Castrol EDGE Synthetic 5W-30 Engine Oil 5L
Castrol EDGE 5W-30 engine oil A3/B4 with Fluid TITANIUM is the natural choice for drivers who demand maximum engine performance from today's modern vehicles requiring a high level of protection and higher performance oils. Today's engines continually push the boundaries of technology and engineering, they are smaller and ultra-efficient, without sacrificing performance. Advanced engines challenge the oil with increased pressures. These intense pressures cause friction, which can waste up to 10% of an engine's performance. Castrol EDGE 5W-30 A3/B4 is an advanced full synthetic engine oil suitable for use in automotive petrol and diesel vehicles, where the manufacturer recommends an ACEA A3/B4, API SL/CF or earlier specification 5W-30 engine oil.

Repco's RRP is now $91 for this oil though it can be found cheaper at other retailers when comparing RRP.

Baby oil is the best for your engine. Rendering and refining babies isn't the most ethical of processes, but what oil production is?

Sounds like one of my first jobs where I thought I was going to get paid to sit on a baby.

This is not $91 oil. $42 should be its RRP.

    • What is $91 oil in your opinion?

      • Mobil 0w40/Penrite Racing series of oils are two examples.

  • This or magnatec?

    • I have tried both but don't know how to measure whether one is better than other. Should I use OBD based monitoring software etc? Dunno and can't be bothered.

      • Probably the only way would be a used oil analysis at a lab.. Probably not worth doing unless you're running a fleet or some sort of high performance vehicle.

        • Thanks, I will continue with magnatec (as this is in the motor now).

    • This is higher spec than magnetic but shares some of the properties of it.

  • Is this suitable for a 6 cyl JDM car from the 90s?
