      There are some good ones in there like already mentioned, but a lot of those still seem to be at regular price with 'clearance' tacked on (e.g. Star Wars Lex Go! is almost always $14.50, with an occasional drop to $9.50-$10.50 during sales).

        Yeah, there are always games being "cleared" at JB Hifi but a substantial number of games were added to the clearance section this morning with really big discounts. I tried to highlight the main ones.

      Was looking at getting the Marvel one but there aren't any near me. Keeping hearing good things about Codenames but I don't think I'd ever table it. Don't meet the friends requirement.

      For $6 I'd leave it on the shelf just in case though.

          Seriously though I think for the most part I'll try to play board games in their intended format. While I do have plenty of board games on Steam and I guess access to many more via other means, I'm trying to reduce the amount of time I spend in front of the PC, especially when it comes time to do stuff with the family.

      Some have a few differences but most play similar. Bit of a gimmick usually to have all the different versions. Ive only played a handfull myself as most people don't usually like Monopoly but my favourite I've played was the deadpool version not that its available in the clearance.

          Yeah basically cash grabs. They will release a game targeted at collectors with a theme often with a $60+ price tag and within 6 months they are often in the bargin bin as they are mass produced. Can almost always find a themed copy for $10-$15 at most toy shops.

    FYI Heroquest Kellers Keep may say out of stock on Amazon but still allows you to purchase so may be on backorder. I ordered through there as its hard to go past free shipping.

      Edit: I guess one thing to note about backordering stuff, you're not guaranteed to get it. I assume it should be OK for a popular game like this but I've had some backordered board games end up getting cancelled.

    Triominos is a fun game at $12. Usually around $30 for the basic version at most stores i.e. Big W.

      Honestly rarely gets a big sale on the "game system" and sits around $180-$210.
      Picked it up late last year in one of the EB one day sales for $90 (dont think will see that again as looks like they dont sell the "game system" anymore, only expansions)
      According to Camels $139 is the best price on amazon but it has only gone sub $150 a few times.

        Got a phone call saying I can click & collect HP Munchkin from another store. Disappointing to not get the other two games but happy with the customer service following up at a different store for me. Pity it wasn't the Codenames HP as that was the only one I was really bothered about. First C&C got cancelled, then it wouldn't add to my cart for delivery.

        There were a tonne of stuff on the website but most of it was still overpriced.

        The items above are approx 35% of what you would currently pay retail so its a pretty decent discount.
