Speding $480 on an almost 4 years old model is nuts… Spend a few more $ @ Dell Outlet & buy a system with full warranty from Dell..

That link is for the consumer-grade Inspiron though, the business-oriented Latitudes cost more.

      • 4 years old used business unit vs. factory refurbished consumer unit with full warranty, there's no contest.

There's no reason for a consumer to be paying $480 buying a used 4 years old (wear on components, battery) business laptop.

I wouldn't ignore the difference between a business and bottom-end consumer laptop.

I'd do more research into specific models first, but I would personally prefer a used business laptop vs a new entry-level consumer laptop. They're usually built more solidly making them last longer.

For anyone wondering, the current generation of this Latitude is the $2,442 5450.

    • Mate, you are my hero! That's exactly what I need! Tomorrow I planned to buy similar laptop on Ebay, but suddenly you pop up with this link to official refurbished items in official Dell store at the same price! Thank you! It was just in time.

      • What did you grab? I’m curious about the refurbed units and my kid needs a new laptop

        • Dell Inspiron 15-3525.
But I need it primarily for work, not for gaming. This laptop has no discrete GPU, so I'm not sure this is the best choice for kid :)

    • it's crazy yeah? I bought a similar Latitude for around $300+ a year ago…just stack up all the codes & cashback & cards

    • Battery health is already there in the post.

        • Thats right. As specified in those listings at ebay, they have:

          1. Dents which looks like dead pixel, but not affecting daily use
          2. Few obvious dents on left top edge
          3. Some paint chips on edges
          4. Missing chargers
          5. Sticky key
          6. Paint chips
            • @FLICKIT: How is 70% stuffed? It is literally a quantifiably reasonable amount, not much more the OP can do?

                • @FLICKIT: Thanks for the detailed explanation. I didn't realise they fell off a cliff like that?

            • @FLICKIT: Please read details in our listing as you have done for ebay ones.

For those ebay listings, are they offering batteries with superior health?

                • @FLICKIT: Thats great to see that you are concerned. For some reason, it just feels like you are just making statements to mislead people or trying to at least bias them with your personal statements.

How is GST associated to a business going bankrupt? If a business is making 74K revenue/year is required to register for a GST.

Can a business registered for GST guarantee that they wont go bankrupt/ vanish?

As you are promoting those ebay listings, can you please confirm that they wont vanish?

                    • @FLICKIT: Insted on answering any of my questions seems like you are here just to blame us as dodgy based on your incorrect and assumed openions.

Anyone who listed their laptop with 70% battery life and grade A/equivalent in ozb, have you mentioned that they are dodgy as well?

I am sure, to support your great cause, you frends will jump in soon.

      battery is fuctional.

Assuming these have the SIM slot enabled (not a given), I'd value these around the $400 mark, ideally from a less shady reseller.

    • I have bought from corporatetec … and I can confirm they are not 'shady'..

it was the HP x360 1030 deal.. works fine for me.

      my colleague got one too..

these are secondhand.. so the usual dings and etc.. but I am still using it today.. no issues..
