  It'd be nice if they had a sale on the filters themselves. Though I wouldn't hold your breath — seems like it's the razor blade business model.

  I have purchased two Winix Zero Stage-4 Purifier & a Winix Mini
  and they're devices but it's increasingly hard to recommend them given the expense of the filters. It seems the filters themselves tend to be about 1/3 of the cost of the unit itself.

  By contrast, if you get a Xiaomi you open yourself up to 3rd party sellers of filters & a more affordable 1st party filter option. If I had my time again, I'd get them instead.

    I have been looking into air purifiers the last week or so, and have been going down quite the rabbit hole!

  Keep in mind Plasmawave is a marketing spin on 'emits ozone', which they've cleverly avoided because… an air purifier releasing harmful chemicals is quite ironic.
