I think the value in this deal is buying a gift card if possible. Jetstar , Klook, Red Balloon.

Expedia is probably the most useful as it covers hotel and flight bookings. Sennheiser for the noise cancelling headphones.

If the retailer doesn't have a ZIP checkout on their site, then you probably can use the single-use card via the app. So Pay - Online - Generate Single-use card, then pay as normal.

  • Jetstar Gift Card and Gift Vouchers are currently unavailable for purchase.

    • This campaign hasn't even started, but they've already gone :)

  • How do you pay with Zip on Klook?
There's only option to pay with card

    • I believe you'd use the single-use card via the app. So Pay - Online - Generate Single-use card, then pay as normal.

      • Thanks. Bought gift card from Klook. Hopefully the $50 cashback comes soon

        • Klook sent me the egc code last night but just cancel my order now, what’s going on here?

          • @li1123k: My gift cards have been redeemed. Haven't been cancelled

          • @li1123k: Same.

            • @76F: the gift card still works? try redeeming now

              • @gembel: It says cancelled when redeeming.
Customer service says they need to investigate and come back in 48hrs

            • +1

@76F: Now my klook account got deactivated WTF?!

‘Account deactivated. Please contact [email protected] for more information.’

              • @li1123k: Same, wonder if the single-use card triggered some fraud detection.

                • @76F: I used single card also. Immediately redeemed the gift card so probably that's why it didn't get cancelled

              • @li1123k: My Account got deactivated too? What's going on? I redeemed the gift card to my account too.

                • @SR9: My account got deactivated too now… Did you guys got it activated again?

                  • @gembel: Looking for a way to contact them. Anyone here got your account restore? How did you contact them?

                    • @SR9: I sent them email, messaged on fb and talked to them via chat on my partner's account.
                      waiting for response.

                      • @gembel: Have you got to talk to them? I messaged them via Instagram and they said they will pass to the relevant team to get back to me. Not sure when.

                        • @SR9: FB said they will pass it on to customer support.
Live chat said they will investigate and get back within 2 working days
                          Email nothing yet.

@76F @li1123k did you guys managed to get your account reactivated already? How did you contact Klook?

                          • @gembel: They asked for more details after I emailed [email protected]

                            • @76F: Did they respond quickly? And has your account been re-activated since?

                              • @gembel: Still waiting to hear back.

                        • @SR9: I made them aware that other people also having the same issue after paying with Zip.

                        • @SR9: My account just got reactivated. Support from Live Chat (through my partner's account) reactivated my account.
if you are able to contact Live Chat using another account, I think that will be the quickest

                          • @gembel: I talked to them in my other account but they said they will pass on to relevant team and come back in 2 business days. Did they tell you the reason why got deactivated?

                            • +2

@SR9: They said that to me as well, but 1 hour later they messaged me saying that my account is now working again.
                              No reasons.

                              • @gembel: No luck so far for me. Still no update. My partner account got deactivated too and the gift card she bought got cancelled. So annoying when there is no reason given and lack of support from Klook

                              • @gembel: Live chat came back to request more information about my account and asked for screenshots of transactions and personal details and advised it will take 2 working days for them to look into this. Frustrating with Klook.

                                • @SR9: Yup, i provided everything and got reactivated afterwards

                                  • @gembel: My Account finally restored about 1 hour after provided them all the details. And the same no reason or email given.

                                    • @SR9: I asked in live chat and email and Klook are standing firm and not reactivating my account. The last live chat agent said it can be reactivated in 14 days by logging in, click Restore Account and click Confirm in the pop up.

                                      • @flagger: Something wrong with Klook. I talked to 2 agents before they asked me to provide all details about the account and screenshot of the giftcard card transaction but they did insist that it will take 2 working days to look into it but it got reactivated about 1 hour after I provided the details. Maybe send them the screenshot of the giftcard transaction details.

                                        • @SR9: It doesn't really matter now. The gift card is cancelled and 700 people have probably claimed the $100 cashback from Zip.

                                    • @SR9: Still waiting for the zip credit. Hopefully arrives soon

              • @li1123k: My gift card was cancelled and account deactivated too. No explanation as to why. Poor form by Klook.

this'll combine well with jetstars prices to vietnam atm. that's what ill be doing anyway.

  • I wish I knew this earlier. 😭
    Thanks for posting.

How do we know if this is still available or all snapped up?

    • +1

      Second that question

Wish they'd have an 'activate this offer' button like eBay so you can guarantee that you've qualified for the offer.

Otherwise you just risk getting the cashback rejected just cause you're buyer 706th.

      • "New customers get $100 and existing customers get $50 auto-applied to your Zip available balance with 21 days."

And then you have to wait (upto) 21 days for confirmation.

Zip rewards are always annoying compared to Cashrewards etc, as you don't just get cash you can cash out, you have to earn $20 at a time and then it just comes off your future Zip purchases.

If you're someone like me who only uses Zip for deals (as I understand it affects your credit score for just using it regardless of paying back), it's not great, it just keeps you tied to it.

  • Has anyone received their Zip credits yet?

    • +1

Nope, I emailed them got generic response that they are processing and will credit within 21 days.

      • Which email did you contact?
I purchase from Klook on 7th, zip payment processed on 9th, so already 21 days from order date but still haven't received the credit yet.

      • Have you received your credit yet?
        Still waiting for mine…

        • Nah not yet. I think i created a ticket from the zip pay chat and they responded to that ticket.

        • I got my +$100 click frenzy offer today (signed up as a new customer)

          • @Opious: received $50 this afternoon

          • @Opious: just checked, received my credit as well

  • for anyone subscribed to top of the thread - check your zips, credit has touched down for me and seemingly a few others. havent received an email yet, myself.

by 'credit' i mean the amount of money i seem to be available to spend using zip pay has increased by $100. so… now what? do i need to buy stuff with zip like an above comment said to use this 'credit'? i cant see any obvious ways to redeem it at zip checkout..

and they really left it as late as they could, lol.

    • from a help page:

If you have no owing balance ($0) on your Zip account, the cashback will be applied to your available funds to spend.

      what

how is the opportunity to give them more money 'cash' back?

contacting support… we'll see what happens

    • ok, here's what support guy said after some back and forth:

…the cashback is applied as a credit to the available balance on the account.

This means, rather than having $1000.00 available to spend, there is $1100.00 available to spend on the account.

For example, if you purchased something for $1100.00 using your Zip Pay account, you would only be required to pay back $1000.00 of this purchase, as there is a credit for $100.00 on your account.

still doesnt make a ton of sense to me but 🤷‍♀️
