With the flurry of Good Guys eBay deals on, surprised nobody has posted this.

Just snapped one up with the $50 off code and also grabbed a Surface Pro 9 for about the same price (now sold out). Office computer upgrade complete (replacing an older Dell laptop and Latitude Surface Pro clone).

Where did you bring it to?

      • The kids? Guess they are separated.

    sold out!

    Surface Pro 9

Not sure if your serious or trolling

Doesnt come up in sold/completed listing on the search engine

      • Only 128gb … fair enough. Dont feel like i missed out on much haha

        • +1

Bought a stumpy 256gb SSD for $18.26 shipped to upgrade it: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/204723871487

Surface Pro 9 SSD can be upgraded with one screw (big leap forward from the horrible glued shut old models).

@xyron: But you do know the battery issues with all surface pro models. Good luck replacing when it happens after warranty expires.
I would invest in something easily self serviced.
Have a pile of surface pros at home with poor batteries

            • +1

@easternculture: I've had numerous Surface Pros from the first gen to the 6th gen, never had a battery issue with any of them, but if it makes you feel better for missing out, then I understand!

              • @xyron: Dont need another paper weight in the pile combined with extremely poor resale value

  • Damn, that is a hell of a price for anyone who grabbed it!

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/126660898002 - 512GB version is still in stock for $60 more though.

They are plaqued with problems though. Batteries dying after warranty ends is common and very hard to replace as you need to remove the screen

      • Yeah, it has always put me off the surfaces as I keep my laptops a long time. It's just ewaste waiting to happen.

        • Also extremely poor resale value

      • Thanks guess I’ll save my money

        • Surface pros were a big hype when they were first released mainly due to responsive touch screen and resolution, now many competitors that have improved alot with their designs

          • @easternculture: I just miss my old surface pro 3 tbh

            • @Jimothy Wongingtons: I still have a pro 4 16gb 1TB with no battery (got swollen and pushed screen out), Surface laptop 2 16gb 1TB that refuses to charge (60 battery cycles), pro 5 16GB 1TB LTE that has only 10% battery capacity left. All the other ones i sold before they developed problems.
I now use the the faulty ones as wireless screens

    • 512GB version is still in stock for $60 more though.

Worth the extra $60 just to avoid alcantara.

  • Have updated the listing with the 512gb model - not sure how to mark this as not out of stock

Just need to report it for the mods (I've done so)

Not a deal. Microsoft notebooks are bad.

    • Bad in what way?

I've been using my Surface laptop 3 for 5 years without issues and prior to that I used a Surface Pro 1 for 6 years

    • Like newer iPads, they are designed to be mainly manufacturer serviced so you either pay $$$ to repair after warranty or upgrade to newer model

    • I use this for work, web developer, and its fine.

  • Missed it :-(

  • damn OOS so quick :(
