  • How come some of the items are not listed? For an example, Ubiquiti UniFi G5 Turret Ultra is not searchable? That's quite lame.

    • +7

Those G5 Turret’s are a hot item, backordered into next century. Nobody is getting those anytime soon unfortunately.

      Nice try though.

      • +1

Been waiting on G5 Turret Ultras to ship from Wireless1 for months! That's probably why they aren't including them in this sale.

        • +2

          Mine arrived last week 👍

        • I was lucky to get 4 of mine also, but from a different store. You may want to try your luck at a "less popular shop"…

    • No G4 instant either :(

  • +3

Are we going to see the same sluggish laggy website that took 90 minutes to check out like your last promo?

    • Yeah it was a shitshow. But to be fair to the, I contacted them the next day and they gave me a 19% voucher for the product that I wanted and I ended up buying it.

  • Shopping Cart
You have no items in your shopping cart.
    …. I'd checked out!!

Edit: Got a receipt! Hopefully ok.

    • +2

Once you checkout your cart should be empty?

Any tips on a 2.5GbE switch? Is my cheapest option the $959 enterprise switch?

    • +6

      Yeah ubiquiti are overcharging here.

Be interested to see if there are some cheaper options

    • Flex xg is a $500 10gbe switch with.. no poe. Argh

    • +1

      https://www.servethehome.com/the-ultimate-cheap-2-5gbe-switc…

I've been looking at 2.5gbe switches recently and going to take a punt on a hasivo 8 port 2.5gbe poe switch (around 200$), based on the reviews. I have some unifi gear but I'm not willing to pay their prices for the most part.

      • and you can get a bunch of them on aliexpress - stacking with these coupons https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/861427. Im waiting on one of these 2.5Gbe (non poe) switch with 2x SFP+ for $45.

        • What did you go with? Looking at something similar.

Paying 800 for a dashboard view is not a good use of money.

          • @Wally Simmonds: I got this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006820869547.html - hasn't arrived so no idea if it's any good.

The dashboard view is so pretty and satisfying though… But completely agree. Was considering the usw aggregation switch, with this deal would have been $400 for 8 SFP+ port. Well, this deal ended early so money saved!

            • @lawyerz: Yeah I might be able to swing it at 400 but 800 bucks? Cmon Ubiquiti, that's really taking the piss.
That Horaco unit seems like its cheap enough for a punt. My use case is just getting the best performance for a Quest 3 - not really worth spending big money on.
Edit: forgot I need POE, duh. Ended up with this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007336461227.html?spm=a2…

              • +1

@Wally Simmonds: Reporting back, the unmanaged Horaco switch is a phenomenal purchase. My clients still show up in unifi dashboard. I'm getting full and reliable 10gbps.

Can't believe the cheapest possible option from ubiquiti is at least 11 times more expensive (usw aggregation+SFP adaptor)

  • +1

Hopefully you keep it up this time Rep 👍

    • +1

They did.. in fact.. not keep it up…

  • +1

Looking for recommendations for a good 24 port PoE switch. Is the US-24-250W-AU still the best option? Saw the USW-24-POE is only 95W and only 16 ports with PoE.

      • +1

LOL. I was looking for "good" not "best". I could get 3 of the other ones for that price 😅

    • +2

95w is not bad but maybe not future proof. usw-pro-24-poe with 400w budget is what I bought recently. However, 1 gbps itself is not a great speed these days…

    • +2

I think, but not sure, the 250w that you mentioned is a gen1 switch which could be a bit noisy due to the fans.

      • +1

Can confirm. Have my switch setup in a laundry cabinet and the noise of the gen 1 switch fans is incredibly annoying. You can do a easy swap of the fans to noctua fans though if you want. The gen 1 250w poe is the best value switch of the lot. A lot of tend to get rid of the gen 1 switches for cheap on marketplace because they get sick and tired of the noise if you would rather go that route.

