Great monitor, very happy with mine.

for the $20 difference I'd just get it delivered from Amazon

Not worth the hassle and time to drive there to get it.

Do JB actually price match, let-alone price beat Amazon now? They've always been the biggest dogs even on a price match basis for anything that doesn't have a brick and mortar store within the confines of my city. Of course, I always walked away after they've advised me of this policy.

Yeah I've never had a problem with them price matching Amazon.

      • From how far back? I swear they have been the absolute worst for me. I probably just gave up on them a few years ago and never tried again. Do they now have a price beat policy as OP suggests?

They don't price beat they just price match, I've definitely got them to match amazon over the last couple of years for games etc

            @adamshere: So OP lied…

@Budju: I got this monitor for $470 at JB HiFi back in May after asking for a better deal and showing them the Amazon price at the time of $488.

@brommo: But they don't have an official price beat policy?

    • +1

YMMV. My local store doesn't price match unless a brick and mortar store in the same city has stock available. But I have heard other stores do price match amazon.

The website chat team definitely price match online stores (I got a price matched via Amazon AU last week) and will send you a link to complete checkout including delivery or free click and collect options in-store. Don't need to go and talk to a person in the shop at all.

        • I'll try online chat next time I get a chance. Cheers

I couldnt even get them to price match Myer because there was no stock in a store within x kms

Even though i could just buy it online at Myer

Needless to say….Myer got my money

Price matched Amazon AU on JB online chat last week and person seemed very happy and enthusiastic to do it.

No price beat policy, but your luck may vary with whatever rep you get online or in-store.

Have this as my higher refresh setup next to my 4k 120hz monitor
Use it daily as a screen for work and no complaints either

    Great bang for buck

  • but not 4k?

    • +1

It is 2k but that is a feature. A lot of games and midrange GPUs dont handle 4k well so 2k is in a good place for looking good without performance or scaling problems.

      • Agreed 👍

very good monitor. great price too. bought mine from Officeworks (saved up many gift cards) back in April for about $600. loved it so much i decided to get another 32" next to it. went with the GP750 (older version, no HDR, $390), which is used for browsing tasks while the gaming one is with the 850.

the legs are fairly big though, so i'd recommend getting a monitor stand. depending on the size of your desk you can get just the one monitor stand that does max 32" monitors, or get 2 stands but with more flexibility of how you want to layout the screens.

at this price, i'd get two. it's still cheaper than what i have right now with the 850 & 750. & you'd get 2 good ones instead.
