860

Offer #1: Only 12 cents after cashback for the $12 SIM. TopCashback has a $11.88 cashback on Boost 70GB 28 Day Prepaid SIM card that is discounted by Boost to $12 (excludes eSIM). Pay $12, get $11.88 cashback. No promo code needed.

Offer #2: Only 312 cents after cashback for the $15 SIM. TopCashback has a $11.88 cashback on Boost 90GB 28 Day Prepaid SIM card that is discounted by Boost to $15 (excludes eSIM). Pay $15, get $11.88 cashback. No promo code needed.

Please note the new T&C from Telstra/Boost for cashback: SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase, and must not be deactivated until your cashback is payable. If the SIM is deactivated prior, Boost may decline cashback.

- Please note that letting the number expire and not recharging is eligible for cashback.

- Please don't deactivate or port away until you receive the cashback. Deactivate means requesting Boost to remove the number.

From Boost: If your phone isn’t recharged for a period of 6 months it will be deemed inactive and you will lose your number.

Can confirm that this Boost/TopCashback offer does track.

What will stop me getting my cashback:

  • SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase, and must not be deactivated until your cashback is payable. If the SIM is deactivated prior, Boost may decline cashback.
  • Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. If there is more than one SIM in an order, it will result in an untracked purchase and the purchase will be ineligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on eSIMs, recharges, phones, bundles, accessories.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchase of gift cards and/or use of gift cards for payment.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential:

  • Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.
  • Always return to TopCashback and click through via the pink cashback button to the retailer's website for each new transaction. Ensure the TopCashback link is the last one used to visit the retailer's website prior to completing your purchase.

Good to know:

  • Ensure you disable plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole & VPNs prior to clicking/tapping from TopCashback as they will prevent your order from tracking.
  • If you cancel / return / exchange / modify your completed order, it will no longer be eligible for cashback and will be declined in your account.

What to do and when:

  • Missing cashback claims must be lodged within 90 days of purchase.

Boost Notes:

70GB on activation for new customers. 25GB on next recharge. Activate by 21 October 2024.
90GB on activation for new customers. 35GB on next recharge. Activate by 21 October 2024.
Sale ends 7 October 2024. Next recharge $45.

Hey guys. Testing another promo. Anyone that buys a SIM from this deal up to 10:30am AEST tomorrow (Sunday) will have their cashback randomly topped up by $0.15, $0.20, or $0.25. Accounts will be updated by noon Sunday. This is funded by TCB (not Boost). It’s not much, but just a small token of our appreciation for your support. Have a great weekend everyone 👍

Hi TA, I can't place the sim. any idea why?

Sorry, we are unable process your order. Please try again later.

Why are you asking Coles a Woolworths type question?

      • Same with me, Sunday evening.

    • thanks, that pushed me over the line, just purchased

    • Evacuate the children

    • +1

@tightarse Thanks TA. You too. I missed out the last time and hope to get the AEST right for the random bonus 🤣

    • Thanks TA, got the full $0.25 extra on my purchase

    • Got 25¢ extra, thanks TA.

    • Doesn't seem that way:
      - Please note that letting the number expire and not recharging is eligible for cashback.

      • well spotted, my mistake

  • From Boost: If your phone isn’t recharged for a period of 6 months it will be deemed inactive and you will lose your number.

so this means you get the cashback in 7 months? pass

    • It's just a general statement that your number will be deactivated if there's no active recharge for 6 months (which I believe is the same with all telcos), it has nothing to do with the cashback

      • -8

i read the post, and it says we can’t deactivate it. So it basically implies this?

        • @Quarter Pounder Just need to wait till the cashback is paid (about 2-3 months) before you deactivate or port out. The SIM will naturally expire after 6 months if you don't do anything. (P.S. I didn't neg you)

SIM must not be deactivated until your cashback is payable.

    HOLD for Breakeven….

    • Now is the right time for profit :-)
Only for purchase until before 10.30 am this Sunday will get additional cashback of $0.15, or $0.20, or $0.25

      • +1

Gosh, woke up and fed the kids. Now I missed the profit. Bummer~:(

  • So now the only way to churn month-to-month with these cashbacks is to get a new number?

    • +5

I have an esim with my main number on an annual plan. I get these physical sims for free (almost free extra data). You can set your phone to use the main number for voice and the other sim for data only.

      • +3

        dual sim is the way

      • +1

        This is the way

        • This is some big brain OzBargain thinking. Does it work well day-to-day? What about someone who FaceTimes you on your main number? Or iMessage? Do they just go through your physical (data) SIM?

          • @SirFrankGrimes: Sorry I can't speak for iPhones as I have a Samsung phone.
But it works flawlessly for me, all calls and SMS get routed via my main number and anything that uses data goes through the Boost data sim.
I'm currently using the Catch Connect annual plan for my main number that was previously on discount for $89.

