I wonder how much difference is it to the qc35 series?
According to rtings the qc35ii has a very very similar frequency response.
In fact the qc35ii is the closest to the QC ultra in terms of sound and driver matching than any other QC headphones (qc45, QC both being inferior to the qc35ii).
I basically consider the QC ultra as the proper successor to the qc35ii, and the QC and qc45 as inferior models with a worse frequency response and poor driver matching.Soundguys has better measuring equipment and their results show the QC45 coming ahead (after tinkering with the apps EQ, which luckily saves to the headset).
It depends what you value in your lifestyle and amount of disposable income. Most of the best bluetooth overear headphones are about $500+ (e.g. Sonys WH XM5, and this Bose one, Airpods Max). This tier of headphones have the best noise cancelling, good pass through (ambient sound mode), and overall clean EQ Sound Profile. If you're not someone who listens to a lot of music and appreciates good sound quality, definitely don't spend $500 on headphones.

With a coupon code, it still easy to get it price matched at JB?
I tried - no dice. Via chat, JB Hi-Fi would only match the discounted Amazon price before the extra 10% off.
My experience with JB is that you have to sometimes try with a few different individuals. In the past I have had one person no and the other person say yes so try a few times before you give up.
No for me :(
Depends on the person working, other people are stingey
How are people finding these with Apple devices? I have a pair of AirPods Pro 2 and my wife has the Bose NC700. The Bose Bluetooth connection is a pain compared to the seamless changes of the AirPods Pro 2 with Apple devices.
Is it worth having the Ultras if you are in an all Apple Family ecosystem?
I have the qc 45s and they’re fine for me, even with the dual point connection.
I am not understanding why a headphone can be this much when it only has average codecs (SBC/AAC). No AptX or LDAC (to be fair, LDAC is only available with Sony Headphones).
Probably because people are willing to pay that amount, but what do I know, I’m not an eco student
i am not understanding your word wizard man
anyone with large ears have feedback ? most headphones crush my elephant ears and this seems to be my primary criteria for headphones
I look like an elephant and they suit me pre nicely.
I am still waiting for Bose QuietComfort 45 SE to drop to $160 mark. I might be waiting for a long time. I had high hopes that Amazon would do that for the PRIME day but it never happened.
I don’t think they will be back in stock.
I am looking for a headphone which cancels the most noise through its microphone. I am constantly on the move on public transport and take a lot of business calls. Budget is not a problem just need to know who is on the same boat as me and what product they're using
Price has dropped further and is now $449.10 after 'EL300' code. This might be ATL.
Amazing set of cans these. Love mine.
