    Ordered one
    Thanks

    • is the invoice provided by wireless1? i have ordered other stuff from them and would like to bundle this together for TRS

      • Haven’t received invoice yet, probably once it gets shipped

  • +1

Estimated between Fri, 18 Oct and Thu, 24 Oct to 2000

  • +2

    Is this grey import?

  • +1

    AU stock?

  • +8

    Are questions now banned?

the /A in the model means it is the Australian model.

    • +4

      Could be Austrian.

    • +1

/A doesn't mean Australia. 2 letters before slash is the region code.

ZA is Singapore or Hong Kong.

      • +2

Thank you. I didn't know that.

Nevertheless, JB, Good Guys, Amazon are all selling the same model number.

        • It is indeed. Apple seems to also sell ZA/A here (AirPods, Pencils).
Normally it would be X/A (hence my first comment). Learned something new today. Thank you.

  • Ohh man est delivery 18 sept - 24 October?

  • Heard these are great

    • +5

Did the new Active Noise cancellation help?

  • +1

Is it just worth springing extra for the older pro models? in regards to the ANC quality

    • +3

Yep. I’ve watched so many reviews of both and while the ANC on the 4’s is very good, it’s still below what’s offered on the Pro’s.

You can pick the Pro 2’s up for $280-$290 with Officeworks price beat every other week.

      • I was late for the Pro 2 deal yesterday :(
Will look out for one hopefully this month or October so that I can bundle for TRS when I travel

    • +8

It comes down to whether you want in-ears or earbuds. ANC on Pro model will always be more effective since it can form a tight seal.

Some people don’t like in-ears, so this model is a good alternative.

      • +6

Worth noting that some reviews I’ve watched have shown this model has fallen out of people’s ears because the fit isn’t right for their ears.

        • +1

Haha! Downvoted for stating a fact….OK!

        • +1

Silly downvote. I got you! I loved the fit of the standard 2nd gen, then got the 3rd gen and they fell straight out of my ears, gave them to my wife which fit her great. Now I’ve read the 4’s have a better fit than the 3’s but I’m scared to try again given how similar they look… I’d go the pro’s but I don’t like tips!

          • @squinly: I don’t think all the research in the world could come up with a design to fit absolutely everyone unfortunately which means you’re got the decision of having one that doesn’t fit correctly, one that fits but creates too much pressure or looking at 3rd party options, which for most isn’t ideal.

I’m heavy into workouts and before I originally picked up my APP2’s I tried the AirPods and they stayed in for about 10secs. Exchanged them for the APP2’s and have never looked back but I did fit some memory foam tips which increased the in-ear comfort tenfold.

At the end of the day, neither might be suitable for some people.

          • @squinly: Lucky, I got 3rd gen for my wife, while she can use them, they do fall out quite easily. I tried them as well and they fell right out of my ears, don't even think they sit in my ears whatsoever.

    • Would like to know as well. I have heard with pro, ppl complain if the fit and not being able to sleep with them on

      • I def cannot sleep with the pro…

        • +4

          The oldest profession

    • I think the older pro's are worth the extra $50 or so.

I've got the AP Pro 2 and have tried out the AP 3 a fair bit. I can't comment on ANC difference obviously, but the Pros are a much more comfortable and secure fit for me, the sound quality is better (due to the tips I'd say) and the ANC is excellent.

      • You know there is no ANC in 3 right?

        • Yep. Thats what I implied with “I can't comment on ANC difference obviously”

      Pro tips hurts

    • Like others said, it depends in you like the silicon tipped versions or not. For me they absolutely hurt after a little. I cant stand them. The normal ones are just fine for me. The dont fall out but then again I'm not bouncing about like a childrens toy. Plus my ear openings arent as open as a well journeyed orifice. But silicon tips wil always give better noise cancelling.

      • +1

Gen 3 never hurts even If i wear them all day

        • +1

Gen 3 are pretty excellent. Especially if whatever app you're using has an equalizer so you can custom sound things.

    • lots of people dont like silicon tip extending too far in ear for comfort and long time usage . These are prefect for such people

  • +1

    These or Pro 2nd gen?

    • +1

The Pro’s are still much better overall feature wise. Fit is the biggest complaint of the Pro 2’s but I’d you’re OK with that, they’re a no-brainer IMO.

      • The plus with the Pro 2 is the XS ear buds which fits a lot better for me compared to the Pro with just S earbuds.

    • +2

Question is do you like eartips in ear or not? In my case eartips buds never stay in my ear, so had to use Shokz bone conductions for past few years. Now these earbuds are actually looking good for someone like me, I wish i could test 'em, but no store allow it for hygienic reason.

