Great price for this knife, about half the cost of any other online price and lower than the $65 I paid for it a 4 years ago.

Not for everyone, this is a hefty knife, forged, softer than your typical German steel with X45 Cr Mo 14 - easy to hone (more frequently) and less likely to chip on harder materials.

  That's not a bad knife at this price (I have one) but there are plenty of choices for a cooks/chef knife as well.

  This is my pumpkin chopper. Pretty much indestructible, even those complete Kents haven't managed to ding the blade. Holds an edge well but it won't ever be one you show off to the local knife worshipper club for how effortlessly it slices a tomato.
