Shame. I guess I'll just need to get a lot of JB cards, convert them all, and order online then.

      • my first time using these gift cards, but correct me if i'm wrong, if I want $1000 in JB gift card value, i'd have to buy 10 x $100 Ultimate Him gift cards, then exchange them for JB gift cards? Where do I do this last step of exchanging Ultimate gift cards for JB gift cards?

        • +6

if I want $1000 in JB gift card value, i'd have to buy 10 x $100 Ultimate Him gift cards

          Yes.

then exchange them for JB gift cards?

If you are purchasing from the JB Hi-Fi website, you have to exchange your Ultimate gift cards for JB Hi-Fi gift cards, because you cannot redeem 10x Ultimate gift cards in one online transaction (because you would be effectively trying to redeem 10x Visa cards in one online transaction, which is something JB Hi-Fi cannot handle).

If you are purchasing a physical JB Hi-Fi store, you do not have to exchange your Ultimate gift cards for JB Hi-Fi gift cards. The JB Hi-Fi in-store checkouts can split payments between 10x Ultimate gift cards, as long as the staff member lets you do that (which they should). If you go down this route, you will need to tell the staff you want to split payments between multiple Visa cards and each time tell them the exact amount you want to redeem from each Ultimate gift card. (Do not say anything about gift cards, because if a staff member hears a customer say gift cards, they may assume you are talking about JB Hi-Fi gift cards, and the redemption of Ultimate gift cards is handled very differently to JB Hi-Fi gift cards.)

Where do I do this last step of exchanging Ultimate gift cards for JB gift cards?

You need to go to the Ultimate gift card website, and click on the link for Exchange for eGift. Links to the Ultimate gift card website can be found in the table in the deal description. You will need the Ultimate gift card's card number, expiry date and CVV2 to access the exchange portal. If you do not know the expiry date you use for purchases with physical Ultimate gift cards, you can go to the balance check website for physical Ultimate gift cards to view it (and the link for this can also be found on the Ultimate gift card website).

Lastly, have you looked the FAQ page linked at the bottom of the deal description? It already has FAQs for redeeming Ultimate gift cards at JB Hi-Fi in-store and online.

          • +1

@WookieMonster: thanks for all the help! I did look at the FAQ page but the exchange for eGift was where i got stuck (as I dont have the ultimate gift card yet i guess i couldnt access the portal to see where i can exchange for physical cards). thanks for your insight though!

        • Ultimate Home and Ultimate Thanks can also perform the same role as they are redeemable at JB Hi-Fi.

      • nah just let the wagie do it for 50mins - they usually are happy to do it coz then it means you'll have no one else to deal with during that time.

  • can you exchange to JB gift cards online?

  • Pity, no card has Myer as redeem option.

    • Myer cooperates with Coles group so keep an eye on the Coles deals for Myer GCs.

      • Not true; sometimes there's x% bonus at Woolies

        • +3

Highest discount Woolies has ever done is an extra 10% on top of your card value whilst Coles normally does 15%.

  • +1
    • Is it confirmed there will be 15% discount next month ?

    • +2

      porque no los dos

    • This one was in 2023, two years ago! It would be nice to have it, but if anyone needs to buy anything now I will not hold off for it. Otherwise one may be waiting for another year or two!

      • +2

        • My bad. I live in the future. One year ago.

  • grrrrrrr - I need to make a massive booking on AirB&B and have been holding my breath for a GC deal. @WookieMonster - am I missing any tricks assuming we wont see any bonus points/discounts any tine soon….

    • Last time, I split the payment in Airbnb and second half was covered with GCs

      • Id like to pay it all with AirB&B GCs - just need some with bonus points to turn up ASAP

    • Prezzee nab $5 off $100 better than nothing. My friends and I each bought some for same booking.

    • +2

I think Ultimate gift cards will not help you getting Airbnb gift cards. I cannot think of any participating retailers of Ultimate gift cards selling Airbnb gift cards.

