Natural colour is $39.90 for the big bois

These are the only trousers that I can but in Australia that actually fit me properly.

  • Literally bought them yesterday

    • +2

Could probably take them back and get them to refund the difference.

      return policy

      • +1

Only if the label is the same. They serialise each product meaning you can't buy it again and return the new one on the old receipt.

        • That's a bummer

          • +3

@heef: Doesn't hurt to ask them tho - say you bought it on 31st Aug and then it went on discount 1st Sept. Even if they give you $10 uniqlo gift card that is still a win.

In looking at the sizes, how does someone with a 40inch waist fit into slim chinos?

    • Depends on the height

        • +12

It exists, settle down. It’s also slim, not skinny. Read the title.

        • -1

It's certainly possible due to bone structure.

Someone may have a naturally pear shaped body and therefore have a 40"+ waist at a lower weight. I have seen it in some women but not a man before tho.

        • Victor Wembanyama.

      • +1

No it doesn't. These all come at 34" length therefore pant size is dependent on waist measurement and thigh circumference.

    • +6

Idk man I’ve seen some crazy fits during the height of My Chemical Romance/ goth emo times.

I just imagine the seams in some of those pants/jeans like that scene in Spider-Man 2 where Spider-Man holds back the train.

  • +15

These are pretty good, also don't forget free alterations in store for us height challenged peeps.

    • +1

      Free online as well

    • +1

      You had me at free!

    • +2

Eh? I think nearly everyone should be getting theirs altered including taller people. Seen too many guys wearing poorly fitted pants with heaps of ugly stacks. I am tall with long legs and I still have mine altered. Prefer to wear my pants lower without any breaks for comfort and for the pants to be 10cm to 15cm off the ground to show off my footwear.

      • +1

        Why?

        • If you find it comfortable having pants jammed up against your crotch then so be it… Personally prefer wearing the pants a few cm lower. Also having no stacks makes for a much cleaner and classier look. It is a timeless fit and you can show off your ozbargain $700 RM boots you purchased for $400!

          • -3

@ozdog64: What sort of weird (male) people look at other guys shoes?

            • @jackspratt: Beats me? I am just telling people how to look more presentable. You are the one being the weirdo here.

              • -1

@ozdog64: So you get your trousers tailored to finish halfway up your calves, in the hope that other people will admire your footwear.

                But I am the weird one…….. 🤣

                • @jackspratt: 15cm is showing the lower part of my ankle. But okay it may be halfway up the calves for you, little man. 🥰

                  • @ozdog64: Do you get lots of admiring glances and comments about your shoes and ankles?
Seems a waste if you don't.

                    • @jackspratt: All the time people ask me about my Andrew Mcdonald boots, but I tell them it's from Kmart. 😏

    • +1

Wait how does that work?? I always have trouble with pants being too tall for me

      • +4

Whilst trying them on in-store in the changing rooms, just fold up the pants to the length you want them shortened to and then the attendant there will pin it for you.
After you're done, when you take them to the counter to pay let them know you want it altered, they'll step you through the rest, ie when you can pick up etc.
I bought 5 chinos today and got them all shortened, no additional charge, done within the hour, went to have lunch and came back to collect, was super easy.

    • -1

Or just buy pants that aren’t a 34 inseam and you will get more of the intended taper of these “slim” chinos

  • +3

Skinny fit is better. The slim fit was almost straight leg lol.

    • +1

They seemed to have stopped making the skinny fit chinos. I've switched over to the skinny ultra stretch jeans.

    • Fashion’s changed unfortunately.

    • Yeah. I like these, and wear them, but calling them slim fit is a stretch

    • -4

Lol skinny fit is so 10 years ago. Get with the times. It's baggy

      • -1

Maybe for younger women.. baggy straight pants like your mum made aren't really a good look.

Sounds like these slim fit aren't that slim or tailored anyway.

        • +1

Look at the pants on the model. These aren’t remotely baggy.