    • I'm considering USW-Pro-24-POE, 400w POE budget.

      • I have this and it’s a great bit of kit

  • +6

When will we start to see stock of the cloud gateway max?

    • Came here to ask this as well

  • Would love to buy more Unifi cameras from Wireless1 but my last order from them for Unifi G5 Turret Ultras from back in July still hasn't shipped :-(

    • +1

There are G5 Turret orders from April that haven’t shipped yet apparently.

      • +1

If it takes much longer I will probs ask for a refund and just buy them from TechGeeks. Those guys have always been super reliable and deliver super fast.

  • +1

Is it I should order at Aug 15 in order to get this discount ?

    Any delivery ETA if I order a U7-Pro ?

    • Yeah, might have to order too.

  • +1

Any chance of the covers for G4 Doorbell Pro this century?

  • -1

Looks like jack is at it…

  • +2

    @Wireless1 when does this end?

  • Websites unusable. Tried adding things to cart, just spinning 🤷‍♂️

  • Damn it, was not in a rush but bought last month from the ebay wireless1 deal cause i thought it was a good price then. Would have waited had I knew there was going to be a sale so soon :(

  • @Wireless1 how does the 5% partial refund work?

    • +1

You probably have to PM the rep.

      • Thanks.

      • Good luck with that. PMd rep twice to ask if he could look into order delay from last deal for me and he never replied. It was a bit dissapointing to be honest. Wasn't asking for much either: expected ETA in my first message and in the second one I asked if he could follow up and let me know he got my message…just to know someone was at least getting back to me.

@Wireless1, will you be organising the 5% for us?

        • +1

Also, I want my 5% too, and 4 weeks waiting for item to be shipped. Invoice has been issue on the day put in the order, basically lost 4 weeks of warranty.

  • +2

what should i buy… i know i need to use ubiquiti gear to be a true ozbargainer!

    • U7 pro and UCG Ultra

      • cheers, i was looking at that gw

  • +1

    U7pro @ $280 absolue steal

  • +3

the UCG Ultra at ~ $160 is a great deal. All time low?

    https://www.wireless1.com.au/ubiquiti-cloud-gateway-ultra-uc…

    • +1

I paid $190 and think it’s great. Definitely a steal.

    • When I do an order just for that, postage is around $15 so you lose around half the discount.

  • Can you use for normal home, trying to future proof.

    • +3

yes but it gets very expensive and you get sucked into the ecosystem.

This system is also best wired, so if you're not willing run cables, this isn't the best solution.

  • +1

I had two U7 Pro Max in my shopping cart but website wouldn’t load to process payment.

    They’re now showing as OOS.

Are you able to honour it?

    • Just get the pro instead. Do you really need pro max?

    • Wait, I thought U7 Pro Max is not available in AU yet.

      • Yes it is. I ordered last week from another supplier and it arrived yesterday (of course just before this 19% discount!)

    • Its actually a big waste of money for the Pro Max. You wont see the speeds advertised, especially if your lucky to have your NBN connection at 1GB You will see 1GB. I have the U7 Pro and I consistently get 1GB down on my S24 Ultra. Its pointless getting the Pro Max.

      • +1

If only it had a 10gbe uplink.

  • -1

Prices actually any cheaper than other mobs regular everyday prices. All i see is high rrp and discounted prices same same as everyone else?

    • You have to check everything, some end up cheap (U7 Pro) but some end up more expensive than from other suppliers.

  • Negged. No stock until 23rd August, but still selling on ebay and promoting here.

    Received this message earlier today:

We are contacting you regarding your order of the Ubiquiti U7-Pro Access Point. We do apologise, there is a delay. It is estimated to be around the 23rd of August for stock to be available.

As this is a bit of a wait, may we ask if you want to proceed with the order? If not, we can process a cancellation at your request.

    Kind regards,
    Wireless 1 Team

    • Same happened to me last time saying no ETA on stock availability. I pushed them until they shipped the order.