          • @SirFrankGrimes: On iPhone, select your main Sim for calls and texts. Use the boost Sim as mobile data only.

For iMessage and FaceTime, when it prompts, don't associate the boost number with the iMessage account and everything will work the same.

Also when you make calls/text others it will ask if you want to use Primary or Boost before you call

      • Which annual plan are you on? Am looking for a similar cheap option

        • I am with boost which isn’t the cheapest unfortunately. Have no choice but to be on telstra service. If you don’t mind vodafone reception where you are, then you should be able to find cheap ones like catch, kogan etc.

        • Depending on network preference and how much you actually use the phone part of your phone, the 365 day Amaysim $10 PAYG esim with a boost data sim is a pretty hard combination to beat.

Just make sure you turn off data on that sim (on an iPhone, when you select your data sim, there's an "Allow Cellular Data Switching" toggle that you'll want to disable), and use data backed services whenever you can, such as iMessage instead of sms, and FaceTime Audio instead of a phone call (both of which function pretty much identically to the cellular version).

You can set it to autotop up with PAYG credit to ensure you always have some available for the occasional regular phone call, but if you're making a lot of calls there's probably better options out there.

          • @SirCrumpet: $10 Amaysim yearly and second rotating sim for data is what I do. Can receive calls and SMS on main number, if I need to call/text anyone I just do it from the rotating sim. I use WhatsApp quite a bit.

Sorry, we are unable process your order. Please try again later.

  • Bought this last week for $11 cashback.

    • I bought it on 31 August and activated recently few days ago. I bought it again today for use next month. Activate it before 30 days of purchase.

  • +1

Been hoping for an Amaysim deal ( much better download speeds with them)
    This will have to suffice

  • TCB is quite reliable because of tightarse service.

  • Unable to process order

    • welcome to boost's jail! :-)

      • How do they block you? Is it the cashback account?

        • I don't know. It's their stupid system that blocked you.😁

          • @mmcs: You seem overly excited whenever someone joins you in your windowless cell. 🙄

  • +2

As I am a "Sim slutter", these deals are not good for me anymore. If I port over to another telco before monthly prepaid cycle, I risk my cashback will not be approved.

    • +2

Sim slutter should use this as a second number, not main number. Main number can be on PAYG or yearly plan only for example.

I use this kind of monthly sim card for data and to get other freebies ;-)

My phone is a dual sim card phone. Anyone can use their old phone too.

      • I tried that. It's good for receiving calls and text messages but the PAYG rates are high and using the 2nd SIM included calls & texts messed with my contacts who didn't expect to receive my calls and texts from different numbers constantly changing over time so I want back to porting my number every time and that's been working better/well. It's a pity that this deal can't be used exactly the same way.

        • Buy Yearly plan then for main number. Unlimited call/sms, only smaller data. Either yearly plan from Catchconnect, Vodafone when half price, or Optus with $100 cashback from Cashrewards (promo until today!).

  • +2

Thanks @AkuroPlays for posting this offer 😄

  • How long's the cashback approval?

    • In my experience, 2-3 months after purchase/activation.

  • any good current referrals to join TCB apart from the default tenner that is given to the referee?

  • +1

TCB has been pretty inconsistent for me, my last two Everyday Market deals did not track even though I followed all the usual best practices (ordered via TCB app, no promo codes or gift cards, no adblocker, etc). Submitted two missing cashback claims and am still waiting, with an estimated wait time of 3 months. This is for about $100 of cashback in total. Not going to jump on any more 30+% cashback Everyday Market deals until I get some kind of resolution.

FWIW, anything smaller than $5 seems to track okay. I've got a bunch of small Amazon purchases that have tracked fine via TCB.

    • Tracked instantly for me.

But last Saturday's AE 10% upsized cashback, only 1 of 3 affiliated items tracked. About to submit a ticket actually.

    • +1

I've seen several people mentioning Everyday Market failures with Shopback as well.

  • Purchased the $12 sim card and tracked in 5 minutes :) Got the confirmation email.

I always use Chrome mobile browser in my android phone for cashback transactions. First, disable any Adblocker app (Adguard, NextDNS, etc. if you use any). Then clear the "Browsing data" "all time" in Chrome mobile browser. In the Settings, Privacy and security, Clear browsing data, All time for Time range:
    ✓ Cookies and site data
    ✓ Cached images and files
    ✓ Site settings.
    Then tap "Clear data"

    Back to Privacy settings, ensure
✓ Third party cookies are allowed
✓ Send a "Do not track" request OFF

Then login TopCashback in the Chrome mobile browser and proceed to Boost website to purchase the sim card. Done :)

So far, never fail with TopCashback and Cashrewards trackings through Chrome mobile browser in my android phone only.