I think you are stuck with what you can scrounge through generic bonus cashback deals at ShopBack or Cashrewards, the Prezzee nab offer, or through member-only gift card portals (e.g. Reward Gateway, NIB, Australian Unity). I will mention that Aura is offering ~4% cashback on Airbnb gift cards, but I cannot vouch for Aura’s reliability either way.

    • I've been waiting for a deal on this too. According to the Gift Card History, Woolies had it on promo every few months last year, but for some reason both Woolies and Coles have been quiet on it this year since Feb.

      • Yea i saw that. Used to be regular

      • +1

Had to just go Bupa 5% for airbnb this week. Not any other choice right now

  • what is the deal for coles next week

  • It's been a while since the last time they had MasterCard or Visa on sale.

  • always dreamed of bunnings being included 🤣😂🤣

  • Ultimate eats for Menulog… How does this work, is it like uber with credits added to your account?

  • +1

sadly baby ones not including baby bunting

  • question - could we redeem other gift cards with EDR points? I could easily do it with flybuy points, but not able to figure it out in rewards app

  • Just bought a couple now, and my local stores must have had 100's of them, also it states up to 14 days for the bonus points but I got them in a matter of minutes. Thanks OP!

    • Woolwoth's IT system is way much better than the red store especially on tracing points.

  • My local store has a bunch but they’re all the old designs - will they still apply? I can’t find any info

    • +2

On the fine print it mentioned "Colours, sizes and styles may vary by store.", so the old designs are still applicable with this one.

      • That’s reassuring. I’ve also heard that the checkout will display the amount of bonus points earnable so I’ll verify before paying. Thanks buddy

        • +1

Can confirm. I could only purchase the older cards at my local and got the points instantly. Could even see the points value on the cashier’s screen, without asking, before I made payment.

  • Has anyone tried buying more than 5 in a day? i remember buying more than the daily limit for the coles/flybuys equivalent and it worked but have never tried with everyday rewards 😅

  • Hi Guys,

I visited Woolworths in Gungahlin and saw an interesting rewards offer for 20x points. I asked a team member about the purchase limit and was told it was up to $1000. I made a purchase but only received 10,000 points instead of the expected 20,000. Just be careful. Staff may scam you.

    Thank you.

    • +3

The deal terms and conditions says:

      For cards with a fixed value, limit of 5 cards per day per Rewards Member. Reward Points $30 = 600, $50 = 1000, $100 = 2000.

The largest denomination eligible for this deal is $100, and considering you mentioned you expected to earn 20,000 points, it sounds like you purchased more than 5 gift cards today (i.e. you went over the daily limit for this deal).

If you contact Everyday Rewards and explain that staff told you that purchasing 10 gift cards was fine, they may manually credit the missing 10,000 Everyday Rewards points.

I would honestly not expect all store staff to stay on top of the terms and conditions of each gift card deal, especially since the terms and conditions changes from week to week; some offers have a 2 per day limit, some have a 5 per day limit, some have a 10 per day limit…

    • -1

just bought 10 of $100, only got 10k points instead of 20k. Is there any chance I can return?

  • Yeah ive bought $750 worth of gifts card $100x7 and $50x1
Got 10k bonus points. I will try to call them tmr

    • +1

Read the T&C above, max 5 cards per day. So only 10k points for the 5 $100 cards.

  • Is there a limit on number of transactions per day?
I had to split the 5 Ultimate Him gift cards over 3 transactions as the operator couldn't do more than 2 at a time.
I noticed that my Everyday rewards account shows the correct number of points, but only the first set of 2 (2000 points) has gone across to Qantas.

    • I was able to purchased 5x HIM gift cards with one EDR card and 5x HIM with my partner's EDR without an issue.
I wanted $1500 for a purchase, so this morning I did the same 5x HIM to my EDR. The 15,000 points ($1500 x 10 Qantas points) were in my QFF account instantly.
The limit is 5 cards per EDR card for the bonus, but there shouldn't otherwise be a related limit to the number of cards you can buy in a single transaction…

      • I understand that I could buy 5 cards per day. But, the limitation was that this particular store didnt have a supervisor who could approve more than 2 cards at a time. So, I purchase 5 cards across 3 transactions. Would this affect bonus points earn?

