This deal was pretty popular not too long ago so Satonic have agreed to do a special price for Ozb at 30% off bringing the brand new single cable 8.66” Android rear screen to an ATL of $348.60. This is likely the cheapest it will get and it’s not likely that we’ll see it close to this price again too soon. Satonic have sent some stock onshore so the first 10 or so orders should receive it within 5 business days while usual shipping times are 6-10 business days.

As usual, if you have any questions or comments please drop them below and if you have any product or order issues please pm me your order number so I can help.

If you’d like anything else VANILLA is still active for 22% off sitewide.

  • Do these support 2 simultaneous bluetooth headphones yet? Would be great to keep the kids entertained on long road trips.

    • One headphones and two controllers at the moment unfortunately. If you need two headphones you can connect it up to a bluetooth transmitter than can do two.

      • Would that not then introduce more audio sync issues?

        • Nope the audio sync issue is on the tesla’s bt receipt side. A transmitter to 2x headphones will not increase lag.

          • @turkz1: Fair enough, thanks for the input! I'll do some research but do you have any suggestions for a transmitter?

            • @Arsenal: Something like the Blitzwolf BlitzMax BT05 can do dual audio transmission. The only thing will be getting a usb c to 3.5mm adaptor to feed the audio to the transmitter from the Satonic unit.

These are powered by DC current not the underworld

      • Well that's a shame, I kinda want the underworld powered version….shoot, maybe next time.

Hold it up to a mirror and say Satonic Autoparts 10 times while turning in place

          • @turkz1: Mate that's how you get demons in your house. You definitely want to do this at someone else's house. Then it's their problem. LOL.

  • I dunno why you would buy this
Just buy an iPad for the car
Or an el cheapo Ali android tablet
    Each to their own …

    • pretty much, the back seats can also watch whilst ur driving.

tesla needs to be parked to watch anything on the main screen and to stream anything to the back from there.

    • Every time something like this is posted this comment is made so let me take the time to address it.

      1. An ipad will not control any of the car functions
      2. An ipad is difficult to safely secure in a vehicle and will become a projectile in an accident
      3. An ipad costs more
      4. An ipad will be a target for theft
      5. An ipad needs to be charged leading to exposed cables
      6. An ipad is locked to the app store while android can have sideloaded apps
      7. An ipad permanently fixed in a hot car is not a good idea

Points 1,2,4,5 and 7 also apply to cheap androids.

      • …I don’t want my kids controlling crap on my car, tablets on ur lap etc will have a better viewing angle, you still need to tether the internet cause I’m pretty sure Tesla don’t allow access to the car’s internet, heat on these devices will be no different from the product here and just chuck it under the car seat in front…each to their own :p

That all said. If you can use the car’s internet I can see it being worth the effort

  • Couple q's
    1. What's the audio lag that people refer to?
    2. How responsive is the touchacreen? I've seen complaints that the touchscreen lags
    3. Anyone that bought it last time have a review? Pros and cons?

      1. The audio lag is when you connect the unit to the Tesla bluetooth there is a sync delay between video on screen and audio. This is actually an issue with tesla’s onboard bluetooth decoding not an issue with the unit. There are reports that this has largely been resolved with a recent update. If you use the onboard speakers or bluetooth headphones you will not experience this lag.
      2. Very responsive and usable. Touchscreen lag was much worse on older units. Hard for me to put a number on it but I’d say 100ms or less using the android functions and 200ms or less using the tesla controls.
      3. Reviews have been generally positive. No video review of this model out yet as it’s very new.