  • Requiring sim to be active is relatively new, I note some of the my sims in the past have been deactivated at around the 3 months mark if left unused for a while, although they generally still show in the Boost account. YMMV - may need to use the sim (by having it on, i.e. network standby, in a phone) to keep it active, if possible.

  • I impulse purchased this, but perhaps should have thought about it for a minute. My intention for purchasing it was to temporarily port my number away from Telstra in anticipation for a future JB Hi-Fi deal. However, will this work since Boost is a Telstra MVNO? Should I have opted for an Optus MVNO instead? I'd like to upgrade my Apple iPhone 12 Mini to an Apple iPhone 16 Pro (or Pro Max), and whilst I was planning to simply purchase the phone outright and move from a post-paid to pre-paid plan, it seems that if I want to continue using the cellular capability on my Apple Watch Series 8, I'll need to be on a post-paid plan through Optus, Telstra, or Vodafone, so might as well sign another contract. Disappointingly, not much has changed in this space within the last couple of years.

    • You need opted out for optus networks. boost not gonna work

      • Thanks for that. I believe I have an unused Amaysim somewhere, so hopefully that can be temporarily activated instead. Doesn't look like the Boost order has been tracked by TopCashback, so that's a bit of a bummer.

  • Purchased 3 sims before boost said something went wrong. So far 0 have tracked.

    • "Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. If there is more than one SIM in an order, it will result in an untracked purchase and the purchase will be ineligible for cashback."

      • Yes. Thank you. This isn't my first time :) Just the first time not tracking.

        • all good. eventually tracked.

  • Am I considered as a new customer and still get cashback if I get a new number from boost?

Currently have one but wanted to buy a new one with new phone number. Is it okay?

    • +1

Yes, it's okay. I bought this on August 31. Then I bought it again yesterday. All new numbers.

  • +1

No cashback if you port out after 28 days is a no deal for me as no way I wjll recharge my only number for $35 or whatever for the second and maybe third month.

    • You don't need to recharge, use for 28days then forget about it.

      • -1

If you keep your number you need to recharge to ensure you get the cashback unless it is paid fairly quickly. Not like it had been for Boost, Lebara, Kogan in the past.

        • Huh, where do you get that from?

          • @HopSkipJumpFallSplat: In the post details. Surprised me “ Please note the new T&C from Telstra/Boost for cashback: SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase, and must not be deactivated until your cashback is payable. If the SIM is deactivated prior, Boost may decline cashback.”.

    • Better use this deal as a second number in a dual sim phone or in a second old phone. Main number with PAYG or yearly plan. Use this kind of deal for more data, as a backup (especially different network between Vodafone/Optus/Telstra), for other discounts and freebies.

Hey guys. Quick update from our short promo here & here. All eligible transactions are now updated. Test was a success, and thanks for your support - may do more of these going forward. Have a great Sunday😊

    • Got additional $0.25 :)
Please check PM about my question. Thank you.

    • Legend!

      • Ta TA! 25c gang 💪🤩

  • So you can get multiple cashbacks if I place multiple orders of the $12 one?

    • +1

Yes but you may run into putting yourself into Boost jail

  • Can you use this in a Telstra Gen 2 modem for 4g only? I’ve been using it in an old cellular iPad and wanting to test out a more 24/7 service.

  • Mine kept getting declined. Any reason to avoid this?

    • Your cashback? Or your payment to Boost Mobile?

      • my payment to Boost kept getting declined. Done it with phone app, and PC browser with VPN off.

          Message appear:

"Sorry, we are unable process your order. Please try again later."

          • +1

@durianbiscuit: Blacklisted, try different email, manaully add address and force a typo in address that Austpost can recognise, eg Badger Ck Road becomes Baddger Ck Road.

            • @HopSkipJumpFallSplat: Thank you, this worked. Took a couple of goes to get through the automated address checking process, but then I realised there's an option to type your address in manually down at the bottom.

              • @BronzingStubble: Which browser you used? Mobile or pc? Having same issue tried different details devices but no luck

                • @Modesty: Other details sometimes need changing, I often typo or complete fake name, bogus ph number, and different payment cards, I've been blacklisted and all it did was slow me down, always get my orders through.

  • Made 3 separate orders making sure I click from topcashback website for every single separate transaction and only the first one tracked T__T

Crossing my fingers the other two show up.

    • Update: All have showed up now!

  • My cashback has tracked and in the confirmed status, but I will need to port away before being paid so risk not receiving it. I will do the esim next time. Thanks @TA

    • These cashback deals does not apply to eSIMs

Cashback is ineligible on eSIMs, recharges, phones, bundles, accessories.

      • I meant i will do the 2nd sim way in future not my main one

  • Down to $9 for the $12 sim now