      • +5

Just buy them from Apple and you can return them within 14 days for a full refund if not suitable. I’ve done it before for the Pro’s.

        https://www.apple.com/au/shop/help/returns_refund

        • +1

oh thanks for letting me know that, i might just do that.

        • Is iPhone / Airpods excluded from OfficeWorks 30 days satisfaction guarantee?
OW might say it need to be unopened to be in a resalable condition !

          • @utsc: Three years ago, i was denied a return of Airpod pro, when i went back 2 days later to return 'em becuz they would drop out after few seconds. it was at officeworks wentworthville.

    • -1

      Definitely these
      Ear tips hurts

    • Like everyone says I am looking into this as I hate the fit of my Pro 2nd gen

      • -1

The tip is not good but these are better without a annoying tip

    • Aside from the silicone tips, the AirPods Pro 2nd gen has slightly better battery life too.

  • Can't go wrong at this price. Heard some really good reviews about this new airpods 4 with ANC.

  • very good price, but -ve feedback is heavily about delayed shipments, so a 1 month wait may end up being longer.

  • ordered thanks OP!

  • Ordered! Maybe an ATL - future posts may not match this price.

  • Would this be worth getting if you have a Samsung phone? I'm only considering these because I never liked the in-ear type.

    • Then get the Galaxy Buds 3.

Won't be able to change the controls or use all the features.

  • The coupon code didn't work for me.

    • Only one coupon is allowed, make sure U TYPE DEALS20 not deal20

  • Good price, wonder if the ANC can block out shit gym music.

    • Pros barely manage to half do that

    • I don't think you'd be getting this for the ANC. The way I think about this airpods is that it's more of a noise reduction rather than cancellation, and figured it's just a little bit of an extra feature since silicone tips are so uncomfortable for me (hence why I don't go for the pros). From the day they announced this I already knew it's impossible to achieve good ANC due to the physical structure of the pods.

  • -1

For abit more u can just get the pro2?

    • -1

      Pro buds tips hurts

  • +1

    Ordered thanks

  • ETA is 24th Oct when I placed my order

  • -4

yeah I like my airpod pros lol I wouldn't want to trade it for this lol.

    • +1

      Lol totally bro lol

    • +5

Features set aside, the biggest factor really is the fit. Some people hate the silicone tip fit/feel but on the other side, these types of designs don’t actually stay in some people’s ears.

It’s a very personal thing and I feel if the Pro’s do fit, they are much better value for not a great deal more money. I replaced the silicone tips with memory foam tips and they give a completely different feel and seal.

These may well serve a purpose for some though.

      • The original gen 2s fit me perfectly but I’ve tried the gen 3s and they’re way too big for my ears. I assume these are the same.

  • Why are people saying get AirPod pro 2’s over this new model that just came out?
At this price they are cheaper then pro 2’s as well

Is there any concern that these are from Hong Kong Singapore stock based on model number ?

    • These are new but an entry level model, spec’d below the Pro’s.

      • What’s the main difference between the two?

        • You can refer to Apple's comparison page:
          https://www.apple.com/au/airpods/compare/

Overall, Pro 2 has ear tips, thus better noise cancellation compared to Airpods 4. The stems on the Pro 2 can also be used for controlling volume. Pro 2 also has better lower frequency (basically it sounds a little better than Airpods 4).

    • -1

I'd say it's mostly up to preference between the Pro 2 and the regular 4's with ANC.
Silicone tips on the pro's will have better passive noise cancelling so if you find those comfy, spend a bit more and get the pro's. Otherwise go for the 4's with ANC as they still sound good and share a lot of features with pro's

    • MXP93ZA/A is Australia

    • because the pros are better.

  • ordered, although its says 18-24 oct est delivery im willing to wait, $238.40 is a extremely good deal.

  • Would these be good fit for work outs and running ?

  • Are they cover by Apple for two years?

  • Managed to get Amazon AU to reduce their price to $249 for the same model

    • +1

      How do you do that?

      • Gave them some good ass BBQ and foot massage

      • Spoke to customer service chat and showed them the eBay listing. Best they could was $50 discount but I figured the quick delivery and easy returns process was worth it.

        • +1

          amazon support are fking useless.

        • +1

i have tried but they say no they don't do any discount or match price, did you use online chat or a call

          • @petros0: Same lol maybe it’s only for prime members

            • @Nathw: I am prime member for years now

              • @petros0: same, support guy couldn't even respond properly, just kept saying they don't price match.

          • @petros0: Online chat, technically they don’t price match but I’ve heard they’ve done it before via chat. Maybe try again later with another consultant

            • @Big Lez: Tried speaking with a few different ones, they wouldn’t do it.

        • Thank you I got $50 discount via chat.

    • You are a legend, thanks.

    • +1

      I got 60$ refund

      • Thanks! I just tried and they're promising me $60.00 refund once it's delivered!