  • I bought 15x Ultimate HIM cards over yesterday and today across 2x EDR cards (mine and my partner) and we received the bonus points instantly.
Trying to exchange these for JB Hi-Fi gift cards so I can use them all in a single online transaction but I'm being met with "Sorry this card number has not been recognised." when putting the details into https://exchangeyourcard.com.au/ (linked from https://www.ultimategiftcards.com.au/). I have a receipt that each card has been activated successfully and can also check the balances without an issue.
Anyone else have this problem? I've confirmed that these shouldn't have an issue being exchanged for JB Hi-Fi gift cards, according to the website and terms that I've read through before purchasing, so I don't think that's the issue. Cheers.

    • +1

Can you check the balance on the balance check website for physical Ultimate gift cards? (https://myprepaidcentre.com.au/) If so, that means your gift card is activated.

Whilst you are on that balance check website, make a note of the expiry date used for purchases. You need to use that expiry date on the exchange portal. (My bet is that you are using the wrong expiry date.)

      • +2

Thank you!! This was the issue!! It was racking my brain.

The cards themselves say 3 years expiry, which is true, but when checking the balance on the wbeiste you linked it indicates:

        Expiration 31/12/2029.

Entering 12/29 as the expiry when doing the card exchange worked a treat!
I see further down on the page after checking the balance it gives more information on this:

        Expiration Date: 12/2029
Use this date in the expiry field when making online purchases or adding your card to a digital wallet. Your card will expire 3 years from the date of issue per the terms and conditions.
        Card Service Expiration Date: 08/2027
Your card's service expiration date is based on the date you activated the card. Your card can no longer be used after the last day of 08/2027.

        • +1

It is one of the quirks of the Ultimate gift card scheme, and it stems from the fact that that when you manufacture a physical payment card (e.g. a physical Visa card, such as the Ultimate gift cards you purchase), you have to code in an expiry date into the magstripe. It is not possible to change the expiry date coded into the magstripe after the card has been manufactured, which means purchasing an Ultimate gift card at Woolworths will not change this expiry date.

As an aside, the version of the Ultimate gift cards shown in the catalogue and on the in-store posters use a different expiry date to the ones you purchased (but at least you can see that expiry date on the gift card packaging itself).

    • I had the same issue earlier today when trying to redeem 10 Ultimate Home cards for IKEA gift cards. It seemed to be some kind of throttling, because the only thing that fixed it was connecting to a VPN and then the subsequent orders went through straight away. Then after exchanging for the IKEA card I received another message saying I had been blocked when trying to open the IKEA gift card. Can’t remember what I did but ended up getting the IKEA gift card details and processing the order through IKEA website without issue.

  • Just called them and they say the points will be awarded for a max of 5 cards.

    • What if you purchased them on different days and/or different stores?

      • I purchased 5 Ultimate Home cards yesterday and today at the same store and received full rewards points for both transactions.

        • just bought 10 of $100, only got 10k points instead of 20k. Is there any chance I can return?

          • @sneakerhead: Wouldn't you have received 10,500 points?

            10,000 for the 5 cards (@20x)

and 500 points for the 5 cards (@1x)

Problem is - I think WW has a clause in their policy that gift cards aren't refundable.

  • Hey guys,
Do you know if there is a way for me to 3 exchange 10×100 ultimate gift card into 1 jbhifi gift card with 1000 dolalr value ?

    • My understanding is you can only exchange one Ultimate card at a time, I wanted to do the same thing but with IKEA gift cards and couldn’t.

  • If transferring the points to QFF, what's better value, 20x points or 10% off price?

  • Are the cards in the older packaging still eligible for points?

    • Can confirm cards in older packing qualify for points. The store I went to was almost completely cleared out of stock in the new packaging, but on the other side of the stand there were 100s of cards in the old packaging. Looks like people are only going by the picture of the card.
