Guess it has just discounted for a few units?

  • What are people's experiences with the Tiny Epic series? I like the concept of being small and compact, but does it mean the tiny pieces go all over the place, get knocked around easily by non-dextrous fingers?

    • +1

From pictures I've seen, the size difference is not too much of an issue.

      ChatGPT comparison

      1. Size & Portability:

        • Tiny Epic Kingdoms (TEK): Comes in a small box but includes standard-sized components such as a game board, meeples, and tokens. The box is compact but not ultra-portable.
        • Ultra Tiny Epic Kingdoms (UTEK): As the name suggests, it’s an even more condensed version of TEK. The game components are scaled down significantly to fit into a much smaller box, making it more travel-friendly. It typically uses smaller cards and components to save space.

      2. Components:

        • TEK: Has traditional board game components, including faction cards, wooden tokens, and a slightly larger rulebook.
        • UTEK: Uses smaller cards and fewer physical components to make the game more portable. The pieces and cards are downsized, and the components are often made of card stock instead of wood or plastic.

      3. Gameplay:

        • TEK: The gameplay is relatively rich with more room to manage your kingdom and resources, including distinct boards for different factions.
        • UTEK: The gameplay is mostly the same as TEK but with a smaller, more condensed layout. It retains the core mechanics but sacrifices some of the tactile experience due to its smaller components.

      • Haha that time AI's translation is basically just "one is bigger than the other"

Just received it and it really is tiny

Going to 3D print out this simple insert - https://makerworld.com/en/models/17128

    • Interesting, my copy hasnt come yet but I have and Ender v3 I haven't used yet that might be worth using.

      • +1

if you have lots of board games, there are plenty of 3D printed inserts for board games around.

I did some for Calico & Cascadia, keeps everything tidy

        • I have a bit of an addiction when it comes to seeing board games on sale and ive filled up my mancave quite a bit already. Issue is most are still in their packaging as my wife isnt that interested in games unless its Catan really and she isnt really too keen on hosting games nights.

          • @Damannation: I've only just started my collection.

Any must haves? My kid is 6.
