      Because CamelBak is generally a bit pricey. And also generally, they have decent products.

      Plus the Chute opening mechanism isn't bad for drinking out of with its magnet closure. If you've closed it without actually screwing it closed, it kind of stays closed because of the magnets (although certainly not leakproof), but you can just flip it open with one hand. And then again, because of the magnets, the cap stays open and doesn't hit you in the face when you're drinking.

      If the cap is just attached using a bit of plastic or rubber, it might just flop around and hit you in the nose. Or cheek. And that's annoying. First world problems.

      And you can just drink, as opposed by drinking by sucking. Which you don't want to do because that's annoying. Also first world problems.

      Unless you own a CamelBak Eddy+. In which case, it's better. In certain circumstances.

    while these are excellent, the base does not fit in any cup holder and it can be a bit cumbersome, recommend one size down

      Yes that's correct. Still a great bottle for the price but recommend the 0.75L to fit car cup holder
