Teach them not to touch the robot or it will electrocute them! Win win

    • Not to self: make sure to whoop kids.

    • +2

This is my first robot vacuum & love it. I don't even use the dyson anymore.

The issue with kids is the clothes & toys. As soon as it goes over a sock it will pause and alert you. The areas you choose will need to be clean before beginning otherwise there's a chance it will pause.

It's a great vacuum for the price.

  • Had one of these for a while now and it's been pretty good. Poor thing even got caught outside in the rain (door was open and it was on smart clean mode) and seems to still be working fine.

    • +3

(door was open and it was on smart clean mode)

May be it wants to do lawn mowing.

      • I have been looking for a pool cleaning robot, maybe it thought it would try and help me out.

      • …cue R.Kelly track

  • this robot always stuck between the legs of my office chair, every time!

    • +1

Maybe it was on sexy suction mode

  • I got one of these robots, its good, but it sucks at the final docking sequence. If my previous robot vacuum (dreame) was the equivalent of a nasa astronaut docking at the international space station, the Lubluelu is like a learner driver trying to reverse park in peak hour traffic.

    • Did you put the dock at the corner area? Make sure you have enough space around.

    • Contact customer support. Send video of it not docking and see if they send a new unit

      • It does dock, but it literally takes a whole minute or two of it reversing back and forward slowly until it lines up the charging ports perfectly. The dreame on the other hand did it in one go.

    • +1

I have the dock for mine sitting out of the way under an entertainment unit. Sometimes when docking, the robot vacuum stops about 50cm away from the dock and rotates in a circle more than 360 degrees before finally moving to the dock

Thanks OP, bought another one for the second level of the house, even cheaper than last time!

  • For existing owners, any recommendations on filter purchases?

All the Amazon ones seem to be packs of multiple parts that I don't need… https://www.amazon.com.au/JOYSOG-Accessories-Tikom-lubluelu-…

    Thanks!

    • +2

Should be plenty of options on Aliexpress for around $15 for 12 x filters. I have seen them.

  • I call mine Robby and he always gets tangled in the cables under the TV stand. I should make a cardboard barrier

    • +2

      Doesnt the virtual barrier work?

I have the roborock s8 max and always create virtual barriers

      • -1

no virtual barriers with this unit

        • +2

Virtual barriers is done thru the app, looks like your not using the right one?

      • I don't think mine has.. it's a $200 Mygenie from Spotlight. This model looks superior to Robby.

    • +2

Yeah cables are a Lubluelu's favourite snack to nom nom nom on

    • +1

I run all my TV PC cables through a pool noodle. It looks tidy and is easier to clean manually, not that I often do so..

  • Does anyone know how this one compares to the L20 which is also on sale in their ebay store?

    • +1

If you look on the L20 page on their website down the bottom there is a comparison table

      • I wanted the L20 mainly because of the roller brush I prefer than the bristles but I couldnt find a docking station for it.

        Docking Station is really handy.

        • I heard it sucks?

  • +2

Bought. Thanks OP. My $1000 Deebot has died after only 2 year. And that including twice sending it back for warranty repair. :’(

  • +3

When a post starts off with "all time low" and "ozbargain fav" I buy first and ask questions later.

  • +1

Okay FINE! I bought one! I look forward to naming and playing with it.

    • Surely you need the Ozb team to help you come up with a name for the little critter?

    • how about suckholio?

    • Paint it yellow green and call it Suckeroo

  • Regretting I jumped on this too early now can't even sell it any where what I paid for. Sucks

    • +2

you know its not a ride on vacuum?

      • i bought two can it function as a hoverboard ?

  • Bought one to see how it goes with LOTS of pet hair (3 golden retrievers) on hard floors only, not confident it will manage but at this price I can resell it with minimal loss…and better than paying $1000+ for a Deebot to potentially find the same issue.

If it is successful I will then buy the auto dustbin.

    • Any updates or photos of the Golden's?! We have one and the machine is doing alright.

      • received it yesterday, so far so good, seems to pick up the hair well but noticed some wound up in the roller which may be an issue, I don't really want to have to detangle the roller too often.

This is my first robot vac and quite impressed with the room mapping (apart from there seems to be no way to delete ghost rooms but you can edit areas and add 'walls' to prevent issues.)

I don't know how to upload photos sorry

        • +1

About 1 month in - Set it to go 2 x per day on hard floors only and empty collection bin once a day (I don't expect it to keep up with dog hair on the carpet - have a V8 that does a great job for that). Don't use the mop option as without the spinning head its more of a gimmick than anything else. I am very happy with it for the price. Will be looking out for an auto-dock deal down the track but may also upgrade the internal collection bin (I can get replacements without the internal water storage leaving more room for dog hair).

Only thing I need to worry about is untangling the hair off the roller about once a week but that's a pretty easy job.

I am impressed with the room mapping and option to add exclusion zones and electronic walls.

  • If their eBay store has stock wonder why their website shows everything as out of stock?

But will most likely get one for downstairs and see how it goes. Otherwise will replace the old original Xiaomi upstairs.

  • The SL60D in black is also available on Amazon for $215.58 post applying a 12% discount voucher.

Might be able to get higher Cashback from Top Cashback when compared to eBay.

  • Mine arrived today and I'm having a devil of a time setting it up. I've tried to add it multiple times using the automatic and manual setup but no luck

    • +2

You might need to have 2.4 ghz wifi switched on? Sometimes routers default to 5ghz, and so you need to throw on "smart mode" which forces the network to 2.4…

Just a thought, could be wrong

      • +1

Thanks, I made sure to try to connect to the 2.4ghz network.

