Says a lot when it can supposedly taste like that yet still be better than GYG.

    • +1

I'm not vegetarian but prefer the cauliflower one over all the meat varieties which taste the same

    • +7

Can you tell me which cat food specifically so I can stock up? I don't have pets btw.

      • -1

        Whiskas , I believe .

    • The last time i had it, it was so salty i promised myself never to have one from there again. Is it a new recipe?

  • How do we know which locations are participating

    • +20

You may have to ask store staff.

The terms and conditions of this offer says:

1.5. This offer is available at the discretion of the restaurant manager or franchise partner and may not be available at all locations.

That is a sneaky clause, considering the image on the Zambrero website says this offer is at every restaurant.

      🤷‍♂️

Wait isn’t this deceptive marketing ?

        • +2

          Because it is !

        • +1

          Yes Definitely is

  • Worst food poisoning of my life from Zambrero. Never again. That’s what happens when you leave food safety responsibility up to kids.

    • +6

More likely the manager trying to save money by serving old food

  • +1

    Better than GYG…

    • +6

      Low bar, both shit IMO

I reached out them regarding a location near me and I got the below reply.

Thank you for reaching out with your enquiry.

I can confirm our 300 restaurant celebration event will be occurring across all Zambrero locations globally, including all Queensland restaurants.

T&C's can be found on our website: https://dph95f73vdxmz.cloudfront.net/uploads/300-Restaurants…

We look forward to seeing you on the day!

    Kind regards,

Only tried hecho en mexico out of all the fast food mexican places, is this any better?

  • Wonder how many they usually sell a day, can either get a burrito at usual lunch time or play it safe and get it in the morning

    • +5

Yeah my thoughts too 300 is a fair bit per restaurant but this will draw all the Ozbargainers out

  • Guzman and Gomez not too bad, a bit better than Madmex imo… free tastes better however as per Ozbargain culinary rules.

  • I see nowhere on the site or in the terms doc that I need to follow them on Insta.

I was going to make a couple of fake accounts for me and the kiddo tomorrow but seems it won't be necessary.

    • +2

I think you are right, it looks like the terms and conditions have changed.

      • If you go to the terms and conditions linked in the deal description, you get an Access Denied error. That was not the case when I edited the deal last week.

      • The updated terms and conditions now make no mention of Instagram.

      • Hells yeah!

The missus has an Insta, so she's covered. I never have, and the kiddo is 8, so I'd have made a quick couple accounts in the queue in the morning in case they wanted to be shits. No wuckin' furries!

  • So what hurdles do we need to jump - just be there and ask nicely?

    • Hoping to!

Valid for both Burrito and Bowl as well.

What's more value from a kJ. perspective?

      • +1

The burrito is much bigger than the bowl imo

  • What stores apparently not all stores participating.
Doesn’t tell you on their website either

  • +2

  • +1

Amazing if not sold out yet!

Just picked up mine at 12:12 PM. Lady had a paper printed counter and she was striking off. I was no. 150.

  • Can any recommend a go to ? About to try my luck in 20 havent tried these guys before

    • Try Zambrero Shoreline.

Edit: Oh, you mean recipe. I thought you meant store without stating where you live (although your profile says Perth) so I was being facetious and suggesting Tasmania.

I went lamb and red chilli. It was very spicy. I've heard cauliflower is good, but I felt like meat was better value for my non-existent dollar.

      • Sorry bro yeah meant what burrito to try ! Ill have a look at the lamb one cheers !

  • is the one in mater brisbane still available?

Local Zambreros in WA is turning people away 11:15am

  • Last time I got Zambreros it was awful, ordered the exact same thing today and it was surprisingly good. I don't understand it.

    • Food tastes better when it is free.

    • +2

High demand = you're likely to get fresh ingredients

  • +1

Just came back from Malvern, Melbourne… They also turning people away!

  • got it from Penrith, NSW. No queue. Great customer service and very good taste and quantity (much bigger than GYG burrito). will try again for sure.

  • -1

Thanks OP, sent my staff to get the burritos and they were actually happy to give her the two; that was work lunch sorted.