Despite Uniqlo describing these as having a straight profile, you can see there’s a taper to a fairly narrow opening in the cuff

          • +1

            @beltdrive: Oh good.

Was reply to old mate saying baggy is in and skinny is out. Everything goes in cycles, those coloured rappers pants and overalls were popular briefly in the 90s.

    • Skinny pants look bad and aren’t fashionable

  • +4

There are made for people who don't lift. Tight as hell in the legs and lose around the waist.

    • Dunno about you but no different to pretty much every pair of pants off the rack…

    • +7

      Brother suffering from success

    • -4

What’s lifting got to do with your legs? Haha

      • +4

What’s lifting got to do with your legs

Leg lift machine. Leg press machine. Etc. work your leg muscles.

      • +1

        Strong legs keep you young!

    • You tried them out instore? I was wondering if these fit like the Lululemon ones, if not thanks for the heads up.

  • +3

I wish they didn't just rely on free hemming service. It ends up cutting off the natural taper so they look a bit strange.

    • It's incredibly easy to tailor your pants for a tapered look if you have a sewing machine. Highly recommend learning since you'll never have to pay a tailor again.

    • +1

Yep hemming 34 length pants if you’re average height is annoying and these are more straight leg then they used to be so they are more straight than slim once you cut 4 inches off the bottom.

  • +1

these lose colour so easily.. lululemon ABC slim fit pants are the way to go imo

    • They're also double the price…

  • +2

If you're looking for a top to match the cinos for office wear, their polos are also on sale, $39.90 down to $29.90.

I literally have these pants in every colour lol

Finished off the set when I was in Japan earlier this year.

  • +4

Unfortunately I live in Qld so rarely go past shorts

    • +10

      Thanks for letting us know

      • +1

This made me lol more than it should have

    • +1

Commenting on every deal that you have no interest in is very jv like of you.

    • Chino shorts are at the same price, so the bargain would be free altering these into shorts the length you want

  • +2

As others have said. Slim fit is kinda misleading. They are very loose.

  • +3

    Fade very quickly

    • Yep. Crap quality tbh. Stopped wearing these years ago

    • wash inside out and dry in shade

  • I see a lot of misinformed comments about fit, and I think a lot of people need to recalibrate their idea of what “slim” means. The last 20 or so years have really warped people’s perception of how men’s clothing ought to fit

In this photo on a normal person, the pants are very clearly a slim fit https://www.uniqlo.com/au/en/stylehint/6048927

They gather at various points on his leg. Fairly narrow cuff.

Ralph Lauren has a fairly big range of pants in different fits. This might help people understand the difference between slim, straight, relaxed, baggy etc (watch the videos) https://www.ralphlauren.com.au/men/clothing/pants-and-chinos…

    • +2

My thoughts exactly. These pants are 100% slim fit.

      • Depends how slim someone is I guess.
Best to try on, as with most internet clothes shopping.

        • Looks fine on those tiny 6'1 70kg models.

  • Hey guys how do you get alteration done with Uniqlo ordering online?? Can you order it then pick up ask for alteration for Chino pants?

    • +1

Under the Alteration part, just click the drop down menu and select the length. If you need more information just click on About Alterations

      https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/178946/115439/uniqlo.jpg

      • Lots of sydney stores are showing up as 'not available' for my size.
I dont think i can return once altered, which is more risky when done online

  • +1

The only pants that I wear. Suitable for casual. Suitable for formal. Uniqlo is the only place where I can find size 28 waist.

  • -6

Last time I checked it's pronounced "trousers".

  • +1

I really liked their skinny fit chinos but sadly it's no longer in production

  • -1

These fit perfectly 10 years ago. Now, they've made it roomier in the thighs and the rise is too high for my liking. Baggy is in so I guess they're just following the trends.

  • $10 off is a deal?

    • 16.7% off!

  • +1

They have white ones for 19.99* at macquarie centre (i think clearance or just not selling well) - else everything else normal/OP prices

  • -1

    Anyone get order cancelled?

    • -1

      Just you.
