    Spec?

  • +3

Mate. You gotta stop posting sub par "deals".

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/866988

Why would you when the ThinkPad is much better and cheaper.

  • Maybe this is intel 14th gen? Cant find the details just i5

    • I once looked at their product before they start posting here. No detail spec on their site didn't respond to queries.

  • Damn a specless laptop deal. No details on the site either

  • Cheaper buying the Lenovo deal that TA posted

  • specs here: https://hub.triforce.com.au/product/hp-probook-450-15-6-inch…

    it's the stock standard ProBook 450 G10

    i5-1334U CPU
    16gb ram
250nit 45% NTSC full HD panel

technically ProBook 450 would be a bit of a step up in build quality from ThinkPad E but not THAT much and I would actually go Lenovo as they have more comfy keyboards

not a remarkable deal, it's not a lot cheaper than elsewhere

    • What’s a bargain price? Open to suggestions!

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/842010

Let's start from here. $300 cheaper and still not considered a deal. So, for this Intel chip $700 or below is about right.

Updated link with details, clearly the wrong market for any premium products. Will save the posts for dead drop clearance stock only!!

    • +1

premium products ? mate, you're selling HP laptops?

      • -3

Well if you’re caulking at the price of a 450… imagine we posted a 840 or a ZBook? There is undoubtably value in the HP warranty & post purchase support, but this is clearly not the market for it.

        • +1

$4k laptop deals get posted here but your little 450 just isn't worth $1,104.15(even with the bag, keyboard and mouse), good luck for next time !

        • +1

          "840 or a ZBook"

Elitebook and zbook are virtually the same. They are also cheap (contrary to what people believe).

          I have picked up a 845 7840u with 32GB a few months back $1.4k delivered.

Problem is, it can be the same hardware, a new HP SKU means it's a new "model". The "clearance" price is where they should be at.

Having owned various thinkpads, and now the Elitebook, ThinkPad T is superior in build quality by a big margin. Problem was that when I bought, all T serious rams were soldered.

Elitebook book is not "premium" even less so. Though, they are better build and with better heat management. As well ease for corporate deployment on the pro CPUs.

This marketing spin might work for ones got nfi about what they are buying. Anyone with bit of understand or have pulled the notebook apart won't think these are that premium, particularly the inferior 250nits display dumped in the local market.

'250nit 45% NTSC full HD panel' so premium !

    • +1

If by "premium products" you mean paying more for the same components without additional value, then yes, this is the wrong site for that.

You say there is undoubtably value in the HP warranty; have you got evidence for that? I have nothing that indicates to me that HP warranty is worth anything more than any other brand's warranty. Even if you can prove their service is better, is it worth $400 more than a company like Lenovo (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/866988)? I personally wouldn't value it as such. By the time there's a failure outside warranty, the laptop won't even be worth $400.

Worth noting that there are multiple reasons for negs; to begin with you didn't have any specs about what you were asking $1,100 for. Secondly, if you want to make claims your product is worth the premium, you've got to back that up with something more than "HP is good, you guys just don't appreciate it". And while I'm at it, insulting your audience is never going to be a popular approach on OzBargain.

  • As a buyer from Hub by triforce, i will say it was an awesome experience.
Only advice is, for my demo unit.. remove the sticker advertising of the company it was being tested, and wipe windows :)

    • Def a concern in terms of data security. I guess that's why it's awesome?

Thanks negative Nelly, was wondering where you had disappeared!

        • +1

Here’s another neg for you for the excellent customer treatment!

    • The demo units come directly from the supplier we purchased the units from - agreed, it should definitely be wiped, but we don’t always open the boxes! Sorry!
