  • Scanned everyday rewards and mytoyota redemption and only 10c fuel discount…
Is the stacking with everyday rewards only for nrma?

    • It is honestly a bit of a mess, because it is not entirely clear what the actual position is on stacking the Woolworths fuel discount with the myToyota discount.

      • The general terms and conditions for the myToyota discount says: Offer is not available in conjunction with any other offers or fuel discounts unless specifically stated, and I cannot find anything on that page that specifically states that the Woolworths fuel discount can be stacked with the myToyota discount. The terms and conditions for this boosted discount offer also states a similar clause.

      • Over a year ago, the official position from Ampol was that stacking was not officially allowed, but that was before the revamped My NRMA deal was launched.

      • There have been a few reports in this deal of stacking being possible.

A couple of questions for you though:

      • Were you at an Ampol Foodary service station that advertised that it accepts the Woolworths fuel discount? Only about 37% of Ampol Foodary service stations accept it, and the easiest way to see whether an Ampol Foodary service station accepts it is by checking the Ampol store locator (and if you use this link, I have already set the filter to only show the Ampol service stations accepting the Woolworths fuel discount).1 Such service stations will also have a sign on or near the price board saying that you can save 4c/L (or 6c/L in TAS) with an Everyday Rewards card. On the other hand, all Ampol Foodary service stations on mainland Australia (and the Ampol in Exmouth, WA) accept Everyday Rewards, which means you can earn points on nearly all purchases.

      • If you were at an Ampol Foodary service station on mainland Australia that accepts the Woolworths fuel discount, did you have a fuel voucher stored on your Everyday Rewards account? If not, you will not have the Woolworths fuel discount applied to your account (unless you also presented a paper Woolworths fuel voucher in the same transaction).

If the answer is yes to both questions, it sounds like the Ampol Foodary service station you went to had their checkouts programmed to remove the first discount presented (in your case, the Woolworths fuel discount).

      1. The Ampol store locator does not show whether an EG Ampol service station accepts the Woolworths fuel discount, so all the results you see when using this filter is only for Ampol Foodary.

Thanks for clarifying this and I tried to use your search link and the station not appearing on the map. Seems like they do accept everyday rewards for points but not for wollie fuel discount.
I also have nrma, I am not sure will that same station Ampol Foodary Kwinana won’t accept wollie fuel discount if I also use nrma?

        • If you remove the Woolworths fuel discounts filter I set on that link to that store locator, Ampol Foodary Kwinana will appear, and it will show that it does not accept the Woolworths fuel discount. I also had a look at Google Maps, and the price board does not have the sign to say that the Woolworths fuel discount is accepted. That means if you go back to that Ampol Foodary and scan both your Everyday Rewards card and your My NRMA discount, you will still not have the Woolworths fuel discount applied to your transaction.

However, if you go to the Ampol Foodary in Rockingham (for example), that service station accepts the Woolworths fuel discount (and you can see the sign on the price board advertising the Woolworths fuel discount). That means you can attempt to stack the Woolworths fuel discount with the myToyota discount there, or stack the Woolworths fuel discount with the My NRMA discount there.

@WookieMonster: Great thanks for the explanation and now I just need to watch out where to fill in my ampol fuel and using the location like no you provided if I want to stack the fuel discounts.

            Appreciate for your time :)

Have been to a few Ampol Foodarys in the northern suburbs of Adelaide and the one in Nth Adelaide and the 10c discounts have been working fine with the EDR card also accepted for the points. Only the specific Ampol Foodary which accepts EDR 4c will stack to get 14c/L off altogether. Thankfully, they are only 2-3c/L more expensive than the cheapest surrounding petrol stations.

Also visited different stores for the free coffee. The barista one tastes better to me as it isn't bitter but I don't like real bitter coffee anyway. I don't mind the self-serve ones either.

how do you get a free coffee? is there a barcode to scan? the several stores I went to say they don't know anything about free coffees.

It says free regular coffee above and below the QR code.

  • Wtf this ended already, just checked while pumping lol

    • It should end by the end of today AEST midnight?

Well if it’s ended now then they pulled it early, aint cool. Was gonna stock up today zzz

      • I m not sure if it still comes up as 10c, because when she scanned, she asked me for my phone to check the app, then I showed her the Ozbargain post and she did 10c off and added in a coffee lol

    • Yea same here checked my app back to 4c now was gonna pump later today

    • Yup showing as 4c in the app now, even though T&Cs say ends 11.59pm aest today. Boo

No more free crap coffee. Yay!

  • Thanks for this OP. Enjoyed at least 10 coffees over the time, thankfully our local ampol was reasonably competitive for the duration of the deal.

Tried a hot chocolate, never again, weak as. Best option ended up being an espresso shot, raw sugar + topping up with cold milk, on the warm days.
