  • Trying to figure out what it is.
Is it a sleeping bag or something you put inside a sleeping bag

    • inside, will keep you warmer than just sleeping in the sleeping bag.

She's sleeping without a top in the photo so it must be warm

These are also good for sleeping in hot conditions where a sleeping bag would be too hot and the existing bedding is questionable.

  • +4

They're also good as they keep your sleeping bag a little cleaner and are much easier to wash, as well as feeling nicer than the synthetic liner most bags have.

Silk and cotton is lighter, but does it keep you warmer too? Going to TAS in Jan and weather can be unpredictable.

I’ve already own one from a competitor’s brand. Signed in to Upvoted anyways because hiking camping related post 👍

Go with silk if for backpacking hiking purpose: It’s lighter, warmer, packs smaller and dries much faster. Doubles as a warm scarf at camp, emergency splint sling, pot cozy, etc

    • Prefect, just what i needed to know, thank you! Ordered 2

Go with 100% silk instead of a blend if weight and packability is of utmost importance for your use case.

Otherwise this is still a good choice from a reputable company with good warranty.

    • What's the competitor brand?

These are great! Great for overnight hikes or long duration hikes (very light and compact)

It in a way keeps your sleeping bag cleaner when you put it inside for extra warmth :).

Best use for this: if you hate squirming around feeling like your sleeping on gladwrap when you move one centimetre, this helps prevent that noise.
