yeah I wouldn't go by those reviews. Your better off just buying a keychron of the same price.

    • or better yet, a tecware for much cheaper :) they make great boards

    • something makes me feel off about keychron, … I'm not sure why

      • why wouldnt you buy Keychron?
They make amazing boards, maybe a bit on the higher priced side, but they are worth it IMO. I have a lemokey l3 and Q1 max. Only reason i got the lemokey was that i really didnt wanna be stuck with bluetooth connectivity and the Q1 max series wasnt out yet at the time. They are both very solid keyboards though and would definitely purchase again

if you wanted to you could buy every individual part and go full custom and build your own no brand board :D could defiantly do it for 100 bucks.

      • you must not have a Mac, but it works for both.
For most Mac users, keychron is there 1st choice for a custom mechanical keyboard.
I believe that is because they were the 1st custom mechanical keyboard available with all the mac key legends, and keypress layout. It was super annoying trying to use a custom keyboard built for PC, then use it for Macs when you couldn't change the keys.

      • They're decent value for what they offer imo, no real reason not to go them

They've been a staple in the budget custom world for the past few years for a reason.

I believe this is the keyboard that everyone uses as evidence when they call Epomaker a bad keyboard company/reseller.

Quite a few pcb failures, bad customer support, and the only thing you'll be glad of after purchasing this is likely to be Amazon's return policy.

  • Lots of hate from people who don't seem to own one. Got one of these exact ones myself last year and absolutely love it. Hardly a keyboard snob, but was a great upgrade over the old Razer Blackwidow I had.
Haven't had any faults, love the feel, using the gateron blacks (although doesn't look like they offer them anymore).

    • Had a TH80 myself, the wireless modes never worked. Software was meh too. Sound/feel was ok, a step up from your run-of-the-mill gaming mechs but nothing spectular

Build quality and overall value was ok but there's probably better options nowadays - I haven't kept an eye on the budget side of 'custom' mech boards for a while, but even something like the Monsgeek M1 or a Rainy/Bridge75 would be better imo.

  • Fondness of keyboards lol

  • I have 2 of these. One of them had a component on the PCB fail, cratering the PCB. The second had an issue with remaining charge and managing charge. Not sure if it was battery related or PCB related. As a result, one has been retired (the replacement PCB also failed), and the other one is serving as a backup to my Monsgeek M1. Buyer beware is all I can say.
