McSpicy burger is rubbish. Chicken is so dry.

    • First had it in KL years ago and it was so good, tried it when it came out here and it wasn't bad, but pretty underwhelming

      • spicier in melbourne than sydney

    • +1

Try the mccrispy much better mine last few times was very juicy

  • +31

Wow you just love throwing money away.

  • +2

    ooooooooooooooooooooooooft 36bux,

  • +9

    0/10 not KFC

  • +1

as expected the driver is at the other end of town delivering other people (multi apping ?) while order is sitting at Maccas. That chicken better be hot im telling you

    • +35

everything about your order is going to be dry, cold and sad

      • Soo, standard McDonald's?

  • +10

Legit, how does it come to $36!?!?

3 burgers and they're not even meals?

Is that from a food app? Delivery and surcharges included I assume

    • +4

$9.5 delivery fee (lol) and $2 processing fee (yet I have Uber One) + inflated prices for each item due to ordering on Uber.

Update 8.32pm : Driver is now stuck at Maccas for a good 10 minutes, probably arguing with 16yo employees to find my order. Will update when i know more.

      • +18

^ This BS is what stops me from ordering via the Apps.

Not only do they rip you off, the food always arrives cold. And they have the balls to ask for tips! lol!

          • +33

@coffeeinmyveins: When I am going to go pick it up myself, my food hasn't been sitting on the counter for 5-10 minutes before I get there. And then after I pick it up, I go straight home - I don't leave it in the car while I drive around to other places.

            • +13

@bobbified: And probably had most of the chips while driving
              .

              • @Nugs: haha that couldn't be any more true!

          • +2

            @coffeeinmyveins:

            magically hotter?

            Nope, it's physics.

          • +1

@coffeeinmyveins: Well if you're going to go the way to a Macca's, you may as well eat it there

        • +7

If you don't want your order to arrive cold, just order frozen drinks or Ice cream. Guaranteed to arrive nice and warm!

        • And missing items all the time… once they missed 1 out of 4 burgers I ordered!!!

      • Did you miss out on all of the free Uber One deals in the past few months? Only need a mastercard or PayPal account.

    • Uber

    • +5

Yes I remember the days when ScoMo was giving out fere Maccas vouchers.

  • +5

    https://ibb.co/RNzLQj0

not gonna brag here i feel ashamed. $40 for this, they be cold and even hard like cardboard ?

    • +5

surely you can complain to uber eats and say they all arrived cold, gime my money back cuz

    • +3

Is it even possible to not get cold soggy burgers from Uber Eats?

    • +12

That is actually painful. Tbh I don't know what you were really expecting, you picked probably the worst three burgers on the menu but this just looks so sad.

    • Pick it up yourself?

    • +6

The existence of regular beef patty indicates the existence of irregular beef patty

    • +2

reminds me why i haven't eaten any mcdonalds since i was a child

  • How can you add more than 3 patties to Macca's order online

    • App hack. You can order as many patties as you like, no need to even order a burger

  • +1

you will still be hungry after

  • -6

Due to feeling bloated and overall dizzy I had to contact Uber support. Wish Maccas implemented food heat lamps instead of having food sitting on the desk for 30minutes

    • +8

Having heat lamps won't suddenly make shit burgers taste good, the problem starts way before the food hits the counter.

  • +1

    Idk what I expected

  • +10

I’d +1 you purely for ordering a fillet o fish. Bloody knew you were a man of culture.

    • +4

it's the most underrated buger to this day, I cant explain why.

      and that sauce damn

      • "it's the most underrated buger to this day, I cant explain why.

        and that sauce damn"

did you mean booger or bugger?

      • try double fillet next time

        • I had a double fillet o fish morning after my first son was born. Maccas was the closest restaurant by far to the hispital… idk it was ok. Personally prefer two single burgers.

    • +1

seriously faake fish with fake cheese and fake mayo on a fake bun

      :o

  • +1

Your weed probably cost double that anyways I spose

  • +12

Honestly there are so many McDonald's that you probably live pretty close to one. Uber eats is the ultimate lazy tax and you paid dearly

    • Mate it’s not a lazy tax, my local cafe sells $9 deliveried bacon egg rolls on it. Buy 3 get one free.
It’s not even worth getting out of bed for

  • +7

Well this post has made me feel a bit better about what I thought was overpriced burgers when my wife dragged me to a burger restaurant the other week. It cost $62 but at least we got 2 x large burgers, chips, onion rings, a beer and a milkshake.

As a bonus the place had good music and the waitress that delivered our food smelt better and looked better than any Uber delivery person I’ve seen…

    • +5

the waitress that delivered our food smelt better

I'm surprised they didn't kick you out for sniffing their waitress!

      • +2

        Lol.
I’m hypersensitive to perfumes, I could barely smell her, as opposed to most Uber drivers who smell like they’ve just emptied an entire can of lynx.

