Not a fan of it but good price if you like it.

Chemist warehouse is a bit tricky with their price beat. They don't beat the price by 10%, they match the price and give 10% off the difference. In this case the Chemist Warehouse price is $38.50 more so they will sell to you for $57.64 ($61.49 - $3.85). Staff are often keen to find some excuse not to do it though so just go to Good Price if you have one near you.

      • maybe act like an adult and not use ablest language instead of trying to circumnavigate the swear filter?

    • Wow you're so cool

      • -7

20 years experience in the field, in better shape than 95% their 20s, either take good advice or don't..

        • Wow you're so cool

Preworkout is basically caffeine + bunch of shit like sugar Etc.

It'd be way more effective for most people To supplement protein powder than to have an extra 2 cups of coffee equivalent.

      • -3

Protein supplements do nothing, waste money if you want

        • Proof?

          • -2

@end user: Take it for 6 months, then don't take it for 6 months… That's all the proof you'll need. Thank me later.

          • +3

@end user: Lol not sure what you're expecting from someone who has only posted 2 deals in 12 years.

The "proof" is OP didn't last long enough in a workout for protein supps to work and needs a shit ton of caffeine + chemicals to get through a set.

            • -2

@pennypincher98: What does number of deals posted have to do with anything? LoL

Most bros in the gym are in there for over an hour but the intensity in their workout is a joke.. spend more time on tiktok or posing..

Protein doesn't = gains but keep telling yourself it does..

              • @cobrakai: Number of deals correlates to how much you're actually contributing to the community, so a way of explaining low quality posts like yours.

                Protein doesn't = gains

Well no shit lol. Preworkout also doesn't = gains. You actually have to put some effort in to get gains…

And umm.. preworkout is pre workout. It's in the name, before the workout. To stimulate you for the workout. That's what stimulants do.. Protein is best taken post workout. That's after. Protein does "build muscle" plus "muscle recovery" - why do your muscles need to recover before a workout LOL. No wonder you didn't get results.

Thanks for absolutely proving my point about your low quality BS lmao.

                • -2

@pennypincher98: "You actually have to put some effort in to get gains…"

                  My point all along fool…

                  • @cobrakai: Lol I do love how you tried to shift the goalposts and cherry pick once you realised just how wrong you were but no that was not your point.

Your point was "protein is useless, get on preworkout" without realising these are completely different use cases…

It's like saying running on a treadmill is useless, lift weights instead.

                    • -2

@pennypincher98: From my very first post:

"Get some preworkout and up the intensity, that's how you get gains.."

                      Try harder

                      • @cobrakai: Yeah I did check it lol.

Protein pointless if you eat 3 meals..
                        Get some preworkout

                        Then

                        Protein supplements do nothing

But keep going this is hilarious watching you squirm in the hole you've made yourself 🤣

                        • -1

@pennypincher98: whatever… keep pinching those pennies for your protein dude. gains coming your way.

BTW there's numerous health related articles online proving that loading up on protein does nothing, but keep taking your advice from those who sell the stuff..

2 grams per kilo of body weight.. yea brahh!!

                          • @cobrakai: Lol you still haven't learnt what the word supplement means… Or how/when to use them..

Not going to take my advice from someone who hasn't worked out what protein is for or achieved peak natty after 20 years lmao but keep going you'll get there one day bud 😃

The cobra only attacks people when it is cornered

I see where your name comes from now 🤣

                            • -1

@pennypincher98: keep pissing your 'peak natty powder' down the toilet bro..

like I said, stop taking that garbage for 6 months and it'll prove my point…

                              • @cobrakai: You need to stick to a narrative bud does it do nothing or is it detrimental lol.

Because if it does nothing stopping taking it will.. also do nothing. I sure hope you've got brawn because you certainly don't have brains 😂

I also love how your proof is "just trust me bro".

I don't know what you're getting out of this but my bro who's a PT thanks you for the "funniest thread he has read all year" lol

                                • @pennypincher98: Never said protein powder was detrimental to health.. Although excessively overloading your kidneys can't be great for them..

                                  IT professional on 150k, I'm fine…

Who's advice do you take who isn't either selling protein or claims natty but clearly isnt (and say they have 3 shakes a day and that's why they're huge) ?

Your bro's a PT LOL, so you both be pinchin them pennies hard?

      • While I'm not saying I agree with the other guy, this is not a fair summary of pre-workouts.

It's true that the main stimulant and effective ingredient tends to be caffeine though.

    • i'll never understand it tbh

people get obsessed and then forget the reason why they started in the first place

almost like gains eventually trump functional strength and aesthetics

at least that's how i try and rationalise it, maybe people just love to reimagine themselves as centaurs

personally i think the perfect physique is much closer to a gymnast than a beefcake, not so obvious with the shirt on though

  • +4

AminoZ for the win personally. I have used Musashi and Inc. WPI but since trying AZ, there's no going back

They regularly have deals on here too.

    • +2

And what specifically is the reason?

      • Would also like to know the difference

        • I tried both and am okay with both. I say go for the cheapest.

        • Clearly the only difference is taste..

        • The consistency once added to my oats is one reason. The range of flavours is also good. Loyalty program that they offer is a decent offering.

Inc. and Musashi have similar nutritional values as AZ with their WPI.

AZ often have decent deals posted on here as well.

At the end of the day though, it's all about choice, so if this deal does it for you, jump on it.

    • Second this, AZ for the win all day everyday

  • Have used their Frankston VIC store previously to get Chemist Warehouse in VIC to price match but now it says the following for that store in the Store Locator. Would be keen to know if it still works

"This Store DOES NOT participate in Good Price Pharmacy Warehouse Catalogue Specials"

  • Thanks OP, just ran out and no other deals around so dropped into the local and picked up the last 2kg 100% Whey Vanilla. Most of the Musashi products were on 50% special, almost picked up Musashi Creatine but much cheaper online.
