Be mindful their 'limited' warranty is pretty dodgy, prorated, paid out as a discount towards a new full/normal priced battery… i.e., if your battery dies at 2.5 years they'll give you 50% of what you paid as a discount to be used to buy a new battery at the current full retail price… (unless things have changed)

Look into the warranty and understand it before purchasing !

edit: and I hear they're a nightmare to deal with for any issues… Don't believe the online sponsored hype that claims the have good support, they don't ;)

    • It was buy these, which after a lot of research they are close to the best bang for buck and decent quality overall, or take my chances with some of the cheap dodgy stuff … which from my research a heap of people have regretted buying, Kings rubbish, which there is strong evidence that the cells are recycled EV cells or just live with the hassle of running my DC fridge flat out during the daylight hours, turning it of overnight (live off-grid) and use ice bricks from the freezer to cool food in the fridge overnight and hope my aged Lead Acid batteries last a while longer.

Not craping on your choices, just pointing out their warranty is fairly useless, it needs to be factored in… They do seem ok for middle ground if you're mindful you basically have no warranty… Personally I wouldn't buy the low end Kings/Outbax/ebay-shyt-recycled-cell-batteries, I need reliability… but the next tier up, Muller, Big Wei, or such, is significantly more money… Just need to be mindful of the trade offs…

If I wasn't broke … company closed and I live in a small country town I'd buy something decent, I also need a new fridge, upright fridge died and am using my chest fridge that was for camping, the biggest/cheapest decent quality DC fridge is $2850 from Bushmans, am starting from scratch to save for that now!

  • Is this same company that is sueing a reviewer ?

    • No, that's the Aussie company DCS…

      • Aint there a bunch of youtubers covering that, that John Cadogan guy is even blabbing about it, loves hating on lithium batteries in EV's … seems DCS is gunna get some bad press!

        • -2

Just heard DCS's web site has been down and they've removed their FB page … suffer!

        • It's more that he hates on the lack of safe guards in place to prevent incidents like the Merc fire in South Korea.

I only just noticed these aren't being sold by Renogy, the seller is an unknown random "family partnership" that's been in business for over a decade but they're not registered for GST (just a backyarder/hobby business i guess?)

    (I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole ! )

He's legit, I've purchased a bit off the guy, yeah … 10yrs in business, that says something!

I've purchased from them. Did take about a week to ship. I don't know if they keep any stock, as far as I know it all ships from Renogys AU logistics warehouse (he says he lives on a bus)

Haven't had a need to test the support, though the talk is that Renogy themselves are bad to deal with and Landon at Zero Grid is much better.
He runs the Renogy Users Australia group on FB

      • If you watch his youtube channel you will see he has a large shed.
