Nice. $151 for the Breville milk frother after CB.

    • +4

Hopefully with a price like that, it won't leave you frothing at the mouth?

      • Turns out it's on the in-store only list so frothing that it's unavailable.

        • There's a few like that. We need a new dishwasher and the F&P Dish Draw is in the same category.

    • Read T&C before asking.

  • Will this work on mobile plan?

    • How would that work when it requires you to sign up in store?

  • Does using Ultimate Gift Card void this cashback?

    • +1

If you can use it like a credit card without converting to gift card.

      • I’m checking on this with TA - I deleted my previous comment to be on the safe side until I get confirmation

I did recall seeing it somewhere previously when the terms had changed to exclude gift card usage

An OzBargainer said this could be recognised as a gift card on TGG end, even though we classified it as CC

          • @Imnuts7: What do you mean proof? If you are referring to if I have dm’ed TA on OzBargain, I have around 18 mins ago

            • -6

@BargainsGrabber: That OzBargainer did not provide any proof.

              • @Imnuts7: Hence why I italicised could

Until I’m certain, I have dug through many of the past deals and couldn’t find the answer to the question

Even the link to that comment said believe - that isn’t even a strong definitive answer anyway

                  • @Imnuts7:

Why mention/emphasise it when it's just hearsay?

I only ever mentioned it because some people might have missed this as information can get lost for future deals - happened before when people kept asking about the voucher maximum repayment fee on the Telstra deals when I had responded and asked a JB employee on OzBargain that I am maintaining a connection with

A small thank you goes a long way when I have made the effort to ask these questions on behalf for you, rather than you just criticising and being negative on the smallest things in life

                    • @BargainsGrabber: But sometimes that information can be misinformation. I'm grateful for all the deals you have posted BG, but I must take a harsh stance on this. There have been instances where I've used gift card when the T&C's stated otherwise yet the cashback was still paid out.

I try to help out where I can, but if I’m unsure of any responses, I’d reach out to the store reps first to clarify things

Hi. Here's the answer you were seeking:

                        • If the customer fills in the Credit Card box in TGG's shopping cart, the tender type appears as a credit card and they pay commission on that value.

                        • If the customer fills in the Gift Card box in TGG's shopping cart, the value of that gift card is deducted from the eligible transaction amount and they pay commission on the difference.

                        • If an Ultimate Gift Card is actually a pre-paid VISA card which is entered as a Credit Card in TGG's shopping cart, then TGG's pays commission on that transaction as it simply appears as a credit card to them.

                        Hope this clarifies everything. Thanks.

                        • @tightarse:

If the customer fills in the Gift Card box in the shopping cart of TGG's website, the value of that gift card is deducted from the eligible transaction amount and they pay commission on the difference.

Thanks for this clarification. The T&C make it sound like the whole transaction gets invalidated for cashback if payment is partially made by gift cards.

Thanks for this. The terms have been updated on site. @BargainsGrabber would be awesome if you could please update the OP as well :)

Cashback is ineligible on any portion of the transaction paid with gift cards. Only the amount paid without gift cards is eligible for cashback. Note that purchase of any gift cards is ineligible for cashback.

                        • @tightarse: Thanks for confirming on how different payment methods works with TCB

  • -1

FYI: maximum purchase for a full 20% cashback is $750.

    • +3

      Wouldn’t it be about $833 ?

(Because of no cashback on GST?)

        • +1

GST is generally excluded in most cases. My cashback from TGG via Shopback didn't include GST so should be the same with TCB.

          Also from TCB's site:

          What else is essential
          * Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.

      • +2

I just did a transaction, and the cashback amount showing is excluding GST. So the Max benefit will be at $750 + GST = $825.

  • Separate from TGGC I assume?

    • Yup - that requires you to redirect to a separate URL to TGGC

can rep confirm if Price Check: Pay Less with PRICE BEAT on the good guys website itself is safe? This is not through chat or anything. just the price on the website when you click on that button.

    • +1

I am wondering the same but probably negative.

Cashback is ineligible on purchases using …… and price-beating.

and the cheaper price is not auto applied, unlike Amazon coupon or Amaysim/Boost mobile codes.

Would be great if @tightarse can confirm. Thanks.

    • Nope!

    • +1

From previous ozbargainers, as long as it was automated, it tracked for them. Reading through the comments here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/843809

Although still needed to be confirmed by TCB rep.

Shopback rep previously confirmed the same, as long as it's automated during chekcout, it tracks.

    • Can you please confirm @tightarse? Looking to buy something today and had the same question. TIA

    • Have the same question in mind as well. Hoping if @tightarse could confirm this

Hi. Unfortunately there's no official stance or terms around this from TGGs. What I can tell you (off the record) is that I've used it and it's worked for me and was paid out just fine. The important thing to remember is not to leave the site and not to negotiate externally (this will fail). Give it a go and if it tracks, you'll be ok. If it doesn't track, you've likely done something wrong. Sorry I can't offer more than this, and YMMV. Good luck!

        • Thanks. Can confirm it tracked. :)

          • @AsukaST: @TanedaR - hey just confirming you clicked on "Pay less with price beat" and then made a purchase and it's tracked alright?

            • +1

@jimmy1593: yes, paid with Paypal and delivered by uber.

        • Where does the uncertainty come from ? Is there a TGG human element who decides on a case by case basis?

Roborock Q8 Max+ worth it at $888 with 20% cashback or wait for Black Friday/Cyber Monday?

  • Bosch series 6 dishwasher ends up 1289-150, is it good price?

    • +1

$1,119 from E&S was the best deal I could find over Black Friday / Boxing Day sales 2023, so $1,139 is decent.

      • yes, it's good, but shame cannot stack with GC

  • Does this exclude the playstation portal remote player?

    • +1

“PlayStation” is listed as one of the excluded brands/products

      • +1

Yeah would have been decent with the new price cut on the VR.

  • TP Link X50 AX3000 are a decent deal about $260 ish with cashback

    • Get X60 for a bit more.

  • +1

    Thanks, OP.

  • Any insight into how long before cashback transaction is confirmed (it tracked as pending almost immediately)? Click & collect order so want to ensure cashback is OK before collection or using product.

    • It won't confirm for probably 12 weeks. Each store is different.

      • That would mean it goes direct to payable (status after confirmed)

  • Perfect timing. Needed a new coffee machine. Was on sale on the good guys. Tracked straight away. Didn't dare to use gift cards. See bigw got 20x points. But could've probably stack.

Edit: see gc dont track. Should've read it lol.

    • which one did you get? I'm thinking to get Bambino or Nespresso

      • Got the Philips 4300. Down from $1199 to $799. Same at JB and amazon. But with the 20% cannot go wrong.
Currently have an old delongi magnifica. Works, but on last leg. Saw other Philips was on sale too but this looked good for our needs.

  • DJI Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo (RC 2) = $1448

    • Shows at $1599 here. WA

      • Apologies. Meant to say after cash back.

        • @Frankly Frankie Ahhh, should've realised. Thought so firstly but My math didn't math up. $150 max.

  • Bose ultra earbuds would be a good price under $300 with the cash back.

  • I have bad experience with them tho. My cashback cannot be tracked, I lodged a claim with them a week ago and no response so far.

  • Anyone else have to pay with PayPal? It wouldn't accept my credit card, but was accepted when same card was used via PayPal. Got a feeling the 3D Secure was doing the rejection.
