So, good for washing car?
Can I use this as is with Meguiar's Megafoam Snow Cannon Kit?
Thinking of getting this (or maybe the $99 Ozito) mainly to wash my car and our patio…
K3 might be too strong for a car (will wreck the paint). K1 or k2 might be better
No, you don’t use 0 degree to wash the car. 15 degree and foam cannon are totally fine
Probably safer to go 25 esp if you are going to blast into window seal edges ect but it depends on how powerful the washer is I guess most home washers 15 degrees is plenty of safety margin.
This one?
Karcher K2 1750 PSI Universal Pressure Washer
Do i need to get an adaptor or something to get it to work with the Meguiar Snow Cannon Kit?
This is the one I have: https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/karcher-k%C3%A4rcher-k2-…
Not sure if that foam cannon will fit. Read the description of the foam cannon and it will say if it will work with Karcher water pressure machines. But honestly you can buy a cheapo $10 one off aliepress/ebay and it will work too (as long as its compatible with karcher water pressure machines)
Check that the Meguiar's cannon comes with the Karcher adaptor. The Bowden's does, autoglym does.
I have a few in shed from foam cannons that had Karcher adaptor supplied
Aldi has a pressure washer in store atm for $149 that might be worth a look, you can even take it home and give it a try and if it isn’t good just return it, I’m in the same boat as you I just bought a new car so I’m looking for both a foam cannon and pressure washer so please share your experiences so I can save some effort lol
I’ve been tempted by cheap cannons and washers but luckily I thought better of it. Temu & AliExpress don’t seem love the most reputable retailers after all.
Thanks - ordered.
what's wrong with Ozito's Pressure Washer? isn't that 2400psi with under $100?
From memory of an ozb commenter, it uses too low L/minute
I got Ozito recently… it’s OK but would be nice with just a little more flowrate… need to make the beam so small feel like I’m using a toothbrush to clean…
really? I feel the stream was pretty powerful, I was worrying any stronger the paint will come off.
i was cleaning a pretty grotty unfinished deck / fence…. needed max power… did the job though… worth it… YMMV
Flow rate is the volume of water, pressure indicates the force with which the water hits the surface. High flow rate cleaners kick small pressure cleaners but even with lower pressure.
In my own experience, I recently bought the Ozito a couple weeks back and it no longer works after two uses. This is the second Ozito product I've been burned on, but bit the bullet because the price was good and reviews seemed promising. Took it back and bought the Ryobi which I'm yet to try, but it's also three times the price, so fingers crossed! All my other Ryobi purchases haven't ever been faulty, so here's hoping.
Well, if you could return it, you didn't really get burnt 😄 mine seems ok so far, four uses and still going ok, just the guns are a bit hard to interchange for me.
aldi's got one for $149 soon, not sure how good though.
Bought it today, Very happy with it. Its bargain for $149
Thinking of buying the aldi one for general house stuff. Would it be fine for carwashing? Comes with foam cannon so i thought itll be good.
want to know this too. for car ok/not
and which one is it by the way at aldi?
Any cheap pressure washer is fine for your car because you don’t need much ‘force’. 1500psi is the max and many say around 1000psi is better/all you need. You still need to hand wash / ‘scrub’ if the dirt is bad or baked on, you can’t blast it off.
Same for windows and decks etc. it’s only on hard surfaces like pavers or driveways that you need anything more.
Do you happen to know if it you can get a hose adaptor to put a standard pressure washer hose on them?
Do a decent google search I got an adaptor to interchange Ryobi and Karcher hoses on my Ryobi. It screws onto the base hose outlet. I think this might be the place.

Isn't "Ozito 2000W 2320PSI High Pressure Washer HPW-2320K" for $149 better value?
Specs look meatier on the Ozito. How would it fare cleaning pavers?
