damn its going down, bit annoying for us that bought it day one :D

na I'm happy for the 1+ years I've have with it :)

    • what was the price on the release date?

      • +1

799 I think from memory for the normal version.

Not sure if it's worth it at this price still?

I'll pass since I don't have that much time for additional peripherals..

Looks at steam deck and retro consoles untouched

  • this price drop happened about a year ago in the US, and now it is here. Sony and game devs have not put much effort on it recently, but I enjoy using it every time.

I paid almost $900 for the Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle last November

I think I paid $770 early last year. I used it heaps to start with. My whole family got into horizon and loved it but they lost interest quickly.
But I've played about 20 games and still have a few untouched and a few to finish.
With a few more to get that are coming out soon and now the PC adapter and playing ALYX I reckon it's been very good value.

      • What are thought about Screen door effect? I have quest 2 , even had quest 3 for some time both had sde, though quest 3 was miles better than quest 2 but i could still notice pixels, but screen door effect on quest 2 significant that i don't enjoy watching movies and playing flatscreen pc gaming(that's my main use case). any one else may chime in too.

        • +1

No screen door probably because it's kind of.blurry and never 100% sharp.
Some can't get past the Mura. It's kind of like a grey fog pattern that's always there. If you are looking for problems you will find them. If you are deep in a game they disappear.
I guess I'd never play flat screen games or watch a movie in VR. Maybe if you look at the same thing all the time you will see the problems all the time.

@choofa: thanks for the reply. I had some credit on amazon so I ordered one anyway. As long as it better than quest 2 I wont regret it. i always wanted to play Resident evil 4 and 8 in VR, atleast i can get that use out it.

  • Sony really dropped the ball on VR support compared to the first generation of this headset =\

    • What games did sony bring out for psvr1? Just asking as I cannot seem to find a list

  • It’s a shame but sticking with my PSVR1 seems like a better option in terms of the games right now

Big W dropped the price to $549 also. Free delivery.

    • Can we get WW's extra 10% discount on PS VR from Big W?

      • I was thinking the same

      • No it doesn’t look like it - order has to be less than $500 and I think it doesn’t apply to consoles

  • It’s 97k points on the Qantas points store too if that works for anyone

Mine arrived yesterday, have been playing around with it today!

First time playing with proper 3D/VR

    Woooow, GT7 is insane!
