    Who from and what price?

  • Looks cheap and nasty, can anyone vouch?

I've had mine (the SL60 Plus - same robotic vac but with auto-empty dock) for the last 2 months and it's been working great for the most part. have had map issues maybe once or twice but I save my maps regularly so can always restore them. Bought mine to replace my S5Max which met its unfortunate fate to my dog's poop… wasn't worth trying to save. compared to the s5max I'd say it performs much better minus the minor issue of not being able to use google assistant commands to start cleaning specific rooms.

Got our combo last November. Generally I'm very happy with it, excepting the odd hiccup with a map distorting or a door being marked as closed for no good reason. Back up your maps.

One other issue last week when it dropped the wifi. I spent a couple of hours trying to get it to reconnect, Did the router resets, APP resets etc. No luck. It constantly complained the connection failed.

Eventually I gave up, switched the thing off, went to bed.

Next morning switched it on, pressed HOME + POWER to get the APP reset, it prompted me for the wifi credential and away it went.

        Go figure…

      • Yeah na, I have both and S5 Max can turbo up and down it's suction and does a generally better job than the SL60D. The SL also has issues sometimes backing up to make contact with the dock which the Roborock does not.

However, considering the difference in price points the SL is an absolute steal even with it's flaws. Can't argue with that.

        • I guess your experience has been different to mine. I find my floors feel cleaner with the SL60 than my S5Max, especially the wooden floors. The SL60 also has a "turbo" boost mode as well and I also find the suction to be more powerful than that of the SL60. This could however be attributed to the fact that it was nearing its EOL so what a way to go out than by being flooded by dog poop. Either way, I'm happy with the SL60 Plus as my replacement for now until I want to fork out more money for some more higher tech robo vacs.

@itsmehuey: Yeah definitely differing experiences. I know the SL60 has a turbo mode in the settings but it doesn't cycle up and down, like the Roborock does during a cleaning cycle (i.e. if it detects something hard to pick up).

As you say, we can agree that it's a very good deal for the SL60 compared to forking out heaps more money on newer Roborock or even other models

We've got 3 of these for each floor and they work great. We use both vac and mop functions and havent had any issues.

It's one of the favourites here on OzBargain. You just have to manage your expectations, if you compare it to a $2K robot, you won't get the same features, but for a basic robot with LIDAR it works well, especially when purchased at this price.

      • Can anyone vouch for the mopping/compatible docks? thanks for the info so far!

      • +2

It's a very affordable & reliable introduction for any one wanting to dip their toe in the robo-vac world.

We're exploring proper mopping optioned ones now. Next Black Friday, maybe…

Been using the SL60 Plus with the dock for 3 months. So far, so good. Absolute steal for the price so far.

    • I have it, it's great for the price

  • Ebay

~$219 on Amazon. IMO worth paying the extra $7 to get far better customer service if something goes wrong.

    Expires 9pm Today.

    • -5

I've had terrible customer service from Amazon when something goes wrong. Ebay on the other hand have always sided with me as the buyer.

      • +3

Not after the 60days for eBay, seller can just refuse warranty by on the other hand Amazon will honour at least 12 months warranty

        • -3

I had to contact fair trading to sort out Amazon. I haven't had to contact fair trading to sort out eBay

Dont buy this rubbish from ebay,Ebay suggest me to get charge back from my bank, which I spent hours and hours, the seller have no aftersale, till I called bank to chargeback but still cant work out, unless you 50/50 going to good side
If you really want to buy this rubbish make sure buy from amazon

    • What was the issue with the vacuum?

      • +1

Cant go back to dock auto,no charge even you put it back to dock, stop charge then back charge wake you up in the night, the robot run itself when stop charge, mapping can't mop the exist rooms"can't reach" etc, just too much

When in mop mode do they know when there’s carpet or rugs to avoid?

    • +4

No. The mop, such as it is, is fixed. For normal vacuuming it is removed.

Basically, with the mop pad in place it soaks the cloth and proceeds to drag its arse around, spreading the dirt effectively and evenly ;-)

    • It knows if you tell it certain rooms have carpet/rugs etc.

The issue is as sort of mentioned is the mop doesn't move, so it will drag around regardless, however it won't put water during this time.

    • Nope, either close the doors or try restricting it on floor map

  • It's okay. It has started being unable to find rooms unless I carry it away from its dock. Not sure why, nothing has changed. But it's good when it works

  • +1

Very happy with mine (2 months in) but only use it on hard floors for 3 x golden retriever's hair and don't bother with the mop function. I recommend purchasing the auto empty doc too when it is on special. Did a bit of a review here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/849275?page=1#comment

  • Good little machine for the price. Had it for a few months and it's been pretty solid besides minor app issues (restarting app solves most issues for me).

Remember to save a backup of your map in case it gets corrupted in the app (can happen occasionally).

Great bot, less than average app.

  • +1

Thanks OP, I bought the bot n dock from the same seller for $365.19 using the code.

Used Macquarie 3% eBay gift cards to save another $10.5

  • 1 side brush
    I prefer 2

    • +1

This is the SL60D, it has 2 brushes. Lubluelu have many models that resemble each other, so sometimes it's difficult to compare.

  • Thanks for sharing. The DL68 on sale for only $229 on Amazon and bought it. https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0CJR4Y6C2/ref=ppx_yo_d…

    • Is it better than 60d?

      • It seems a bit better than the 60 in terms of parameters, but I don't have a 60d to compare.
