Arguably different products. This one you can install Firefox and get adblock, upload your own movies and music, install apks etc. Apple has app store. Battery life on these is fantastic

I can do all of that on an Ipad, except I use Brave for no ads and not interested in apks as I pay for the apps I am interested in. I have an iPad but I am not an Apple fan, I just got the iPad mini 6 on a huge discount.
for me newpipe is a must have app, as is vlc, but you do you. as is oled obviously

If you want apple ecosystem and UI buy an ipad.
If you prefer technology and flexibility buy an android tabletI know 2 people who are engrained into Apple ecosystem who refuse to buy iPads because iPadOS is so limited and not fully developed. They both have Samsung Tab S9 Ultras and are their only Android devices.

I'm one of them. Got 3 Mac computer. Love the Apple ecosystem. iPados has the be the worse operating system ever created
I think the issue with iPadOS as some have critiqued, and rightly so, is that the more advanced and developed it becomes, the more it overlaps with the functionality of MacBooks and therefore reduce the market share of the combined iPad-MacBook ecosystem. Apple doesn't really have an incentive to improve the iPadOS if they want to keep selling MacBooks. They will try to keep it separate as much as possible.
Listen to PlaunsJanus, if you're in the apple eco system and will be doing any work on a tablet get an ipad, otherwise go with an android tablet

Don't forget the Samsung gets 4 years updates and Lenovo you are lucky to get one update on top of what they come with depending on when you buy it. For me, updates and feature upgrades are worth $$$$ as my work won't allow devices I cannot update on their system.

They're slow compared to the Mx series Apple iPads. Which is no surprise, I am posting off of a m2 powered laptop contests my i7 macbook.
Bet you think all android phones are slow just because you used an A-series a couple years ago. Buy cheap device, get cheap experience. Buy more premium device, get premium experience. Same goes for apple products, I wouldn't buy a base model iPhone (60Hz 🤢) or iPad (LCD and 60Hz🫤).
S9 has waterproofing if you need that. Otherwise this will be identical for most users

No what I said before was only just a dream. I got sent what I paid for but the stock must be really old though because the battery was empty when I received mine and it took a while on the charger until I could turn it on again to set up.
Still in denial I didn't click buy, well done to those that got one.
Don't worry look out for the next deal with the S10 coming out the S9 should be on special soon.

Question to the people who received the tablet how’s the battery life ..? Mines draining pretty quick and it arrive with dead battery and it took me over 3 hours to first charge with 35w charger. Looks like old stock. I’m thinking of returning and getting Tab S10+ deal for $900 something with keyboard case directly from Samsung.

I’m gonna take it to local store to check if they can swap it over or offer something similar . If that didn’t work I might consider selling. Also I got silver version which $80 more see comments above for details.
I was gonna say something about battery life cus it wasn't great on the first few charges. I later did a battery life test through an app and it showed 97%ish life remaining so I guess it was more to do with the processor. S9+ battery life is like 2hr better due more efficient processor and VRR screen.
Given the price I guess it's still alright.
@AryaTheExplorer Mine was only lasting just over an hour if I watch 4K netflix movie on full brightness. Returned in my local store no questioned asked and ordered a new S10+ 256gb wifi with free book case for $887 through that deal posted here last week.
Nice one, that's well worth the extra 200. so many people trading in the S8 generation lol. The battery life on my S8+ did get better when I kept the brightness in check, it's not a major concern for me since I rarely take it outside, the screen isn't too different to the new one besides VRR so I just soldier on with it
