    Good job

Don't know why people down voted you, it was a post well done!

      • +2

        Just the usual unhappy downvoters!

  • +1

Its been around $2550 hodl and then use discounted GC ontop

  • +9

Wait for Black Friday / Cyber Monday. This TV will likely get down to $2200-$2400. HODL

    • Any idea what a good price for a 77" C4 would be? Im holding out for ack Friday but not sure when I should jump for it.

      Currently on binglee it's $4k

      • I'm in the same situation as you. it might get down to $3600-3800 during black friday, but even $4k is a decent deal imo if you plan to use it for many years to come.

      • +1

I just bit the bullet and bought it for the 4k on binglee + 6% cash back. Old TV is 10 years old so hopefully this one keeps me going for another 10.

        • +1

          Definitely worth it. Nice

    • -1

      HODL?

  • +6

This is bang on current rebate price from the supplier. Bing Lee literally losing $$ on this deal..

  • +1

    It's an amazing tv

how much is a G4 55 inch ? if its similar price, i'd recommend g4 for mla tech.

    • Why do you say that?

    • Our eyes are yet to open.

    • -1

Having bought one of these 65s in a bundle deal, I thought long and hard about the G4, which side by side is clearly better: less reflective and brighter and yes, the MLA tech is a lot of reason for that. Brightness without the Samsung S90D (brighter than C4) over saturation that bothered me a bit but others are very happy with it.
I only went the C4 because I couldn’t stomach paying the price for the G4 and WebOs vs Tizen. But oh, wanted the G4.

PS very happy with the 65C4 and feel I made the right choice.

      • On a similar dilemma i bought the G4, it's the far better choice.
Not only you pay for the extra picture quality/brightness/etc but for the 5 year panel warranty.
A G4 65 is only like $800 more, absolutely worth it over the C4. No brainer, really.

        • -1

You get 5 years with consumer law warranty on any high end unit.

          77” C4 > 65” G4

          • -1

            @eccaz: 77" G4 > 77" C4

Good luck fighting for your warranty.

            • @nikoris: 77” Sony A95L QD-OLED > 77” G4

I didn’t have to argue/fight with LG Australia last November 2023 when I contacted them and put in a claim for a brand new replacement panel for my 2019 65” C9 OLED that was 4 years 3 months old at the time, due to hundreds of dead pixels developing around the edges of all 4 sides of the screen. They approved an all parts and labour repair without me having to mention my rights under ACL whatsoever, they replaced the panel, and the technicians discovered a second fault with the power supply board when running a diagnostic test while doing the panel repair, so they replaced the power supply board too, all at no cost to me. The whole process took just under 1 week.

          • @eccaz: Do you have a link for the source?

  • Wow nice. Price legit.
This or S90d? Both are woled panelled.

    • +2

S90D 65" is QD-OLED, WOLED is for smaller sizes. I would recommend S90C though, you can get them very reasonable (I got my 65" for $1852 delivered from the Samsung store) and the difference between them and the S90D is almost non existent.

I mainly picked it over a C4/G4 due to that price but the QD-OLED panels do get brighter and are supposedly less prone to burn in. The Tizen software sucks though, I find the webOS software on my old LG CX far better.

The included remote with the Samsung is horrendous as well, I replaced it with one of their old IR remotes from eBay.

      • +2

supposedly less prone to burn in

        https://www.rtings.com/tv/learn/longevity-investigations-upd…

That was the promise, yes. But unfortunately it didn’t pan out like that.

      • Where are you seeing 65" S90c's in stock? Have been eyeing it on the Samsung store but assume they aren't stocking anymore

        • I was just assuming since I only bought mine a couple of months ago but looks like only 55" is in stock now :(

      • How? :0 so cheap

    • +2

Samsung support and products are lower quality (on I can only speak to my experience). My C1 has been going strong for years, excellent TV. My TV before was Samsung, had to get 3 screen replacements all had issues ended up getting a refund.

      • Big sample size there.

  • Can it price match with JB Hi-Fi and combine with this deal?

Send them a message and let us know

  • Are oled screen at this price nowadays become ‘wowled’ or ‘woeled’? (in terms of significant value, longevity and minimal burn-in?)

I remember these oled were/ are in a ‘stay-away from’ zone for a long time now, but I’m now considering to purchase one if the concerns are no longer an issue, especially at this price….anyone experienced on this can advice?

    • +3

      minimal burn-in

This has not been an issue for more than half a decade. You won't have these issues with TVs these days, certainly not with LG. My LG CX basically plays the news 8 hours a day and there is no burn-in from the static news banners.

      • Yes , my B7 suffered from burn in however Lg replaced the screen when it was about two years out of warranty ( great service ) . Had it running now for about another 5 years works perfectly, still a fantastic picture. I purchased a c3 77 last year and has a fantastic picture.

        • Yes, the 7 series was kind of the last series that had problems, but that was released over 5 years ago?

          • @serpserpserp: Yes 7 years now. 2017. Has been perfect since the free screen replacement under LG good will I guess, as well out of warranty….To this day absolutely perfect picture.

    • +3

I hear that burn-in hasn't been a concern for at least 4 or 5 years now :) It was the very early models that were susceptible to it.

    • They were mostly 'stay away from' due to Samsung's massive marketing budget and them pushing the narrative that burn-in is a huge risk. Now that Samsung have their own OLEDs, well, they've strangely gone all quiet in this regard. The risk was only really bad with the first few generations anyway. Yes, people had burn-in, but it was nowhere near as wide spread as it was made out to be.

With varied content (EG, as long as you don't display the same static elements for 100s of hours of use, whether continual 24/7 use or broken up by nightly switching off the TV but you only play the same one game or watch the same one TV channel with logos displayed) you will be fine.

  • Fyi no stores in Brisbane but Meadowbrook has a distribution centre which acts as a store for delivery purposes

  • +1

    Doesn't ship to WA, sad.

  • +2

    Torn between c4 or g4

    • +2

I was struggling with this too. went G4 in the end , longer panel warranty, lower reflection, thinner wall mount.
But if those aren't as important, go C4. They are really similar and both great.

  • Do TGG, JB or HN price match on this, anyone know?

    • +1

HN wouldn't when I tried (vouchers to redeem):
"we are not able to price match this item due to it being below market value, apologies"

      • +5

Gerry’s goons are telling you porky pies. They’ve sold this TV for less than this before and will do again in months to come. Another reason to avoid Harvey Norman

    • +3

JB would, GG took some effort

    • +2

Update: GG did price match + free delivery + $250 store credit, which I will be using for sound bar in next 90 days anyways, so pretty happy with this deal. Thanks OP, I have been waiting a while for this.

  • Cmon black friday

  • +1

I’d suggest wait till Boxing Day, you might be able to get a G4 for the same price. I picked up the 65 G3 for $2888 last year.

  • Sorry a bit late to the party, but can confirm GG will price match Bing Lees.
I originally ordered a 77 G4 for $5756 from Bing Lee yesterday, but they were on backorder and expecting delivery mid October. Called up Good Guys this morning and they were happy to price match it along with free delivery ( arriving in just two days!)and $200 store credit. Cancelled my order with Bing Lee straight away.
Been eyeing it for a while now and this beats nearly all deals and sales I have seen for the 77 G4. Very happy I made the call to ask about price matching, was sceptical at first as they listed it for $7195.
Hope this helps anyone in the future trying to price match BL prices with GG. Sorry again I didn't see this post until this late…
