We calculate Cashback based on the purchase price, excluding:

Be careful with these as they jack the price up when you click through the link. Should be illegal really but immoral at best.

Also check the hotel's own website, I recently booked one was like 30-40% cheaper than booking.com and if you count those 10-12% cash back, still 20-30% cheaper.

Booking.crap if you need to cancel a booking paid directly to the property who refuses to refund. You will be put through the wringer as Booking play the money market with your cash. They lie about their refund policy which is not on their website.They refused to send it to me. They also will not pull the property from their site. Absolute crap.

I really think booking.com should be banned on Ozbargain. I tried warning people by negging a Cashrewards post but got negged to hell because apparently the deal is related to Cashrewards, even though you have to make a booking through booking.com to get the cashback.

It sounds like a lot of people here have been scammed as well, so I am heartbroken that I couldn't help my fellow Ozbargainers.

So many scams on booking.com and it's near impossible to contact anyone on the site to report the scam and get a refund or some sort of resolution. It was the most stressful and infuriating experience I have ever had.

Just do a Google search and see the news section to see for yourself.
