Rate my INFLATED UberEats order

https://ibb.co/XbFBNMh

Had a craving at 9pm so decided to order a BIGMAC and MCCRISPY from maccas which is down the road (about 700m) : $29.

Despite the restaurant being so close the burgers arrived stone-cold, soggy and as you can imagine the buns were not even aligned with the rest of the burgers (a classic with maccas) and the salad was everywhere but in the burgers.

Considering asking for a refund after this horror show

Need a pic of the burgers when they arrived pls

OP got what they asked for.
They would have been fresh if OP wasnt so lazy….
OP could have walked the few paces to the local McD down the road (700m) and got nice, hot, fresh ones.
Would have also left a smaller carbon foot print if so concerned.

      But yes.
Obviously the order was waiting for some time to be picked up.
This happens when there aren't many drivers around or its busy.
It has nothting to do with distance OP.

Next time OP should just go for a short walk dont the road and get thier FRESH order hot in the hand.
      Too easy

Yeah, ask for a refund the next day after digesting two burgers last night.

    • -2

Doesnt OP have a microwave oven?
30 secs and the food would have been hot again….seriously

  • +17

So you were prepared to pay an extra $11 to have an order delivered from just 700m away. That aside it would pay to check your next order when it is delivered.

      Lazy tax.

Not installing Mac app or read instructions = rtfm tax?

        • extra $11 to have an order delivered from just 700m away

So, after decades of the LNP selling out the regular public to the corporate donors, this is all now somehow "Albo's fault™"??

If anyone destroyed this shit, it's those LNP arseholes. You really need to get off SkyNews.

Would have been faster to walk there.

  • What did you tip?

  • Burger prices are a bit up there tbh, I feel like you have to go with some sort of combo/sale when you order from places like these, though I'm not sure if you customized the burger?
Delivery fee I think is the flat fee? I know KFC is the same price here and I'm like literally a few hundred metres away.
I'd score it 3/10 - not using combos, and using a place that does a flat delivery fee even though you're close. Definitely not great pricing but you didn't do yourself any favours either OP

  • +2

For future reference, you can order delivery through the mymacca's app (McDelivery). I just checked and the delivery fee is $4.99 and the service fee is half. So you'll save $5 or so.

Or you can get it directly through Doordash, free delivery with DashPass which is $9.99/month (you probably will get it for $0 or $4.99 for first month) and then you can use it for 30 days for other stuff.

The screen shot isn't of the invoice, it looks like the order page prior to actually placing the order.

OP, are you ok? This is both a bad attempt at a made up post and also such a weird thing to make up.

Surely you should have UberOne given how they basically give it away.

    Check your mastercard(s) https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/859385

    • I do but with Maccas you barely save anything cause they have a flat delivery fee

      • Surely there'd be a burger place open at 9pm with free delivery :(

    • +1

McDonald's is excluded from UberOne free delivery.

burger on its own is already a crime

It wasn't on it's own, it had another burger for company.

This is not how you 'adult'.

  • Should have gone and got it yourself.

Using these food delivery apps is supporting the business model where the delivery drivers do not get good conditions. Sloppy food is not the only price you pay

    $29 for two burgers!
Why are you an ozbargain member?