I have one and compared to my old Karcher, it just doesn't clean as well. I have to do multiple passes, where as with the Karcher coupled with a AliExpress nozzle was amazing
Which nozzle? I got a nozzle from Amazon for mine and it doesn't cut it compared to the original gun
Also keen to know about this Ali nozzle
I wrote big reply with a link but it was spammed
Search AliExpress for Karcher Jet Nozzle (has the horizontal metal piece in front). My one was "bear force" Turbo nozzle is not the right one.
Much appreciated
Are these any good?
A lot of poor reviews on the non-Onepass listings. From those reviews and previous deals the main complaints are around everything being plastic and breaking.
Lol looks like a yellow Ozito from the pic
I would purchase one with a hose reel which makes storage much more easier, for example like this one. I rate Gerni higher than a Karcher just because of the thin and cheap plastic that Karcher's are built with nowadays.
I got one of these a few years back and it was a dud. Failed after a year. Too much plastic internals. Got a refund from Bunnings. They get a water leak.
I've owned one for a few years, decent things, flow rate beats the Ozito equivalent, definitely not trade grade, too much plastic.
Are you sure yours was the K3? I see a few comments about the ozito having low flow rate but K3 spec sheet says 6.3L/min and Ozito says 8L/min for the $150 model, which is also more than the current aldi one at 7.5L/min
My mistake, I have the K3+
Bubbungs has priced matched?
Gerni 3600 for $199 (5 year warranty when you register) works nicely.
I think it's time to upgrade. I've had my K1 for 12+ years, and it's still running, but the paint on the plastic has worn off.:) Mainly use for car washing.. but if I change to Gerni, do you think accessories going to be useless? for K1 I have form spray bottle, bend fang and under car wash..
had karcher before and it broke down on the connector as it was plastic. So was looking for a metal connector
Does anyone have experience with the ALDI (Ferrex) Pressure washer? https://www.aldi.com.au/special-buys/special-buys-sat-21-sep…
I have Aldi Pressure washer and bought probably 3-4 years ago. It still working good and no issue with that. I hope this helps you to decide.
thanks for that.
Do you have the 2000w one currently on sale? Thinking of buying one for carwashing because it comes with the detergent attachment. Does it foam well with it? Thanks!
bought one today and already used. Foams alright, but I don't have much experience with them. Produced a thick foam that sticks to the surface.
@srr: Thanks for feedback, bought one today too and was hoping it makes good foam.
@srr: Just gave a try and failed to get foam…. what detergent did you use? Or is there a setting in the washer for adjustments?
@bleatz: I had a bottle of Aldi Outdoor cleaner and used it. It’s a two litre bottle with a hose sprayer cap.
I have the old model and it comes with the detergent attachment. But never use it, only use for washing car and driveway.
can I use that sucker on the bathroom tiles or will it destroy the grout?
You can but if I were you, I won’t use it for the bathroom tiles
@saiya78: Yeah I thought it might be a bit strong for that…
Did you read the other comments posted before yours?
I think we now the answer to that. ( Their mother still dresses them, too)
I’m on my second k3 in 6 years, the plastic pumps do go in them, they are ok for light stuff.
It takes 1-2 minutes to thoroughly clean one fence panel where as my petrol pressure washer takes 15 - 30 seconds
This is the most perfectly timed deal ever for me, thanks @wei13 !!
My parents Karcher literally died yesterday, and was able to price match at Super Cheap Auto with 7% gift cards, because I saw your deal - Total: $166!
Thanks again :)
Out of stock. The k2 is $95 at the moment. Has 1 nozzle.
Karchers ( and probs most cheap PWs??) have a habit of cracking the cylinder? housing.(after a few years. Don't know about Karcher, but Chinese plastic is crystalline and brittle compared to decent quality stuff. Much like their steel is inferior crap.Even their SS rusts. Also found Karcher.au support to be shite.
Any tips on where to get a surface cleaner attachment without spending the same again? Thanks.
Bunnings have the Ozito one to match Aldi, and that one seems to have decent reviews on Ozbargain.
This is the one I'm talking about -> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/837976
I've ordered that with free OnePass delivery, with the intention of mainly using for car wash with the foam sprayer.
The picture shows that this can be used for rinsing soap off the car.