I wonder if it's related to adding some new ZigBee devices in the last week?

Edit: it ended up being user error… I used the wrong wifi password… setup was successful using the slow connection method.

  • It now looks to be the same price to buy the bundle deal as it is to buy them separately (except you can't buy them separately anymore).

  • Thanks! Got the Lubluelu SL60 Plus combo for $351.74

  • +1

Got it delivered the day after I ordered and so far has been going great. My first robot vacuum and very impressed with it. It picked up a lot of hair from under the beds and the roller was tangled a couple of times and it asked to remove the roller and clean which took quite some time. Hoping I don't have to do this again since all those hidden areas got swept first time in years.

Just used the mop function and that is okay too. Honestly, don't have anything else to compare with. Also got the Dust collector delivered today and as per comments, it is very loud and runs for about 15-20 seconds.

    • I am happy with the vacuum so far. It cleans my small unit in about 30 minutes. I am running it in eco mode as that's a little quieter. I haven't used the mop function as that doesn't look to be very effective.

My cheap ecovacs robot vacuum bought a couple of years ago for around $100 from jbhifi via an ozbargain deal is now officially retired 😄

    This thing is brilliant.

It arrived today, and already it's beaten all my expectations. It was setup and app connected in about 5 minutes, during the first clean the lidar and mapping worked great. Editing mapping zones with virtual walls etc is pretty straightforward, and it's also now linked up to my Google assistant.

I've been waiting for a deal too good to refuse for my first robot vac with lidar - so far very happy I've made the jump. Picked it up for $201.75 with eBay Plus, and after threading the needle earlier this week with a ShopBack upsized cashback promo and two $10 cashback challenges, it should be another $30 or so back too (eventually).

    This is the way.

  • Can anyone please confirm whether this can be used without wifi / app control? Thanks

  • This or the L20 for $20 more?

    • I got the SL60D so I can upgrade to the auto dustbin later, not sure L20 has that feature?

  • Anyone notice it takes 3 hours to charge 60%

    • notice it takes 3 hours to charge 60%

Mine didn't, did you fully charged it before the first use? Or message the seller ask them.

    • Mine charges really quickly, less than an hour (from 20 or 30%). Sounds like you may have an issue. Check with their support channel through the app and allow them to see logs, they may be able to resolve it remotely.

    • Yep, mine takes about 4 hours to charge from flat (I haven't seen the exact percentage that triggers it going back to recharge). I think I'll reach out to them as @Samwise suggested

  • +3

Honestly i'm probably going to return mine, bought with the auto empty dock and it gets clogged 2-3 times every single cycle with dog hair ect so I end up over the rubbish bin anyway taking the rollers out and unclogging it. says good with dog hair… I guess 3 German Shepherds is too much

  • Very impressed with this robot vacuum, the mop + sweep function has my floor boards looking SLICK. Will see if I need to cop the auto empty dock down the line

  • eBay is really impressive,

ordered on the evening of 10th of June, tracking claims the item was "Sent" on 9th of June 😶🧐

    • I'm still waiting for mine. It's currently in SUNSHINE WEST, VIC heading to Brisbane. There has been six continuous days of no activity.

      • +1

when I ordered it suggested 3 day delivery 😀
        I dont think so 😄
ebay showed quite a few items sold, so I expect them to take a while.

  • Did anyone else buy this? I’m having a few issue. For starters when I fill the water tank up it just starts completely dripping out of the bottom/mop part, like there’s no control what so ever so while it’s on charge it just all leaks out.

Second, it won’t even dock itself it goes to the dock, just sits there spinning around, it’ll back up and be perfectly positioned and it doesn’t keep backing up to try dock, it just stop, then goes back forward and starts spinning around again.

    • Do you have the mop cloth added to the attachment when you fill it up? Just checking the obvious first.
Mine doesn't leak like that. The mop cloth gets wet, but not leaking uncontrollably.

I haven't got that issue when its trying to dock. Maybe it is the spot you have put the dock? Have you tried putting the dock somewhere else in the house?

      • Yeah the mop cloth is on hehe. I’m trying to find another spot to try it. Do you fill your water tank up every day?

        • I only mop like once a week. So usually have the mop attachment off. But when I do mop, I add the attachment and cloth, then I fill up with water. Once it is finished and recharged, I then take off the attachment.

          • @SueyJitSu: Thankyou! And it doesn’t affect the machine if you have an area set to mop as well as vacuum but the mop attachment isn’t on? There’s not much info in the manual haha. The app is a bit confusing, like it doesn’t explain what the ‘water level’ setting means

            • +1

@Arcayne: If the mop attachment isn't on, it will only vacuum. No issue there.
I have only 1 carpeted room, the rest is tiled. When the mop attachment is off, the robo vac just vacuums all rooms. When the mop attachment is on, the robo vac mops and vacuums all rooms except the carpeted one (because I set a 'no mop' zone in that one room).
I believe the water level setting is how much water is let into the mop attachment. I have mine set to low, which does a fine enough job for me.
If you enable the customized mode in the settings, then the individual water level and vacuum strength will be used when the robo vac goes to work.

              • +1

@SueyJitSu: Thankyou!!!!! When I set the restricted zone (mop forbid area) in the app the vacuum won't enter the room at all, so I've just set the mop to 'closed' for the room in the app but I don't think it's working properly.

  • I did have a strange thing happen while the vacuum was cleaning this afternoon: it added a phantom room to the map and lost wifi connection and just stopped moving. Thankfully it picked up wifi connection again and I added a saved map back as the default map and sent it back to recharge.
