Godox 60x90cm Softbox with Grid and Bowens Mount – $45 Delivered @ Zenistudiosp eBay

210

This one is pretty specific, but it caught me by surprise.

I've been after a decent quality softbox since my Neewer one tore at the seams. This Godox 60x90cm one ranged from $90-130 everywhere I looked until I found it on a well-rated eBay store for $45.

I was suspicious so waited to post the deal until I'd received it and set it up. It arrived in only two days (free express post was a nice treat). Set up was more difficult than my usual octagonal box, but once it's put together it's great!

On the downside, two caps for the rods seem to be missing (but doesn't really affect performance), so I don't know for certain that this is legit Godox or not. But I'm very happy with the quality for the price.

Hope this helps some other shooters!

  • Are you actually using bowens studio lights? Or godox with Bowen mounts? I haven’t touched my bowens Gemini 400 kit for legit 12 years+…

    • I’m just using it on a Godox SL60W continuous LED. I’m a DOP so it’s just for video.

I did see that it’s for studio flash but honestly couldn’t see a difference to a standard soft box. Do you know of anything that this would do/not do compared to say a soft box for a video light?

  • Was waiting for this

    • Vladimir, Estragon
  • Nice, and shows up as $40 with eBay plus

    • +1

Oh, even better! Nice one :)

  • from my own opinion, only good if you rarely re-set up, as to insert the rod into the adapter plate is taking a bit hard, and consume time.
not portable, unless you have bigh space in the car, if you want to use this and shoot on site professionaly..

    • Agreed on that. I’ll get another big octa soon, so much quicker to set up. I needed something more square and slim for some small room interviews and I’m quite happy with the result, even if the process is a bit of a pain lol

  • I have the 30 x 150, setup was difficult but tearing it down is impossible. The rods just weld inside the sockets lol

    • 😆

  • Wonder if these would make decent reflectors//shrouds for grow lights.

  • Ordered QR-P70T from them on Friday, and received on Monday

    • I think that'll be my next one. The rectangular is a bit slow to set up for my liking. Did you get a good deal on the parabolic, or did you go full price?
