Imation 25GB Blank Blu-Ray Discs $3.74 Each @ Officeworks (Online Only/ Pick-up in Store)

32

I was looking through the OW tech clearances and found these. Blank blu-ray discs are usually pretty expensive so I thought this was a decent deal, and it's cheaper to buy 5 individually than to buy a 5 pack from them. Only available online but you can pick up at your local Officeworks store so there are no extra charges for shipping. As this is a clearance item, stock is more than likely limited. From the OW site:

"Strictly while stocks last. Availability may vary from state to state. Please proceed to checkout to confirm availability in your area."

  • Innovative new disc structure using blue laser technology.
  • Supports all format standards for Blu-ray hardware, optical media and content protection specified by the Blu-ray Association.
  • Extremely fast access speeds will allow interactive use via broadband web and satellite.
  • Recorders, players and drives will play standard CD and DVD disc formats (CD-R, DVD-R, DVD+R, etc.). The capability to write standard CD and DVD disc formats is drive dependant.
  • Many movie studios and video providers are embracing the Blu-ray format.

"Many movie studios and video providers are embracing the Blu-ray format." Really? No way. HD-DVD is definitely the way of the future. That and Betamax. Gotta love those manufacturer descriptions, eh? Thanks, OP. An ok price if all you need is one disc, but as others have noted you can fairly easily get better deals out there (even at Officeworks) if you don't mind buying a few more at the time.
