[QLD] Inokim OX Super 60V eScooter $1499 (Was $2499) C&C (Quote for Delivery) @ eco scooters

80

I took my scoot in for a service yesterday at the Inokim store in Annerley and noticed they are having quite a decent sale on a few models of the Ox range.

Ox Balance - $999 was $1799 Sold Out
Ox Hero - $1299 was $1899
Ox Super - $1499 was $2499

I've had a Super for a few years now, have just recently clocked 1,500km on it and I only have good things to say about this brand. The ride comfort with the huge single arm front & rear suspension makes every other scooter I've tried feel like a toy. I don't actually know the ins and outs of the differences between models within the Ox range, you'll have to do your own research there. But as a very happy owner of one of these I feel like this is an absolutely cracking price.

I've had mine for 5 years now, over 6000km. good scooter.

    • what was the warranty on yours? I've reached out and they indicated the Balance was now sold out but they would sell me a Hero at the same price. However, indicated only 3 month warranty which doesnt feel right? Thanks

It must be a recon one, as the warranty on a new should be 12 months, although under consumer law longer

      • ACL covers you. I haven't had any issues but they did server for the first 6 months or a year I think. I took that and stopped going "to the inokim store in annerly" because after I took it in for maintenance I fell off and lost my phone in the river because they hadn't correctly tightened the stem and it clipped the frame as I went around the corner.
Since then I've taken care of it myself aside from snowbiz in the city modding a new kick stand bracket on to t he frame. I can tell I am in need to replace the battery by now.

      • Rang their 1300 number the other day. Went to a mailbox that told callers to send an email.

Then called the other mobile number, that went to their service centre (I think), and a bloke told me that the business had just been sold to people who don't speak English (he sounded Aussie though).

So, I tried to send a message through the website.

Person called Lina responded, first said the Hero was $1700, and shipping will be $100.

I responded and asked about the Balance, as well as pointed to the website advertising as $1299 for the Hero.

Lina then replied to say it was $1299 for the Hero, and the Balance was sold out (no offer for the same pricing like what TheGiant got). Emails had grammatical errors, though you can make out what she is trying to say.

Then got another reply saying the prices are cash only, although you could order and pay with a card through the website, and then request a quote for delivery.

Anyone had better luck getting one from them? This process doesn't seem to inspire confidence.

        • Yeah mine has been similar, speaking to 2 people, very short responses.
Cash only, told me new when I asked if reconditioned, given the 3 month warranty.
Website prices have sale prices and can add to cart.
Balance still stock on hand on website also at $1k.
But emails are must come at certain time and cash only.
Good deal but just screaming McDodge to me.

  • What are eco scooters like for servicing? Easy to get into and deal with? What kind of money is it for a tube change or general service?

Great! They are the official Inokim outlet and have been in this same store for at least 5 years. Service tiers and inclusions are listed on the website between $100 - $200. My service on the weekend was in fact the first time I'd ever put mine in, so just went the whole hog. This included new handlebar grips, brake pads, tyre & tube. $25 for a new brake rotor and it feels like a brand new scooter! This was all done in like 3hrs on Saturday.

This is one of the main reasons I originally went the Inokim - I love having a dedicated store with specialists available to work on it with official parts if need be. Admittedly the guy running the store now is different to the one I knew years ago, but I was happy overall.

      • Thanks for sharing your experience!

  • The inokim ox super has some good reviews. Anyone here have any experience with one?

I'm probably going to get a scooter today, just for commuting, and this is on the list.
    Others include:

    NIU KQi 300X
    EMOVE Cruiser S
    Apollo City PRO
Kaabo Wolf Warrior X Plus (A bit more than I had hoped to spend but I am considering it).

    • All of my comments in this thread are about the Ox Super. AMA

      • Any idea how the Ox Super stacks up against my list? The deck doesn't look particularly big. Does it have indicators? Also, it doesn't look like a two-and-a-half grand scooter.
I'm new to e-scooters and have watched a tonne of YT videos but there are so many options that it's difficult to make sense of it all. The ones on the list all have decent reviews, including the Ox, so maybe I can't lose?

I have no opinion on your list sorry.

No indicators and to be honest I can't really think of a single time I would ever find them useful.

Not sure what a $2500 scooter looks like but I don't regret my full priced purchase (albeit back in 2020). For $1500 it's a steal.

When I first bought mine I was able to take it out for a test ride so that might be a good option to feel confident in your purchase. I think ride comfort is the major thing that will change between scooters. The higher end ones excel in suspension which is critical with these tiny tyres.

Honestly you're probably going to love whatever you get.

    • Segway-Ninebot GT1 is also on the list
