Tip for existing members with a gmail

You can create a new account with an +aliased email e.g. <yourusualemail>[email protected]. Try it out first though by sending an email to yourself.
You'll need to unlink your mobile from the old account tho since you can't reuse the same number.

  • Test if +addressing works for your email by sending an email to yourself.
  • Get a throwaway number/sim
  • link it to your current account
  • deactivate your account.
  • sign up with a new account with your usual number.

    • That's what I have been trying to do since yesterday, but I have not received the verification email yet even after so many attempts. Anyone facing the same issue?

      • I’m still waiting for their verification code email. This is not happening to me

  • I'm an existing member with a membership ending in December 2024. If I sign up for the $20 offer now, will the one-year extension start immediately or after December? I'm a bit confused and want to confirm the renewal period.

    • new accounts only. This would not stack to your existing subscription whether be it active or not.

      • thanks mate

    • You can create a new account. But you'll also need to create a new account with Bunnings as there's no way to unlink your first account

  • +1

The main value for me would be additional FB points on purchases from Bunnings and K-mart. I rarely shop at the other businesses or order from the for delivery. So for me, the offer equates to a ~2% discount on purchases in excess of $1,000 in first 12 months. The benefit on the first $1,000 is offset by the $20 paid for membership. So if I spend $2,000 in the first year the benefit would equate to $20 (~1%).
At $40 per year I'd need to spend for than $2,000 just to break even.

YMMV but for me, just because it's half price doesn't make it a "bargain".

    • What about time savings in not having to go into store by having items delivered?

  • Anyone here not getting the verification codes to change email address or phone number? Its been few days I’m still not getting any emails

    • Is it hotmail by any chance? My Hotmail always has this issue, I need to manually add specific domain or email addresses to the safe list to receive code.

      • No. It’s gmail. I just gave up. What I’ll do it wait until 15th September until my account one pass expires and then see if they offer me another deal if not I’ll try the Ops method again.

  • anyone experiencing auto de-linking of flubuys? i have to relink my flybuys every single morning since i joined last week

  • My current membership runs to Jan. should i get this now and have a 4 month overlap, or HODL and wait for another deal to come through?

  • Is $20 a year a good price? I know it's 50% off which is good, wondering if I should wait & see what Black Friday has to offer (even though it's probably a couple months away)?