    • +2

I mean, i dont mind waiting 9 days to ship for $280 for u7 pro..

      • I do. Especially when the ebay listing I bought this from 4 days ago says "2-4 days shipping", then I received that message on day 4, and then I see them promoting sales here.
        OP is taking the piss.

    • -2

      Hi TimU,

Please PM us your order # from eBay and we will pioritise your order dispatch once we know the details.

Apologise for the inconvenience caused and we will do our best to rectify that the best we can.

      Thanks

      • Too little, too late.
If you really cared, you would have already prioritised my ebay order before promoting a product that you can't supply.

Please cancel my eBay order as requested in eBay messages.
I've already reordered from somewhere who can supply within the time promised.

  • +2

    U7-Pro out of stock :-(

    • :(

    • Yep, I tried to place an order too but no luck… :(

    • It's on back order now

      • +1

Thanks, just ordered .. lets see when the stock will be arrived

  • UDM SE @ $791.37 that is very good value… thank you!

    • Yeah damn that's actually cool. :)

    • A bit underwhelming with those 1gbe ports.. =/

      • Realistically, most people aren't using gigabit as is for internet and for home-use, again most don't have a use case for 2.5gbe… If you're working with stuff that requires more than 115~MB/s transfer speeds locally, you'd probably want to use mostly local storage/direct connection storage anyway. I don't see a huge use case for home networking faster than gigabit apart from saying 'networking go brrr'

        • Realistically, most people wont be buying ubiquiti for their home use networking if they dont have a use for it… I don't see the UDM SE is for the typical home user.. The way i see this; this is intentional so you have to buy a separate switch that is at least 2.5gbe with PoE+ that makes ubiquiti kaching $ kaching $

Why bother with wifi 7 AP when it has a 2.5gbe uplink connected to a 1gbe switch for?

  • Yoooo, wtf just happened?!

I just made an order for the G5 Pro Camera.

I clicked to confirm my order, and the page did some loading/processing before returning to an empty cart.

My card was charged, but I've received no order confirmation emails, nor can I see the order created in my account.

@Wireless1 ya site is borked m8.

    • that happened to me and I freaked out… thankfully the confirmation order receipt came into my inbox 5ish mins later

      • I'm still waiting… lol

  • Damn, I hope I see this deal in the future. Not ready to buy yet but this is a bargain for the U7 Pro

  • +3

Was gonna grab the U7 Pro, but did some research and:
    - has active cooling (a fan)
    - supposedly works on POE but technically requires POE+ which would need me to upgrade my switch.

My current AP-AC-Pro is still kicking, might put upgrading off for when there are some faster residential Internet plans and some decent 2.5Gbit+ gateway offers.

    • what really?! its actively cooled?

    • Ive got one and you dont even hear it mate, no problems

      • I've seen different people reporting both silence and noise, but it still leaves the need for POE+, and last I checked UniFi didn't have any 2.5Gbit POE+ switches with a form factor of a USW-8P :P

  • 28d price protect saving my bacon again ;)

Found checkout to be a little confusing - though maybe just me. Selected the radio button for Paypal and then pressed Place Order expecting the Paypal window to come up. Got the spinning wheel and then it stayed at the order page. I then tried clicking on Paypal itself and this time the Paypal login and payment came up so did that. When I check my account orders, it's now showing as 2 orders placed. Though when I check my Paypal account only one lot of money has been taken by the looks.

@Wireless1 have sent an email with order numbers so I don't get charged or sent 2 lots of items.

  • It is shocking how in the middle of the night the checkout is still dead (Infiniti spinner). :|

    • It's slow for sure but worked okay for me about 20 ago.

      • Ahh, does infinite spin in Safari. Actually works in Chrome.

  • U7 Pro OOS on the website but in stock on ebay
    No code for Ebay though!!

    • It's no in stock at eBay. They're lying. See my comment above.