        • +4

Fk.. I don't think anyone needs to be hypersensitive to smell them uber drivers… haha

        • +5

I see an Uber driver at least once a day at work lately because we use them for super urgent deliveries - most of them I would be glad for to use a whole can of lynx. Wasn’t aware the human body could make such body odour.

    • +1

To be fair, a stone and wood at my local burger place is $14 lmao

    • +3

It's Uber bro, not Australia's Next Top Model.

  • +19

“I can’t afford a house or rent… house and rent prices are too darn high… How are younger generations supposed to buy a house? Damn you Albanese…”

*orders 3 hamburgers for $40 and has them delivered*

  • +2

    Who spends $36 on maccas?

I got 2 burgers, 2 large fries, 4 cafe drinks the other night for $18. Granted I used 7000 rewards points and I got off my lazy backside and made my partner drive to get it, so there was no delivery fee….

    • +2

      "Who spends $36 on maccas?"
The real question is why are ppl so stupid as to eat it in the first place. It's the only food group you can put in the recycling bin/ Pure cardboard

    • I agree. Ever since McDonald's rewards began, I've never paid full price again. If theres an offer, I'll eat it.

    • You had to physically motivate your partner? This is no longer acceptable in this day and age…

  • +13

So… that's $12 per burger. Mate you just paid $12 for a Fillet O Fish, hand in your Ozbargain membership.

  • +1

Legitimate question, is maccas ever going to be ok delivered?
When I lived 4mins away the ride directly home from drive thru left the chips soggy and the burgers sloppy.

  • +1

My highlight of this post is the fillet o fish. I’ve never seen anyone order that before.

    • +4

no one does, that pattie must have been deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep in the freezer, like stuck to the bottom of it

      • +1

My ex-housemate used to eat them. I kept trying to bring myself to try one and I couldn't do it. Never met anyone else who eats them though.

      • wait are they not wrapped in plastic or something ? that's gross

  • +8

You could have actually ordered food for that much money.

    • Studies have shown they are not too bad when consumed in combination with food.

  • +4

Cooking is a highly recommended life skill. Cheaper, fresh, hot food quicker than waiting for that uber.

  • +5

    EPILOGUE

after profound stomach cramps, dizziness and what looks like the start of a diarrhea due to the food being left at counter for nearly half an hour without heat lamp, I called Uber Customer service and asked for a regional manager to study my case

I was able to get my money back for what was clearly not the most memorable food experience of my life.
    https://ibb.co/FqhZk1m

    • +1

You should’ve written a complaint to the McDonald's Australia CEO for monetary compensation due to emotional trauma and irregular bowl movement, a refund from Uber is simply unsatisfactory given you expected a 3 Star Michelin culinary experience.

    • +6

Dude, it could be there 2 hrs and you’d be fine. Your body just doesn’t like that shit. I’ve heard it referred to as poison - there’s a reason.

    • +1

due to the food being left at counter for nearly half an hour without heat lamp

Lol processed food packed with preservatives sitting there not even 30 minutes won't do shit…

It's made by underpaid 14 year olds, with an underpaid manager not much older suppose to supervise them. It's completely possible there was a patty there that was either undercooked, cross contaminated, leftover and forgotten to chuck or that your body just needs more nutritious foods.

    • Now call the Maccas it came from and complain about the quality of your food.

  • Boycott Maccas.

  • +4

Will provide feedback on food quality

OP, you deserve to be slapped for calling Maccas food

You basically consumed slightly-larger eatable versions of these soaked in Chicken, Fish & Beef Fat
aaaaaaaand to think you paid $36.40 when you could have ordered a decent meal (actual food) elsewhere for the same cost…

    • -2

what does $36 get you in 2023? any soggy avocado toast around the corner sells for $20 I'm afraid

      • +3

One would argue that soggy avocado toast is actual food

Plenty of other options available within the $36 price range.
Plenty more options if you opt to cook your own food, which is not only cheaper but fresher and is food that your body can digest properly with actual nutritional value…

      • Biyiani has been my go to lately. Easily find one cheaper than $36.

  • +1

0/10. I think you deserve what you got. Buy a decent meal next time.

  • Bravo at your free food tactics. Ubereats something that is bound to be crap on delivery, even if it wasn’t delayed by 30 mins.

  • Hamburgers used to be $1.50
This is worse than a pricejack sale on eBay!

    • +1

$1 in 2019 in Perth (Highgate)

what have we become in 4 years ?

  • Was all that worth it to save going out yourself to get it?

  • Wtf is half a cheese slice? Rectangle instead of square, or thinner??

    • They snap it in half. Cheese is one of the more expensive ingredients for them.

      • I'm personally a Big Mac kinda-guy but I'm shocked half a fillet-o-fish is missing cheese. How misleading of the pictures!

Damn. Same half slice is on the chicken-n-cheese burger.

  • take a screenshot

  • is that uber?

  • Will provide feedback on food quality

    What food quality?

    OP's username definitely checks out.
