I like the Fairy smell!
And….
Just realised that sounds very weird.
I'll let myself out.
These don't leave smell behind

Been using these for months. Highly recommend them. Better than paying $20+ for them at ColesWorth.
