Great price on this Android tablet from Alldocube if you're after something on a budget that'll handle a bit of gaming, media playback and general usage. This is a better option than the usual budget offerings as it uses the MediaTek Helio G99 that outperforms the UNISOC CPUs.

While the listing does say Android 12 it may ship with Android 13, as the 8GB/256GB variant has identical specs to the Pro Max. Based on the images this one should have Widevine L1 DRM with Netflix HD. The 8GB/128GB variant does not have Widevine L1.

Featuring 10.4" IPS 2000x1200 IPS display, 8GB RAM, 256GB UFS 2.1 storage (microSD support up to 2TB), MediaTek Helio G99 Octa-core CPU, 6000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, USB-C, 4G LTE with B28 & Dual SIM, 5MP front camera, 8MP rear camera, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, dual speakers and GPS.

Stack with 10% cashback at TopCashback and 5% off with AliExpress Coins for further savings!

  • Add Bundle: 8GB 256GB NFE to the cart
  • Apply the coupons 3UMM5XJC8PGA and IFPSFPU or IFPIFKB

If IFPSFPU or IFPIFKB doesn't apply you can use OZAF12 or AUFF12 for US$8 instead of US$10 off.

AU$ based on current Mastercard rate and GST inclusive.

For those paying in USD this is how you get the correct exchange rate in PayPal:

Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA exchange rate depending on the card.

Do you have any game recommendations? I assume this is okay for RetroArch with an 8bitdo controller?

    • +1

The G99 is good for emulation and a controller is fine. You can handle a lot of PS2 games.

I was hoping to have more tablet deals this month but AliExpress forgot to include the GST during the price negotiations. Perhaps next month :)

      • got my eyes on Xiaomi pad 6s pro. is it good? any deals coming up? thanks

      • +1

Speaking of GST, still waiting for that team to fix the GST calculations at checkout ;)

        • We can thank China's culture of saving face for that. They know there's an issue but the boss of the specific team who is responsible for it denies wrong doing to save face. I'm still trying to put pressure on them.

thanks! bought bunch of other stuff to get over 150usd and used a $15 coupon. and also $7 in coins. win.

  • Just use Pay After Delivery with your fees less credit card instead of going through PayPal. For some reason I can't seem to find the settings to set my credit to pay in USD without converting.

  • Any cover suggestion

I bought an aldocube to use as a headunit/gps for my car. Absolutely useless. It intermittently acts like the GPS does not exist, making it utterly useless for the one thing I got it for. I am sometimes driving for 10 minutes before it suddenly decides it has gps functionality again. The software is ass & will never get an update.

Worst tablet, even by cheap Chinese ewaste standards.

    • GPS doesnt function well in a car without an antenna for a lot of head units, thats why most of them come with an external antenna.

yet a phone works perfectly fine?

        • +1

Yes. Im not saying it is good, but I wouldnt write off the tablet based on its GPS utility.

I would never expect a cheapo tablet to have good gps thats all. I wont buy an aldocube myself as I had one years ago and the battery bulged after 6 months or so.

Phones also use data off towers as AGPS (Assisted) to help the GPS work better by getting a rough idea of where it is and which satellites to look out for.

Devices without mobile data tend to take a bit longer to get a good GPS signal and usually require an external antenna that goes to clear sky

It's not that the system can't get a GPS lock it thinks it has no GPS at all. I don't know if it's a driver crash or something else but the tablet thinks it has no GPS available for up to 10 minutes at a time. A restart usually fixes it but that takes just as long as waiting for it to decide to work again.

It does the same thing out in the open with an empty sky above it it's not just in the car.

For media playback I'd be interested to know if it supports Dolby VisIon and HDR10. Can't see it noted on any of the specs.

As someone who bought one of these Chinese tablets from another brand, highly recommend saving some more money and getting an older generation Ipad or older flagship Samsung tablet. Trust me on this one. Just get something from a reputable brand.

As someone who has been using an Alldocube Mini Pro since the beginning of this year, I wouldn't waste my money on an overpriced iPad or Sammy ever again.

    • What brand and which model?

      • Doogee t30. I tried returning a doogee t20, banggood has proven to be absolutely useless. Don't buy anything more than crappy knick knacks from them.

    • You trippin' son, just buy a magentic charger as the charging port will go in just over a year!!

  • What about the 13 inch with android 14?

Good video on this tablet from TechTablets

    • This isn't a deal on the Mini Pro 😅

      • Oops you're right. Both the 50 and 60 come in mini/pro/lite versions; the 60 is the latest iteration with minor spec bumps.
